We continue our series of articles for members focusing on the player Key Performance Indicators (KPI). This time around, we delve into the data to discover those forwards who favoured home comforts over 2013/14 and also assess the more consistent strikers who produced the same sort of attacking threat regardless of fixture.

For the unfamiliar, these Key Performers Indicator (KPI) tables are designed to use a series of key stats to allow our members to track form or change in player performance. By tracking the frequency of certain key statistics and comparing over two separate periods of time, we can ascertain each player’s form, whether it be an improvement or decrease in displays on the pitch. As mentioned in last summer’s introductory article, we’ve rolled out a preview movie which shows just how to get the best out of the KPI tables.

I'm amazed by the number of teams going without a Stoke defender.

I know there are no nailed-on 4.5 defenders, but expect City in GW3, they have a run of AVL/hul/LEI/qpr/NEW/sun/SWA/sou/WHU in the first 10 weeks. And also, they are Stoke City.

Just spend another 0.5, they are very well worth it.

Completely agree. Never rated Hughes as a manager until end 1/2 of last season when they combined the old style Pulis meanness in defence with actually passing the ball on the turf rather than launching it in the rough direction of Saturn. Huth may well come back and at 5.0 he's good value + Cameron was excellent for the US at the WC so he'll likely be ahead of Bardsley @ FB or poss even OOP.

Monitor him in the pre season games, most probably he will play as RW in the emirates cup. Both are good option imo.
If Sanchez shines, then go for B or else A.

Yeah, mostly defensive returns. You wouldn't expect much CS out of a defence of Clyne, Hooiveld, Fonte and Fox.:S

Well a few problems with that - Yoshida would definitely get the nod over Hooiveld. Fox hasn't been with Saints for a while - we released him thank god - so it wouldn't be him at LB. It would be Targett.

I love how we've raked in 100m but people are assuming we aren't going to spend any. Koeman has said there will be a new LB. This was before the Lovren thing so he will get replaced too.

RVP or Rooney? LVG going to make Robin the force hes been in the past or too injury prone to spend 12.5 on?

    Current Team:

    Foster - Myhill
Baines Shaw Rafael (5.5 starting Manc Def) - Wisdom Upson
Hazard Nasri Eriksen Barkley - Albrighton
    Rooney Dzeko Bojan

2.5 mil in the bank which is enough to upgrade Rooney to RVP, or could upgrade elsewhere.

    What do people think?
