A fortnight ago, we rolled out a Preview Movie of the latest addition to our Members Area – the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) tables. Essentially, these track the frequency of certain key statistics that can help Fantasy managers identify a player’s form – whether it be a turn for the good or worse – over a Gameweek range or season. With this in mind, our first KPI focused members article looks at Robin Van Persie’s first season at United compared to his final year leading the line for Arsenal.

By tracking Van Persie’s frequency of key stats, Fantasy managers can begin to quantify and identify the exact areas of the Dutchman’s game that have altered since his move to Old Trafford last summer as they prepare potential investment for the season ahead.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Not sure I like all the news about Diego Costa to Liverpool. This could mean that we're willing to sell Suarez.

Find it hard to believe that Liverpool would be willing to sell him to Arsenal, unless they officially have given up considering themselves a top 4 contender.

Well if Real fail to get Bale then surely Suarez is their plan B. Other than Real I dont know if anyone have shown interest, so he may just stay at Liverpool.

I dont see Costa as a possible replacement for Suarez. He is a natural left winger, and would strengthen pools left attacking side and allow coutinho to play more central on a regular basis after they did not get Mkhitaryan

I hope so. His goals to games rate is not good enough for a central striker.

    The season to play 3-5-2?
I've always been a 3-4-3 fan because of the Flexibility it affords in terms of transfers moving through the season. I.e. if you're third striker is 5.5/6m fodder then you have to release cash through transferring elsewhere in order to upgrade - which means two transfers.

The number of appealing midfielders this season - coupled with uncertainty around almost every forward - though is making me reconsider this with a view to moving to a 3-5-2.

Almost every "premium*" forward I can think of has doubt surrounding them. *Premium in my view is a forward from a top seven club (MUN,MCI,CHE,ARS,TOT,LIV, EVE - subjective, I know) - the archetypical goalscoring machines from seasons gone by. RVP - very expensive at £14m. MCI forwards - rest and rotation (I 100% do not by that Dzeko is going to be their "main man". CHE - rest and rotation again. ARS - Giroud actually appears nailed on unless ARS sign another forward (but ultimately though, it's Giroud

3-4-3 for me. With the change in the way assists are awarded, there'll be fewer this year so goals, and therefore goalscorers will be more important.

Seriously considering starting out by rotating anelka and j rod. Can then swap down to a cheap 5th mif and upgrade one of those two after things settle down.

replying to a post just reminded me about something. in the 05/06 season henry was 14.5mil. i wrote him off as overpriced.

a few weeks later i really struggled when he went up to 14.6, ended up as seasons top scorer. and although i don't plan to have him in my team initially, i'm going to make sure i have the capacity to raise 14.5mil in case he has a stormer in the first 2 games.

Ronaldo is one of the best players to have ever played the game. At 28 he's in his prime. Bale has got a long way to go. I thought United might get him at 40m, a reasonable price, so how is he now worth 85m. Crazy.

I think many disagree with you here, I dont think there is a difference between the two and Bale is young, considering inflation 85 should be a decent price IMO. Ronaldo sold now would probably be about 60

You don't think there is a difference? Check the numbers. Bale hasn't scored 40+ goals in a season, isn't a Balon D'or winner, isn't a champions league winner, isn't a title winner, hasn't won anything.

Well said. The prices being talked about to buy Bale are frankly nuts. Bale has a fair way to go before he can be considered in the same breath as Ronaldo. Bale definitely has great talent but Ronaldo and Messi's abilities are still streets ahead of any other player.

so i've been wondering, there are many other Fantasy games for other leagues. take for instance La Liga, so the price of players like Soldado, is it necessary for him to be same priced as he was in those Fantasy league games ?

If Arsenal have a genuine shot at signing Suarez, and their sole competitor for his signature is Real who have him as their plan B, should they fail to land Bale, then surely that must be something Spurs are taking into account when dealing with Real. Sell your best player and your main opponent gets the player they want, or wait a season, keep the player, and watch your opponent lose out on another transfer target.

Lots of if's but's and maybe's I know, but Im just airing some thoughts.

Spurs will take the money.classic stockbroking ,bale will surely never be worth moreand it means a lot of options in the whole scheme of things, also bale I would say is reasonably fragile and so there is a chance of a long lay off, take the dough levy and move on.....

Question is I suppose, what is worth more, the money they get from selling Bale now or the money they get selling him next season + money earned from Brand Bale and the possible CL spot?

Well that is an interesting alternate scenario but again I find it hard to believe that Liverpool would sell to Spurs. Would be funny though 🙂

Am i mad to double up on Chelsea defence GW1?? I'm thinking Azpilicueta & either Cech or Ivanovic, plus Hazard in mid.
Much more predictable starts. God only konws who the Special Case will through out up front.

    Thoughts?

Cole looks the only one of the back 4 nailed on for booth DGW games. Even with him and Cech there's a , slight, chance they'd concede in one or booth games. Get Hazard and Lukaku.

Azpilicueta is unlikely to play against Hull because Spain are away in Ecuador in midweek. Cashley is more nailed on, if 0.5m more.

Well that's just a human error, but when it goes up to the 3rd umpire and he gets it wrong with all the technology available to him, that's unforgivable.

I also don't understand how England lose a review in a situation where the ball was hitting the stumps but because it was just about the outside of the stump. The DRS has major flaws.

    Just read the article.

This KPI feature is amazing! It will be very useful to identify who is over-/underperforming.

The article has also made me rethink Giroud! He could be a great pick this season if Arsenal don't manage to sign a striker.
