This week’s ScoutCast is a throwback – a return to the days when Granville moaned about his team of red flags and names like Robin van Persie and Yaya Toure dominated our thinking.

Granville and I slip into such subject matter like it’s a pair of old slippers, whilst assessing the Aguero fall-out, the Dzeko option, Ivanovic versus “Dave” Azpi and how I’ve modelled my Fantasy Football management style on Roy Hodgson.

We roll out the regulars and lament the demise of the ScoutCast team – eliminated in the opening round of our own cup competition. Some things never change.

Swim in nostalgia via this link or roll back the years via the player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Mangala or MDM the more likely starter for City this week?

      MDM for me.

      Mangala, imo.

Demichellis won't be able to handle Vardy's pace.

Close...but because of the amount of games I'm sure Sagna is bound to get at least 1 game.

Will always be first choice and will continue to be rested occasionally.

2 FTs, Aguero and Austin to:

    (A) Rooney and Jovetic
    (B) Van Persie and Sakho

I would certainly not transfer Austin out right now. Has to be a better way to use that second free. I'd probably consider upgrading a defender and just playing an extra defender for this weekend than lose Austin.

I agree, get rid of Kun and keep Austin.

I'm fine with keeping Austin. Fifth mid Marney comes on. If not, can start Hutton and Wisdom together as they face against each other this weekend. Feel annoy I own Marney instead of Boyd.

        1. Walsh
          • 12 Years

I would rather start one of those midland defenders than Marney. Also might not be a bad way to spend Kun funds in upgrading Marney..something to consider possibly with the fixture pile up.

Wanting a City forwards definitely means he's up there to pick from but among the two (and Jovetic), I would love Jovetic after seeing what he's done this season and how he's been quite effective even in games he didn't score.

Don't fancy the way it would look, Davies. Had considered it...could get Ramsey in..but I really want to shift Kane out next week for Austin so I need some funds left over for that and I do not want Siggy in to double with Bony.

I actually like A right now, seems like the "can't go wrong". Wouldn't be fiddling with my team too much for YYT. Could be headache waiting to happen & feel Fab will keep delivering on a consistent basis for you.

You'll be finding a way to get Chambers out soon in any case. I feel getting him out might be a priority sooner or later with Debuchy & co coming in.

Right. Fab to Yaya done. Thanks for the input on previous page to all who chimed in! Can't say it feels bad owning Yaya again 🙂 Just like last year all over again.

🙁 I know so consistent...but honestly he's not the type of player I really enjoy owning..and am happy with just Hazard as a share in Chelsea attack.

I agree with Chris, I'm not a fan of ditching Fab (he'll be on my bench this week) but I fully understand the Yaya bit. Won't wish you luck with Yaya though as a non-owner I don't want him scoring big points! 😉

Knowing that Chambers is in pretty bad shape from this point on, would you do either or both of these moves?
Siggy > Ramsey (bench Kane this week) -4
Chambers > Clichy (bench Hutton this week) -4

Neither. If you could do Chambers > Zab that would be great.

Punt on Cresswell maybe? Or Jaanmat? I did Chambers > Cresswell this week

Who's been the most owned player ever? Was it Suarez? What percentage was he?

    1. Walsh

I think he got up to 65% last year. It's hard to say because of how high of a percentage of dead teams there are.

Couldn't agree more. Which is also why I am so pleased that the Aguero injury came at the time it did. Right when they have their best run of fixtures of the season to mix up the game a bit! Love it.

If you didn't captain him you would lose something like a half point for every one he scored. And he scored a lot.

          This is much better.

Agreed. RVP is a punt but I am not ready to restructure my whole team and this way I can get more information before I do anything radical like a 3-5-2.

    Thoughts on this:

    Guzan (heaton)

Bertrand - Naylor - chambers (duff - Moore)

    Fab - Siggy - sterling - Eriksen ( Boyd )

    Costa - welbeck - aguero

    Thinking:
    Aguero --> van persie
    Chambers --> Hutton

Then next week: sterling & welbeck --> Sanchez & cisse

Worth the risk in bringing in Silva/Dzeko for this GW, or better to just wait and see and let Boyd start?

Seems a pity to miss out on some plum fixtures (e.g. Eve v QPR, City v Lei), but seems like waiting is the smart call.
