I don't know, I think Wenger will say nothing so Tottenham will not know if he's available till the teamsheets.

I think I am going to drop and pay a heavy price for it. But I am worried he won't start for 2 or more GWs and he is too expensive to rot.

Why should you pay a heavy price? His situation has changed with Ozil and Walcott back and he's unlikely to be the points machine he was in the first half of the season with them absent.

He might start this weekend but it would also be no surprise to see him on the bench or even not in the squad. Predicting the time needed for a hamstring strain to recover is difficult, could be 1 week, could be 3 weeks. Return too soon and the chance of recurrence is high.

Its a big risk to sell imo. Fair enough if he's injured, but if he's back for Spurs then you're without arguably the best player in the game for some excellent fixtures.

The price you bought him at is a big factor also.

tbh, depending on the rest of your defense you may not have wanted to play Toby vs QPR anyways..as long as the rest of your backline is good all you did by getting him in now was save yourself a FT down the road

    Hazard Silva Eriksen Cazorla STERLING
    Aguero GIROUD Kane

I think I would be pretty satisfied with a defense of

    Panti - Krul
    Terry - Clichy - Alderweireld - Wisdom - Wollscheid

with Berty > Clichy being the move..

Pelle could view the match as must-win with Chelsea playing a battered Villa given they weren't able to make up ground at Stamford Bridge

so having slid about 100k in January and from a 20 point lead to an 80 point deficit in my ML I decided to asses where I've been going wrong. So, my resolutions from now to the end of the season

    1) Don't sell a value player just because you're chasing (Kane will be coming back DGW to be captain)
    2) Take sensible punts (Pelle may have had fixtures, but 0 form and Walcott had barely played) Giroud or Caz would have been obvious place to go
    3) Don't ignore obvious captaincy choices just to be different (ignored Austin v WBA and Sanchez v QPR
    4) If you think a hit is necessary then take it, but don't do it for the heck of it (unless you're Wakey and it's one of your rules of playing FPL)
    5) Remember that FPL is supposed to be fun, whatever the outcome may be

also I'm still happy I got Wally in, just wishing I capped Caz instead..but at least he didn't blank!

he starts vs Spurs as far as I'm concerned

You've got 3 weeks to find out how likely that is, not too risky. In my opinion you shouldn't be relying on him as a 3rd defender, instead using as a good rotation option.

    RMWCT:

    Panti

    Terry PVA Bellerin Naughton Haidara

Sanchez Hazard Di Maria Oscar Silva (changing to Walcott after City-Burnley)

    Kane Aguero Austin

Have 5 good mids and 3 strikers - going to hold Austin until the blank, have a feeling he is going to re-emerge as a fantasy prospect again over next 3 and I have a lot of value tied up in him. Also with injuries and rotation more prevalent now its no harm to have a good sub, especially as there isn't many expensive must haves at the back. Anyone care to convince me otherwise?

Trying to make some $$ so I can upgrade Haidara to someone more reliable at the back. Pity Baird got dropped - have a sneaking suspicion he will be re-instated but too cowardly to put him in..

Any other budget defenders I should look at?

    1. NIGHTHIKER - I Kane, I Shaw…

I like Haidara - the fact Santon's going on loan to Inter Milan means he has a very good chance of keeping the LB berth.

yeah its just Dummett will come back and either take Haidara's spot at LB or Willamson's in centre..

Wisdom can't surely be in danger, can he? I didn't watch the Spurs game and while on here I am being told he was subbed off as they switched to 3-back to attack, supporters booed him off? this is the first time besides Liverpool that Wisdom didn't play 90

sounds like a lot of 'match day complaining' following a 3-0 rout to me, something along the lines of which dissipates after the initial shock and frustration have passed..

yeah the rest of my defense will be solid so it won't be the end of the world to sell him on..just annoying that things could potentially (I'm not convinced yet) change so abruptly..

my guess is just Baggies annoyed following a 3-0 rout and looking to blame someone
