We delve into the Gameweek 3 data this evening in our first members article of the week. Up front, we assess Bournemouth, Chelsea and Liverpool’s lone forwards, whilst there’s plenty to analyse in the centre of the park, as we take a look at some standout statistics from Villa, Palace, United, West Ham and Norwich.
Erm, so the kneejerk of the week right here. This is what I'm thinking.
Kane -> Wilson
Mane -> Pedro
Huth -> Kolarov

I've missed a few price rises already due to midweek games and Mane's injury status etc. I will end up with a rotation headache but thats part of FPL and I don't mind having a strong bench when there are iffy starters like Kolarov and Gomez in my lineup.
What sort of rotation headache will you have?
I don't see anything wrong with that move. But I would keep Mane for one more GW if he is fit.Just a fan of Pedro and getting on the Chelsea wagon with Crystal Palace coming up. Southampton played 5 defenders in the last game and are struggling to score.
I'll be benching Ibe every week and I still have Sakho, but I'll have a strong D
Hold fire until you get more information on Mane. He's another one like Depay that is due for an imminent explosion of points imo
Except his stats aren't great unlike Depay.
To be fair though, he's had chances. He could very easily have had 3 goals in his first 2 games and his ownership would be through the roof right now. Watford doesn't count as he got injured early. He keeps getting into those positions that he did against Newcastle and Everton and he will score goals.
You are right actually. Maybe I should be patient with him if he's fit. I can still do the other two moves and give myself another week to assess Pedro
I'm scouting Pedro for another week as well. Refuse to give up on Hazard before a game like Palace at home. If Pedro outscores him again though, I may have no choice but to pull the trigger.
See I'd hate if if I miss out on his points but then again I'd be saving 4pts by not taking the hit. Could be worth while especially if Mane does well.
Ryan, thoughts on Coutinho?
I like what I've seen although Liverpool are struggling a little to convert chances. Would mean losing Depay though probably which I'd rather not just yet...
I'll hold the FT this week definitely, anyway.I'd hold for this week. I feel as if Depay is on the cusp of being a great FPL option, just waiting to see the results. Coutinho looks good but it would seem a sideways transfer to me.

Long term it looks good though. Kolarov is gold as we know and will pay back the hit after a few weeks at the most. Pedro will provide points and Wilson is a handy make weight and offers value long term as a 3rd striker.
I don't necessarily think the 8pts will pay itself off this week but over the next 3 or 4 it surely will? Spurs and Southampton have really struggled for goals so far and are in europa.

Would mean Ayew or Ritchie getting the boot depending on which defender & which mid.I'd be inclined to stick it out with those two mids for now. I still think the City midfield isn't so easy to predict, Silva will be great of course but I still think there is value in Sterling and Yaya. You could probably monitor for a week and Watford are setting themselves up to be defensively solid. I would get Kolarov though.

I would save the FT. See pelle & ritchie do see week and upgrade one or both next game week, or if Kos is out longer term then upgrade your defence

I hate watching him too! You could do more with your team but I'm sure you have your wildcard intact so it's best you don't take any hits. I think Coates>Kolarov is a simple move but all you need.

The ticker looks promising for your attack, so no real work required. Invest in the defence IMO e.g. Cedric/Coates --> Sagna/Kolarov/Kompany.

I have Gradel who's 5.3 in Sky but I don't have Mahrez who's 6.0 and killing me. Should I just make the switch? Its annoying as Gradel just got 2 assists and looked up to speed last game, he also has great fixtures but Mahrez.....

Mahrez's form isn't sustainable. Bournmouth's fixtures look mint. Keep Gradel I reckon.

What do you think about having a benching dilemma of Wilson/Deeney/Mahrez/Shelvey? This might be the direction I'm going to with my team. Other 4 attackers are unbenchable.
I never understand what the issue is with having a bench problem.
Wilson was a great example at the weekend for those who played 3-5-2...Many benched him and lost his pts...but then so did everybody who didn't have him at all and had Wanyama on the bench.
A few got lucky and got his pts off the bemch...which shows the other side of a full squad...you might be glad of them...meanwhile we who never had him at all had no chance of his pts at all.
Sometimes it's best to just go with the truth and move on. Stats are history
