The Scoreboard presents the Fantasy Premier League information you need from the day’s matches all on one screen, including the current top five BPS (Bonus Point System) standings from each match (potential Bonus Point earners are in bold). Actual Bonus Points will be shown when added – all points are provisional until then.

Open ControlsIf Gerrard is/was a box to box player who, in the premiere league, was better than or as good as him at that job ???
Open ControlsAs a box to box midfielder I would say many have played who were great, but few who had it all, literally, pace, power, skill, passing ability, tackling ability, a great engine and a great tactical knowledge of the game. Gerrard had it all, and that's why, I would say, is and was the best box to box midfielder the Premier League has ever seen.
Open ControlsAlso the shooting ability, that's mainly what sets him apart.
Open Controlsapart from tackling ability scholes matches him. reading of the game/tactics he edges gerrard on. scholes is generally considered the greatest midfielder of his generation
Open Controlsscholes is generally considered the greatest midfielder of his generation, by utd fans
Open Controlshttp://therepublikofmancunia.com/quotes-about-paul-scholes/
by everyone. davids, zidane, iniesta, xavi, viera fabregas, henry, guardiola etcOpen ControlsHe was great, really great, but I think in the context Gerrard made those marauding runs forward were he was the focal point and played an active part up front, rather than just orchestrate things or make a late run into the box (he can do that too). As a midfielder alone it's debatable, but as a box to box mid I'd say Gerrard all day long.
Open Controls- Open Controls
Hmm.... according to pro-United commentators maybe!
Open Controls- Open Controls
Fellow professionals indulge in a bit of flattery, big deal. You could find similar things written about Nick Butt.
Open Controlsgo on then, show me.
Open ControlsWhy waste my time searching for meaningless platitudes on the internet? It doesn't prove anything, which is my point.
Open Controlsyour original point was only pro united commentators rate him. that has been obliterated. now you are saying commentators praise doesn't prove anything. lol
Open ControlsIf you want to point to a few meaningless platitudes to somehow validate that Scholes is the best of his generation, that's up to you. I take comments like that with a pinch of salt. I distinctly remember Pele calling Butt the best midfielder in the world during the World Cup. Does it mean anything? No. It's just flattering, probably in response to a leading question.
Open Controls
Alan Hanson: “He is one of the top three to five players to have ever played in the Premier League. His passing, movement and technique set examples to everyone, not just younger players.”
Open Controls
i have heard some amazing players say Scholes is the greatest mid or even player they played with/against.....Gerrard has more haters than Scholes
Open Controls
Well put licky
Open Controls
Viera maybe, Keane defensively great but not so much attacking wise
Open ControlsTrue. Gerrard edges Viera and Scholes as a complete player for me

Missing for several days. Please help.Open ControlsGoing for the title, yet so many empty seats tonight? Emptihad
Open ControlsThe Southampton game at the etihad was like a library.
Open ControlsLmfao LOVE it!
EmptihadOpen ControlsPart of the problem is that the Etihad was built for athletics.
Open ControlsLol'd @ emptihad
Open ControlsAgreed. Ridiculous. Gone the same way as Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge. No atmosphere at the majority of top clubs anymore. Big part of the reason That despite having more interest in the relegation battle, I hope Liverpool go onto win the title. Their fans are proper fans.

Open ControlsProbably better off with Lukaku than Bony this week. Bony not so good away. Just the first one mate
Open Controlsnoticed you haven't replied to the plethora of gushing quotes about scholes being the best midfielder people like davids, zidane, xavi etc. have ever played against?
Open Controlsmere lip service SG was better
Open Controlspraise from your contemporaries is the highest form of praise. guardiola knows his midfieders, when he says scholes was the best he wasn't saying it for fun.
Open Controlsproblem here is gerrard dominates scholes in player voted gongs.
look at these too, way more gerrards than scholes http://www.fourfourtwo.com/perfect-xi
(i have no opinion either way, just posting this)Open ControlsIt may just be personal preference as there's really little between them but I would go with Gerrard.
Open Controls
lol I just saw it. I'm sure many greats say the same thing about Gerrard, Viera etc. I never said he wasn't a great player.

