After revealing that one of our members, Simon March, walked away with the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) crown, we’re also delighted to announce that Geoff Pryor has emerged triumphant in the Sky Sports Fantasy Football game.

Geoff’s team, “Right Doesn’t Know”, finished 30 points ahead of his nearest challenger and wins him a cool £30,000 for a season’s work. As evidenced by his performances in the Sun Dream Team game last season, when he finished fifth overall, Geoff clearly is something of an all-round Fantasy Football expert.

Fantasy Football Scout supplied three of the top five managers for the Sky game. Katie Burgin took fourth spot on 2440 points, whilst John Eaton finished in fifth on 2432 points. Katie and John earn £1,000 and £500 from Sky for their performances.

Thanks to their endeavours, we successfully defended our crown in the “League of Leagues”, which comes with a £2,500 prize – the top five managers in the FFScout league will receive £500 apiece as a reward.

Our FFS Contributors and Moderators league will be hoping to challenge for the title next year after finishing tenth this time out, with our resident Sky expert Disable and myself earning a place in the top 100 overall.

Look out for an interview with Geoff later in the week as he discusses his successful campaign.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

31/49 Championship games started. A 5th midfielder needs to play every week. He hasn't even had that good a season, but people talk about FPL-wise because he looks good as a tricky winger type.

Alright my friends, and enemies in case I have any - this is it for the season from me. Had a rather ordinary season but managed to hold on to a top 10k finish, which is nice enough, and win my mini league, which is always the main goal.

Enjoyed the articles and chat on here this season - in fact I think the community is growing stronger and more friendly which is impressive seeing as online communities tend to rot from within after a few years. As usual I'll take the summer off everything FPL-related, so I'll see you guys a bunch of weeks before the start of next season.

Good bye and thanks for all the fun.

Wirh the high cost of Haz, Kane and friends, next season should be more fun. Prefer it when budgets are tight. Nailed on defenders for 4-4.5m from the promoted teams will be in big demand. Morgan for example made a big contribution to Simon Marchs success. Wonder how much he'll cost next year?

He might if not burnt out. The main man at Spurs tends to prosper; Vdv, Bale, Eriksen, Kane. Whereas for example its harder to pick 1 from Ars where points are spread.

Hmmm. Norwich and Stoke would make for a nice GK rotation.

Should be fairly cheap too if Begovic leaves, especially considering that Stoke under Mark Hughes aren't the fortress they were under Tony Pulis

    1. HuttonDressedasLahm

But you'd play your Southampton every week though.

What about a Seat? A Leon if you need 5 door or an Ibiza if something smaller ok.

They are basically volkwagens without the badge and much cheaper. Can get some decent models if you want a bit more sporty as well.

                Leon.

At the moment I drive a clapped out Renault Clio 1.4 sport, mainly to and from work. Although its from a by gone age still beats most things, but really need to move on.

I drive a Ford Focus Sport when I need more space for family etc., share it with my dad who also has his own small van, but I tend to drive his Focus more than he does!

So I was thinking of just putting it in my name but as okay as it, the extra I would have to pay on insurance just because its a Sport's model isn't worth it if I brought it out right.

Yeah, insurance is a killer. Made the mistake of not driving for a while and losing my no claims. Now having to build it back up.

What age is the Clio? Always loved the old Clio Williams cars 🙂

Can you keep your dad on the insurance? Having someone older can reduce the cost? For a while my brother had an Impreza wrx and he added our mum as a driver. Dropped the cost by something silly like 30% because she was much older. Provided you put yourself as the main driver it's totally legit.

I think Brendan will only be sacked once there's a manager already lined up and the problem from my point of view is that their isn't that many alternatives. Rafa, Klopp and de Boer, the latter would be a big risk. Rafa will probably go to Madrid and I doubt Klopp would want to manage us... In that situation keeping Rodgers may be the right call... Either way I think it'll all be over in a few weeks.

I like Koeman but this feels like a sideways move, I'd rather stick with Rodgers for another season. Despite the absolutely sh!te season, he was almost a premier league winning manager (If it wasn't for a freak slip that can hardly be his fault)

Is Klopp really taking a sabbatical? Obviously he would never bother with the Liverpool job, I guess the Citeh position could open up this coming season or season after that.

Here's a curveball, what about Barcelona? Luis Enrique has done an amazing job, but maybe he should leave on a high.

Bild reporting it. Reliable believe. Supposed to be 6 months. Could be poised to join a club whose manager has spent the first few months of next season doing a terrible job.

    Arsenal’s Arturo Vidal Transfer Complete

Arsenal have already secured the signing of Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal, according to Argentine journalist Hernan Feler- who is reportedly the man who initially broke the news of Vidal’s Chilean compatriot Alexis Sanchez’ move to the Emirates last year.

    On Twitter, Feler said:

“After the Copa America in Chile, it will be made official the arrival of Arturo Vidal to Arsenal. Everything is closed. Alexis [Sanchez] will partner him.”

How any of these expensive players will we be able to afford to have in our team's next season?:

    Terry
    Ivanovic
    Sanchez
    Aguero
    Hazard
    Silva
    Costa

Clearly, the price structure will make it virtually impossible to have any 5 of them next season so players will be forced to choose which ones to have and which ones to forego.

If you could only afford 3 of them next season which 3 would you take?

Nowt worse than not getting a big hitter, watching his price go up and then having to take hits to get him in when he's a million more than when you could have first got him in.

I think it depends on whether Haz has been taken off pens. If he has then it's Sanchez for me, he offers more from open play and has the odd free kick.

with pens I'd go for Hazard

        This, Giggsy.

Aguero may well come in at £13m too.

        Very realistic breakdown there.

Silva over Sanchez. Outplayed him the second half once Arsenal got healthy. Sanchez has too much competition. Silva will cost less, but more effective IMO next year.

Silva, Aguero, Costa (if on pens)

I bet it'll come down to the early schedule for most.
And, if we have a DGW to start the year again?
