A number of midfielders are amongst this evening’s members piece, as we take a look the in-form options at Arsenal, Chelsea, West Ham and Tottenham. We also cast an eye over Diego Costa’s recent form, assess Sergio Aguero’s displays compared to recent campaigns and take time to assess QPR’s in-form frontman after another impressive showing in yesterday’s narrow defeat at the Bridge.

Bit of debate for the evening: If you could use a debit card to spend real money on extra FPL money, would you? What's the most you'd be willing to pay for an extra £0.1? Just wondering.

Would completely ruin the game, it'd make it a pay to win sort of thing.

Well, that's a fair reflection of the Premier League nowadays I guess..

The game is never that serious to spend actual cash. But that's just me.

Agree that it would ruin the game, but plenty would pay if reasonably priced.

To me it seems many in my ML gained 20 odd points on my even though none had Sanchez. They all had Chambers.

A defender that scores & keeps a CS(not to mention score an assist) in the same GW is massive to a rank.

Just look at Evs(64) and Trigg(58). "Decent" scores, even without Sanchez.

Was just looking through some options to possibly replace sterling with, and found some flair picks in Navas, and Fellaini. Anyone else looking at these guys for a short term (4 games pick) with their respective teams tasty fixtures?
Navas always looks quite involved far up the pitch, and against man city, Man U just kept bombing balls up to Fellaini all the time. They were always looking for him to bring it down. Anyone?

Navas didn't look that hot today, and Fellaini isn't a bad player, but don't see him being a good FPL points player.

While i don't have Oscar, think he is a good punt for Sterling. Only risk is that he may not always play, but you have the same risk with Navas, Fellaini, Nasri, ...

Oscar is a good shout as well. I already have hazard and costa tho, so that's why I was looking elsewhere. Always seems that once you put Oscar into your team tho he goes missing. Maybe it's different this year.
Navas didn't look great this morning, but he won't have shaw on top of him every week tho as well, and he still got 3 shots away. Same with Fellaini, he won't have kompany hiding in his back pocket all game prevented those close range headers

Stoke have a tough patch of upcoming fixtures. I think there's value to be had elsewhere in DEF. Add the fact that Cameron isn't a certain starter... risky pick IMO

I think he is a certain starter. Was by far the best player on the pitch for stoke imo. Whelan is also injured for the next month or so, meaning he will slot in easily in that mid-field spot. Try telling me a better option at 4.5 or under. I already own Foster and Dummett

From the perspective of a double Stoke DEF owner (Begovic & Wilson), they've offered minimal returns so far this season. Cameron at the price appears to be value, but the lack of Stoke CS, mean he's no better value than a Burnley, Aston Villa, West Ham, QPR defender- all of whom have better upcoming fixtures than Stoke. Just an opinion though

Villa have conceded 2 + goals in the last 5 or so games. No west ham defender at 4.5 or under is nailed. And im not touching a QPR defender...

If you still have Costa and not Aguero .

    a) keep Costa
    b) switch Costa to Aguero
    c) accommodate both at the expense of weakening your other positions

Yeah, I had Haz all last year and caught the captain hattrick against NewC too.

When Fab gets his 5th, Haz ownership could explode. Till then, Fab can do no wrong.

Fab to Haz could also be for fear that Haz may be out of reach if ownership picks up and a few price rises occur, especially with people stretched for funds with Sanchez now gaining a following.

I was contemplating it, but I am sort of liking the idea of going with a monster midfield right now. Hazard is so much less of a headache and with pens he should steadily tick over. Also so many wonderful cheap striker options right now. Who knows though, a lot will happen between now and then 😀 What are you thinking of doing? Going to bring him back in?

Same, I don't know who I could bring in for a hit for a max of 9.0 that is guaranteed a start this week.

          My options are:

          a) Ramsey - being eased back in after injury
          b) Walcott - being eased back in after injury
          c) Silva - injured
          d) Oscar - don't think I want Hazard, Oscar & Costa
          e) Nasri - being eased back in after injury
          f) Eriksen - Spurs look poor and I have Chadli

Yep exactly. This is the thing! All the players around him I don't really want and now the .5 drop it's even harder to get the player I want in (Sanchez)

I'm trying to find out when Sturridge is due back, after Chelsea, Liverpool have a nice 4 week run of games. If Sturridge is back for then, it would be worth sticking with Sterling ..I think.

The high ownership means dropping can happen very quickly

Will it slow up now he's back to his starting price?

Yes - It will now - because, as you say, he's back to his original price. He needs 140k NTO for his next drop. It'll still happen with the rate of sales he's getting - but he won't get there as quickly.

Sorry I don't know. His ownership is still high though (44%), so there are still lots of people who could transfer him out.

Combination of Liverpool being awful at the moment combined a number of form players catching people's eye

hopefully he gets a more advanced, central role against weaker oppposition. Fellaini is restricting his favoured position

I took my third -4 of the season yesterday, WC still intact. Won't use it unless it's a must

Looking at my team is causing me a headache , Bego Clyne Bertrand Tadic Berahino Welbeck have all done a decent service but need to go soon , I am already considering a 8 or 12 hit after the break to set up my team nicely

Looks like it's Downing vs a defender capable of getting assist then

wow. So pretty much comes down to siggy vs downing. That's brilliant. You two are probably representing half the community each.