SCOUT PICK CHALLENGES - GAMEWEEK 34 FINAL RESULTS
Another double gameweek, another week of joy, regret and tears... Hopefully, for some of you, this will be either added joy or a consolation. The gameweek rankings for the Scout Pick Challenge are...
1st - Chickenwithpeas (83pts)
2nd - Legendkiller (79pts)
3rd - Greenwindmill & LilMessiPran (70pts)
With Wilshere Knowledge agonisingly close with 69pts, Suarezista and Zan Keroski (AGAIN!) 2 points out.
Also, the FFS Scout Picks & Differentials ended up with a total of 77pts, so both Chickenwithpeas and Legendkiller have their bonus points in the bag.
This gives us a grand standing of:
1st - Chickenwithpeas & Lionel's Messy Boxers (6pts)
3rd - Suarezista & Djerbil - Feyenoord at my Helm (5pts)
Lionel's Messy Boxers' number 1 position for the past few weeks is finally being challenged, and it looks as though things will heat up in the final 4 weeks. Good luck as always, and night out...

Background
Back in GW8, when many of us were tempted to throw in the towel, I set up a league for all of those down on their luck and out of the top 1,000,000 players. The purpose of this was to reassure the masses that they were not alone and that you could compete in a league with players in the same luck as you with the view of watching your Overall rank slowly move up. The goal was that we were to get as many of us in the top 10k as possible by the end of GW38. Entry to this league was closed at the end of GW8.
GW34 update
26 gameweeks on, I am pleased to say that of the 61 entrants-
59 are now in the top 1,000,000
19 are now in the top 100,000 (including myself 😉 )
2 are now in the top 10,000
At the top of the table a huge shout out to our leader Elizabeth Genius who has climbed to an impressive overall rank of 2,982!
Lets hope more can break into the top 10k before the end of the season. Just goes to show it’s a marathon and not a sprint.Open ControlsI didnt enter your league but in GW8 i was ranked 1,592,653. As of this week I am ranked 66,116.
My luck changed when i started jumping on the bandwagon players early. E.g. Suarez returning from fitness, Walcott when he returned, Sturridge when he returned etc etc.Open ControlsAwesome stuff mate. I remember back then everyone was down and talking about throwing in the towel a little perseverance and we'll get there
Open ControlsYeh plenty (including myself), were hit hard with that GW5 when RVP and Walcott got injured just before their respective games. That was my captain and vc straight out. GW score 23, the week I had just used my wildcard!
Open Controls
Should have joined, went from 1,686,514 in GW8 to 3,195 now…..thought that was good but Elizabeth Genius has topped it. 🙂
Open ControlsI was over two millionth when I joined... Love this league has helped with the targets
Open ControlsWell done to all of you, I was ranked 1,065,840 GW8, now I am 54k
Open Controls
Finally some joy this season, and it's all thanks to Jason Puncheon.
Get Mutch in for a hit and bench Punch, or stick with him away to whm?Open ControlsWell that was fun...we'll have a recorded podcast version available tomorrow as usual and remember to join in again next week. 🙂
Open ControlsOff topic, but the missus and kids are at the in-laws this weekend and I'm having a lads weekend :D. I live down in Reading now while a few of my best mates are Bristol-way, so we make sure we meet up a couple of times a year. Format of the weekend is always:
Friday. Lads arrive, unload, beer, fantasy football banter, ps3 (FIFA, CoD), KFC, babestation.
Sat. Full English, Soccer AM, watch the early kick off, football down the park, pizzas, choons while getting ready to go out. Then taxi, bars, club, sugar lounge, narrowly avoid a fight, kebab, taxi, and make sure mates aren't calling and inviting over anyone they shouldn't be at 4am 😉
Sun. Full English, recall what went down last night, watch back to back PL matches and more FPL banter. Lads leave, I defumigate the house before the missus returns. Then 3 days to sober up and feel normal again...
Anyway, long story long... Thinking of getting a PS4 and FIFA 14 + CoD as a but of a surprise, but heard you can't link them up (only online), and there doesn't seem to be many local multi-player games. I will also need PSPlus membership to play multiplayer online.. is that right?!!
I'm not expecting graphics to be hugely better (say how it was going from PS2 to PS3), but split screen games should benefit, right? What games do you recommend (they like sports and FPS)?Open ControlsThat sounds like a perfect weekend!
I have no ideaOpen ControlsThanks for the input, nonetheless 🙂
Open Controls
Lol, it's not like we all sit w@nking off to it! But it works like an oil painting would adding a certain nice distraction to the room 🙂
Open Controls
Who makes the full English.........
Open ControlsNot sure about linking, ps4 is fine for me. Ghosts is epic on ps4
Open ControlsNice one, cheers. I'm sheeite at CoD but it's a staple part of the weekend.
Open Controls
Yeah you need PS+ to play online for the PS4. I've not played CoD, but pretty much everyone is going for Battlefield 4 over CoD: Ghosts.. Probably one to do your research on if you're going to pick between them. I went for Killzone as an FPS game, and got Assassin's Creed black Flag, and Tomb Raider. All are good.
Open ControlsYeah, looks awesome but I read somewhere that Battlefield 4 doesn't have local multi-player?! That's why I turned to CoD where I think we can hook up two to my router then play split screen on both meaning 4 of us can play at a time.
Open Controls- Open Controls

