No real reason, except City might not want to put the game on when there's a CL night, in case people would rather watch the TV. Sky will also not like it, as they want City/Sunderland fans to watch TV, and UEFA won't like it for the same reason. But UEFA/Sky are powerless to stop it if City/Sunderland want to get it on, but they will try.
