John Terry is a doubt for Chelsea’s trip to Swansea. Arsene Wenger confirms Aaron Ramsey will start in the FA Cup. James Morrison has emerged as a fitness worry for West Brom. Tim Krul could return between the sticks for Newcastle. Aston Villa and Fulham receive injury boosts ahead of clashes with Crystal Palace and Norwich respectively, whilst Leon Osman is the only Everton doubt for the trip to Wearside, with Phil Jagielka missing out yet again:

Reports suggest that John Terry is a doubt for Chelsea’s trip to Swansea after picking up a foot problem. Fantasy managers waiting for news of Eden Hazard’s calf injury could be left none the wiser heading into the weekend deadline after Jose Mourinho appears to have cancelled his usual Friday lunchtime press conference.

Artur Boruc and Gaston Ramirez remain doubtful with the back and ankle problems that kept them out of last week’s game against Man City. Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed both will be assessed prior to tomorrow’s home encounter with Cardiff.

Ahead of the FA Cup clash with Wigan, Arsene Wenger has revealed that Aaron Ramsey is ready to feature from the start as he builds up his match fitness. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Kieran Gibbs and Tomas Rosicky are all doubts to face Wigan and, whilst Laurent Koscielny is definitely out of Saturday’s fixture, he could recover in time to face the Hammers in midweek. Meanwhile, Mesut Ozil could return from a hamstring injury in time for next week’s clash with Hull.

James Morrison is the Baggies’ only injury concern for the visit of Spurs with a muscle problem. Morrison will undergo a late fitness test, with Mel confirming that Chris Brunt will deputise in central midfield should Morrison not recover, in what is also expected to be an otherwise unchanged starting XI.

Newcastle could receive a boost ahead of the trip to the Britannia with Alan Pardew suggesting that Tim Krul “has a chance” of playing following injury. Loic Remy has resumed training but this weekend will come too soon for the Frenchman, confirms Pardew. Mathieu Debuchy is expected to return to training next week following a groin injury, according to reports.

Gabby Agbonlahor, Karim El Ahmadi and Fabian Delph have all been declared fit for the trip to Crystal Palace, having missed out last weekend through illness and injury respectively.

Fulham will welcome back Scott Parker to the squad for the crucial Canaries clash this weekend. Dan Burn and Giorgos Karagounis are also available for selection once more. Felix Magath, though, has ruled out both Kostas Mitroglou and Moussa Dembele, with the latter taking part in the Dallas Cup with Fulham’s youth squad.

Roberto Martinez has confirmed that Leon Osman remains the only new injury doubt for the trip to Sunderland with an eye injury, with the squad expected to be the same as it was against Arsenal. A behind-closed-doors friendly has been arranged for Phil Jagielka next week, to allow the central defender to build up his match fitness following a hamstring injury.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream as breaking news unfolds.

Does this count as official confirmation that Hazard will be out this weekend?

"Jose Mourinho will have to mix things up and cope without the talismanic Eden Hazard, who succumbed to a calf injury in the epic second leg comeback against Paris Saint-Germain."

But we haven't had confirmation it was anything more than cramp (which can be fully recovered with one session of physio). So it's uncertain as to whether he's actually injured.

But that was only Mou's comment right after the match when he'd not had a chance to chat to hazard or the physio's to confirm it was even an injury. That is quite an assumption LA.

Dzeko been flying. Score two against Man Utd. Taken off on 60 mins last game to preserve him.

Aguero played 73 mins football since December and been out for 2 months.

Dzeko starts. Aguero benched (unless Pellegrini goes with two up front).

I know, don't get me wrong I think he'll go with Dzeko as well but I'm just saying it wouldn't surprise me all that much if he goes with Aguero. You just seem more sure than most, but you're probably right anyway 🙂 tbh as someone getting Aguero I'd prefer him not starting vs Liverpool because he could get a monster score vs Sunderland

This is the best I'd hope for if I had Kun:

Aguero to get a start against Liverpool, no returns.
Aguero to get a second start vs Sunderland, gets a goal and assist in a 4-0 drubbing.

I'd still rather have my 3 City mids who are almost guaranteed returns.

I could easily own him if I wanted but I think dzeko is a better option and has proven his fitness. Aguero might be the better player but I struggle to see how everyone thinks he'll get loads of minutes when we all know he's an injury waiting to happen and will be managed carefully. Let's see who's right come Wed night anyway.

Just read Hazards scan was Wed night? How has no news leaked?
And do we all think that's part of the reason jose cancelled?

Which do you think is the better move?

    A) Hazard -> Silva, play Sturridge and have an extra FT for next week.
    B) Hazard + Sturridge -> Eriksen + Aguero

    Speroni
    Coleman Azpi Ward
    Yaya Silva Lallana AJ
    Suarez Aguero Lukaku

    Davis Kasami Burner Flanagan

Here's the beef, hang in there, opinions appreciated...

I lead my ML by a small 34 point margin, it is a two horse race and neither of us has made a transfer this week (we have one FT each).

    Our common factors are:
Speroni, Coleman, YYT, Silva, Hazard, Suarez, Sturridge

Our likely differences this week without transfers would be:
Me: Baines, Zabaleta, Ivanovic, Eriksen, Lukaku ( Bench - Boruc, Chester, Mutch, Hazard )
Him: Cahill, Chambers Lallana, Delph, Dzeko ( Bench - Adrian, Collins, Terry, Hazard )

I am considering -8 for Hazard, Zabaleta, Sturridge -> Lallana, Aguero/Dzeko, and a defender up to£7m - I'm thinking he will take hits too.

Q1 - Should it be Dzeko to match rival or Aguero as he is the better striker?
Q2 - Should I double up on CRY defence or bring in someone for the rest of the season with better CS prospects (suggestions welcome)?

    Boruc - Harper
    Azpi - Olsson - Williamson - Coleman - Shaw
    Haz - Yaya - Mata - Snod - Noone
    Studge - Suarez - Lukaku

Got 2FT and a bunch of injuries, 0.9 in the bank. Looking to make up a bit of ground on league leader so any suggestions welcome 🙂