Hi guys I have a bit of a story for you, its a bit off subject and it's quite long so apologies for that but I figure those of you that read all of it will appreciate it and won't leave me the dreaded tl.dr post at the end of it.
I consider myself a lurker of epic proportions, I've been a member of this great site for 4 years and have probably posted on the site maybe 20/30 times in that time. The value that scout offers though is exceptional, the articles, the members area, scout picks, the ticker all provide an invaluable resource for all those as obsessed with fantasy footi as my rivals and I are. I've introduced all my main rivals to scout over the years basically because the depth of information available on the site improves the playing experience for us all and makes the weekly swing in mini-league fortunes that much more enjoyable.
My main mini league is I feel pretty competitive with 4 of us battling it out for honours year in year out. Indeed Luke, Ross and myself have ended up champion in the last 3 years with the title of 'forever the bridesmaid never the bride' going to John who has finished 2nd in each of the previous 3 years to outstanding final ranks for the victor.
This year John who himself has a long history of uber serial lurking on the site having started well slipped mid season and found himself lying down in 7th going into the January wildcard. With an under the radar Van Persie capt pick and some other great picks he rocketed up our league to find himself barley 20 pts behind the leader at the end of January. With a steady hand and hit free run John finally climbed his eager ass to top spot at the end of week 33 a full 70 pts ahead of me down in 4th.
On Tuesday morning, I was in bed as I work nights. My partner who works in the same department came home after leaving for work that morning came into the bedroom and as I came round she said 'John commited suicide yesterday'. John was a band 6 staff nurse in a hospital theatre and had worked there for 25 years, he was massively respected by his colleagues and very much a steadying hand in what can be a highly stressful work environment. We will all miss him terribly and I can hardly believe that I had to make my yaya > silva transfer this week without firstly ruling the roost on who was the best option to bring in for the stricken Ivorian. Thankfully all the guys challenging for final honours either deleted their team or agreed with me deleting them from our league so John could eventually win his long overdue title.
So having read all that I thank you for your time and the last thing to say is I have John's log in details (as that was how we rolled) helping each other out when we had 4 injuries a suspension and no playing keeper was the way we played and I'm glad I had the pleasure with him.
The question needs to be asked then......do I carry on making Johns transfers to maybe improve on his already credible rank or do I leave it out of respect for a much respected fpl manager, friend and great boss???
http://fantasy.premierleague.com/entry/9275/event-history/34/Open Controlsthis is really depressing...i don't understand why you care about his fpl team though, its pretty trivial compared to his death ðŸ™
Open ControlsIt is awful news and whilst I agree with fpl being trivial esp when compared to the suffering of his family I know how intense john played the game all year long he would have all his rival teams up on tabs, scout, tfpl, fiso members area etc so I felt it worthy of asking if the community felt it appropriate to carry on his sterling work this season
Open ControlsEveryone else in the league needs to "down tools", take multiple hits and ensure he wins your league with a country mile.
R.I.P.Open ControlsAll teams that matter have deleted their teams so he's champ no matter what.....thanxs christina
Open ControlsHow old was john?
Open Controls47 mate......he will be sorley missed
Open Controlsheartbreaking...hope you are dealing with it ok mate
Open ControlsThanx AR.....what can I say, it's been an awful week and he'll be missed by lots of people
Open Controls
What about entering a team in future in remembrance to him? A couple of his close friends could maybe get together each friday in the pub, have a couple of "toots",talk about the good old days and then put your minds together and select his team/transfers for that GW.
Open ControlsThat's an excellent idea Christina and that could work cheers laddo 🙂
Open Controlsso sorry to hear about your mate. As another 'honour' idea, What about making a team next season made up only of players called John ? He sounds like the kind of guy who would appreciate it. Thinking of ya
Open Controlsthanx mattlevet another suggestion to put to the guys
Open Controls
if it meant that much to him, then you should help him win the mini-league in honour of his memory
Open Controls
Sorry to hear about your friend. I think all of you guys should carry on doing the transfers together and try to improve his rank and every coming year do a team and league in his memory and manage it together. Cheers
Open Controlswow, sad story. sorry to hear.
I would just leave his team, especially if you've all deleted yours. Maybe just intervene if there are major injuries, etc. like you say you guys do for each other, otherwise just let it ride.Open ControlsThanx bean
Open Controls
Sorry for your loss MJ.. and I agree with Crystal Pulis
Open ControlsI have no advice, just my sincere condolences to you and your friends for the loss of your friend.
Open ControlsThanxs werkself much appreciated
Open Controls
Make sure he wins!
If every one else 'down tools' and/or takes multiple hits as per Chrissy's suggestion, then let it ride.
If not, then as per Mr Bean's suggestion, handle his team's transfers to ensure he wins.
RIPOpen ControlsThanx for your thoughts DGI
Open Controls
Sorry for your loss mate. ðŸ™
Open ControlsThanx RH appreciated
Open Controls
Very sorry for your loss MJ. We all know that FPL is only a game but by the sounds of things it may have been one of the few lights in a dark time for your friend over the last few months.
I'd agree with most here and make sure his team wins your league this year and then name the league in his honour going forward. With his winnings I'd buy a little trophy that can be given to the winner of "John's League" each year. Would be a nice reminder of him.
Again I'm really sorry for your loss mate.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.Open ControlsThanx icon....the trophy idea is a good one mate thanx for that! Already been discussed about the league being named along those lines.....and a trophy in his memory works very well, thank you very much

