Last season’s top two go head-to-head at the Etihad this evening as Gameweek 2 is brought to its conclusion. Both City and Liverpool go in search of a second successive win, allowing Fantasy managers the chance to assess our options in midfield and attack, with Raheem Sterling, David Silva, Sergio Aguero and Daniel Sturridge looking to get amongst the goals once again.

Aguero remains on the bench for City, however, as Manuel Pellegrini makes just one change from the side that defeated Newcastle last Sunday. The City boss hands Stevan Jovetic and Edin Dzeko the chance to lead the line again, then, whilst Pablo Zabaleta is drafted in at right-back, with Gael Clichy swapping over to the other flank as Aleksandar Kolarov drops out.

Brendan Rodgers makes a couple of alterations to the XI that started against Southampton last time around. New signing Alberto Moreno is handed a debut at left-back, with Glen Johnson shifting to the right of defence as Javier Manquillo drops out. Elsewhere, Joe Allen comes in for Lucas in the centre of the park.

Aguero would give a great captain option every time City at home

Funny how people swapped Matta for Sterling 😀
And don't give me this captain hindsight bs. This was pretty predictable.

If the same players scored points every week, FPL would be completely pointless

    Is it kneejerking to do:

    Rooney --> Aguero
Henderos --> Mehrez or other low value midfielder

    ?

Keep Rooney and Hendo, but bringing in Aguero isn't to kneejerky

Yes. Everyone has said Aguero is like glass.

Jovetic, however, I'm highly considering - for Rooney - giving me an extra £2M+

However, I'm glad I left Mata and Hazard - and not to knee jerk

With Jovetic Kolorov and Sterling, Wisdom first sub and a ten pound bet on 3-1 City, a Sterling consolation would be a perfect night

my original plan was to transfer sterling out this week and put nasri in for two weeks than transfer sterling back in

really wish I'd stuck to that and not been swayed by last week

Well this is one advantage for anyone who took Yaya at the start. Easiest track to get Aguero, only need to find 1m.

          Di Maria in Manchester
          Aguero back
United faulterig defensively and offensively (I have De Gea and Rooney)
Dzeko not in great form (possibly injured)
QPR looked poor as a cohesive unit (I have Caulker)
Bruce injured and Cork not anywhere near the Southampton starting XI

Enough of a reason to activate the WC?
