Glen Johnson, Jose Enrique and Pepe Reina are all available for Liverpool’s trip to the Emirates on Wednesday. Vincent Kompany is set to be sidelined for around two to three weeks according to David Platt, while City’s defence was dealt another blow by the news that Matija Nastasic is a doubt for tomorrow’s trip to QPR due to a knee problem.

Carlos Cuellar, Danny Rose and Lee Cattermole are unlikely to return for Sunderland’s home clash with Swansea, though Martin O’Neill will assess the trio tomorrow. Seb Bassong and Steven Whittaker are both available for Norwich, bolstering the Canaries’ backline ahead of Tottenham’s visit on Wednesday evening.

Adam Lallana may be involved for Southampton at United, while new boy Vegard Forren could be set for a debut at centre-half. Fabian Delph is a doubt for Villa with the ankle injury that forced him off at Millwall in the FA Cup on Friday evening, though Nathan Baker is expected to return. Harry Redknapp has revealed Shaun Wright-Phillips and Junior Hoilett are doubts for QPR, while Bobby Zamora seems set for a bench spot as he builds up his fitness.

Alan Pardew confirmed earlier that Moussa Sissoko will start for Newcastle against Villa but admitted he has “tough decisions to make elsewhere” as he looks to integrate a number of new signings.

              Probably Dzeko if he's starting and Aguero isn't.
              If Clichy is out then Nasty seems best option or stretch to Zab. HTH in the same boat myself.

              I would still prefer to play safe with Zab + 4.0 bencher over Clichy and Dawson but there's not much in it.

      i don't think anyone punting on Aguero will have for just 1 week even if he doesn't start... and you can know if he is playing before the deadline so if you are on a WC you should have a backup plan in case Aguero is not on the teamsheet.

    I find Rodgers interviews incredibly hard to watch. He is soo intense. He talks like a manager who has already made it. Blaming the young players, saying they aren't tough enough, he signed some of the players, he picked the team. Takes no responsibility.

    Can't decide between Mignolet or Begovic, I think Bego has the better fixtures but Mignolet will continue to make me money I'd imagine so cashing in on Bego might not be the worst idea...but then again it probably is the worst idea ever 😐

      It's either midweek before or after really.

      If decision goes favouring Swansea, it will be played the midweek before and Liverpool will play 3 in 1 week (in between Europe fixtures)
      and if decision goes favouring Liverpool, it should be played the midweek after and Swansea will play 3 matches in 1 week.

      I hate these DGW madness so hopefully it's favouring Liverpool 😀

      Zabaleta. Baines has posted clean sheets but with the last two games, it still makes four for the season. I say Zab on the strength of the city defence, his recent emergence and the 1.5m savings instead of Baines.

    Using my WC in gw25 so have to use my FT. What do u choose?
    A: luiz >> huth and start ahead of Davies
    B: podolski >> fletch
    C: luiz + podolski >> Baines + dzeko (if he starts)/fletcher (-4)

    Can't think of any other options but currently leaning on C as I have a good feeling about Baines and its his last chance to show me if I shd include him or not in my WC team:)