My team is currently
Boruc mannone

My concerns are
A. Yaya
B. Sturridge
C. Mirallas
Which is best
A. Yaya --> gerrard
B. Yaya --> mata
C. Yaya & Sturridge --> gerrard & aguero - 4 points
D. Yaya & Sturridge --> mata & aguero - 4 pts
E. Yaya & mirallas --> mata & gerrard - 4 points
F. Something elseOpen ControlsHey DeadZone, i have a question for you.
Write a cheat sheet to yourself for GW1 next season. What advice would you give yourself, having learned this season's lessons?
For example, here are my own:
- Don't take 2 hits for GW2; have more trust in your initial team (i.e. don't sell Hazard after 4 matches)
- Invest in defense; 2 big strikers plus a Crouch/JRod is fine, so buy JT/Baines, you won't regret it
- give much less thought to chasing team value around late January
- great fixtures mean absolutely nothing without formOpen ControlsI have the exact money to do Lallana ---> Mata AFTER this next GW.
Got to keep my fingers crossed Mata doesn't rise again before then.Open Controls*transfers in Mata* 😛
Open Controlsi'm exactly the same...but i'm afraid he is definitely going to rise before Sat.
Disappointing.Open ControlsYou never know.
I'll take a hit if necessary, because there are 1 or 2 other players in my squad that I wouldn't mind moving anyway.Open Controls
I'm the exact same, 1.0 itb and 8.2 selling value for Nasri..

How many games have been played by the top 7 teams
Man City 52games( will be 57games)
Arsenal 51 games( will be 56 games)
Chelsea 51 games( will be 57 or 58games)
Man Und 50 games( will be 55 games)
Spurs 50 games( willbe 54 games)
everton 40 games ( will be 44 games)
liverpool 39 games (will be 43 games)
So for 14 weeks which is just about 3 months and a week city have played every 3 days to liverpools every 7 days tell me how they deserve the title more than cityOpen Controlsdont get me wrong I want Liverpool to win it, but I am a bit tired of people over exaggerating how good they are any of the other top 3 teams would of already been 10 points clear if they had 14 less games, just my opinion
Open ControlsI don't understand your point. I think you miswrote your last line then..
Open Controls
City had a budget of 3482-4752-3452345723-4t4grjtgl 345l852345u234i52345u234i234p5324 billion.
Open ControlsThey play the more effective yet attractive kind of football. Plus some of their players are probably having the season of their lives. So that deserve it.
Open Controls*they
Open ControlsI believe that they are playing this attractive football at the end of the season because everyone else is tired, just look at city and how they played up to a month ago
Open Controls4-1 win against WBA, 4-0 against Fulham, 5-1 against Norwich, 4-1 against WHU, 5-0 against Spurs (the last 3 are on the trot), all games are played before the turn of the year.
Hey, I'm beginning to sound like a Kop 😛Open Controls
I don't think them playing more games than L'pool is an argument for them to deserve the title more.
Open Controlsjust as important is that they have had no major injuries......which is incredible in itself.....i know less games = less injuries but its still very lucky to have none of your big players pick up a serious injury all year
Open Controls
