After Sunday’s pair of fixtures delivered just a single goal between them, we’re hoping for a turnaround in Fantasy fortunes as Liverpool make their way to Selhurst Park this evening. Brendan Rodgers’ side desperately need to win in order to keep the pressure on City at the summit and can be expected to go on the offensive from the first whistle tonight:

Luis Suarez, Steven Gerrard and Daniel Sturridge all scored against the Eagles in the 3-1 win at Anfield back in Gameweek 7 and the trio will be hoping to repeat the feat – Sturridge starts alongside the Uruguayan this evening, with Philippe Coutinho dropping to the bench due to a slight injury, according to Brendan Rodgers.

The arrival of Tony Pulis has seen Palace stiffen up considerably. Prior to last week’s defeat against City, the London club had won five consecutive league matches, though whether they can keep the “SAS” in check tonight is another matter entirely.

Our Twitter feed carries all the news from tonight’s team sheets, while the Dugout Discussion chatroom remains open to collect your real-time reactions to this evening’s events.

i cant believe how open they were leaving themselves at the back, at 3-1 the GD was pretty much gone, at 3-2 they were still leaving themsleves with only two or three players in their own half. absolutely suicidal from liverpool.

    Found out.

Harsh way to go about it and a lot of credit to Palace for their performance but realistically Liverpool will probably have over 100 PL goals this season and still be trailing on GD. Defending simply is not good enough, whether that's individual, a sacrifice because of tactics or a mixture of the two it needs addressing.

With that said, Pool fans should still be very proud. There's been some great football this season and they have the CL next season.

I christened them Crumble Palace early on in the season but it just shows the impact of a manager. Hate to say it but Allardyce being retained by West Ham when they looked beyond hope was another masterstroke and look at what Bruce has done at Hull with mostly average players other than a couple of good buys. Poch at Saints, Rodgers at Pool. Martinez, Hughes etc.
Conversely, Moyes, numerous bods at Fulham, Cardiff, AVB etc etc

Get your manager right and give him time and empowerment.

Poor decision based on his ability but an interview with someone who knows him well gave an insight into how he just lost interest and wasn't as motivated as he used to be. If Poch leaves Saints I would take him in an instant.

All got a bit weird after the agent thing, leading to a continuing uncertainty about his future, from both parties. Brought in some good players, de Guzman, Michu, Bony (after he finally settled in) etc. and now it will be interesting to see if we can keep hold of them.

Pool have had a great season and I wanted them to win the PL for entertainment and United trolling. They've overachieved relative to expectations. But their defence is the longest running joke of the season and it's a gamble they took, that they could win with a crap defence. They weren't unlucky, the gamble just didn't pay off.

Overall still a great job by Rodgers to get them into the CL.
