A fortnight ago, we rolled out a Preview Movie of the latest addition to our Members Area – the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) tables. Essentially, these track the frequency of certain key statistics that can help Fantasy managers identify a player’s form – whether it be a turn for the good or worse – over a Gameweek range or season. With this in mind, our first KPI focused members article looks at Robin Van Persie’s first season at United compared to his final year leading the line for Arsenal.

By tracking Van Persie’s frequency of key stats, Fantasy managers can begin to quantify and identify the exact areas of the Dutchman’s game that have altered since his move to Old Trafford last summer as they prepare potential investment for the season ahead.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Currently looking at Sturridge, Lukaku and Soldado to start off.

Prefer Berbs and Lambert around that price to be honest, and whichever City striker looks to be most nailed at least to start the season. Of course Bony could explode, and looks a good player, but I'd just like to wait and see how he gets on for that price.

Yea, i know what you mean.

If it transpires that Dzeko is actually Pellegrini's first choice it will def make life a whole lot easier for me, and i'm guessing a whole lot of other peoples too.

I see there's a lot of love for Lukaku on here, and judging by the '% picked by stat', i'm really not convinced he will start though, and really can't see him starting both DGW matches.

Don't get me wrong I think he's a great player, but with him competing directly with Ba and Torres i'm not sure how much game time he will get.

Have you there been any suggestions / quotes from Jose that he is Chelsea's first choice striker, other than pre-season form?

That's the logic. Most are expecting 100+ mins so for 8m against that opposition, he's got odds in his favour of repaying the punt.

most people who are buying lukaku are looking at the short term prospects (the DGW) rather than the long term prospects. Torres might be rested from the friendly in Ecuador and Lukaku has been outperforming ba in the friendlies so he should start at least one of those games. If he gets 120 minutes from both games, that should be good enough considering that they're playing Hull and Villa.

Most will ditch him because of the blank in GW3 so unless Chelsea sign another striker, it's a good punt

With RMT aplenty, and all manner of advice being sought and given, it got me thinking of the best and worst advice i've ever offered or received.

For me, the worst advice I gave was not to get Ryan Taylor two seasons back. He was 4.5 and his price was about to rocket thanks to a run of goals, assists and CS.

The worst advice I took was to get Mauro Boselli. Enough said.

So what have your best and worst pieces of advice been?

Here is my take on the cheap DEF/ MID/ FWD options.

Matt Connolly- great defender and scored 5 goals last season. watch out for the corners.
Aron Gunnarson- scored 8 last season from midfield and Cardiff usually score from here.
Pete Whittingham- takes penalties and a beast at free kicks. 9 goals last season.
Anelka- cheap but not worth it. Clark loves to rotate his forwards irrespective of form. Lukaku for example last season.
Cabral- nailed on but will only get you 2 points. scored just 3 goals in 180 matches and picks up cards.
Wilkinson- looking good so far and a decent option for those looking for Stoke defense cover.

GLEN MURRAY- my personal favourite. scored 30 goals and 5 assists last season in 40 games. Watch out for him after he gets back from his injury.

      Think. What influences prices?

      1. The players past record
      2. The club they are at
      3. How nailed on they are

      Defoe 8.5
      Adebayor 8.0

      He will be 9.0

No past record but more nailed on
Not at as good a club as a Negredo, so will be a tad cheaper

          No.9.0.

Why did Rvp price go up this year after his score going down? He joined a bigger team.

Soldado is at spurs, negredo at city. Negredo will cost more.

Totally, exactly my thinking! If he goes bananas and scores all around him I can get him in sharpish - but even then unless he's outscoring another high end forward combined with a high end mid, he stays out in the cold - cos ditching them is what it'll take to get him in!

yup, although wouldn't it have to be RVP plus maybe a 4.5 midfielder/forward who would have to outscore the combined high end forward/midfielder scores? Most RVP owners will probably end up with 2 ultra-cheap rotatable players to be able to afford him.

Most probably. I actually tipped them for relegation last year.

"Laudrup has little managerial experience. Their defence will crumble without Rodgers. They'll have second season syndrome. No way can they reach last year's height's without Scott Sinclair."

Shelvey isnt a striker, and Moore doesnt count as he isnt good enough.

If Moore doesn't count because he isn't good enough than what about Gervinho? I am making the point that they have added players to increase the squad for European games and just because the will play EL doesn't mean their players will suffer from FPL perspective.

Because he's terrible. Pens is all he ever had and he can't even put them away.

OK, it's the Mirror, but this is the first story I've seen that makes sense of how Suarez and Liverpool can disagree about something in writing. In this story, it's not the written agreement they diagree about but an oral deal.

Anyone think Sturridge will outscore RVP for the first three games?

Maybe if he recovers from his injury, hasn't had any pre-season though, can't see him starting the first game.

Everyone pretty much already have him in their teams for the DGW.
