Dele Alli is back in training but will be assessed ahead of Spurs’ clash with Watford. Andy Carroll could be back for West Ham, Palace are hit with long-term injuries to a couple of key midfielders, whilst West Brom’s Jonny Evans is ruled out for a fortnight with hamstring problems.

Dele Alli will be assessed tomorrow after being withdrawn early on due to dizziness in the midweek win over Norwich. Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed the midfielder is back in full training, saying “all the signals are good” ahead of the home encounter against Watford. Ryan Mason will also be assessed as he steps up his recovery from injury.

Andy Carroll returned to training on Monday and will be assessed ahead of West Ham’s trip to Southampton. New loan signing Emmanuel Emenike is also available after receiving his work permit, whilst Angelo Ogbonna will “hopefully” be fit, according to Slaven Bilic, after missing the midweek win over Villa due to illness. Sam Byram has been ruled out for a week after sustaining a small injury in training.

Tomas Rosicky could be out for up to three months after suffering an injury setback whilst on duty for the arsenal under 21 side. Danny Welbeck is set to step up his recovery with a run-out for the Gunners’ second-string later today.

Palace midfielders James McArthur (ankle ligaments) and Jason Puncheon (hamstring) are set for lengthy spells on the sidelines, with the former likely to miss the rest of the season. Joe Ledley remains out for two more weeks with a thigh injury, though Alan Pardew reckons Yohan Cabaye has a “very good” chance of returning from injury, whilst Dwight Gayle is available after returning to full training. Emmanuel Adebayor is “almost ready” to start and will have another cameo appearance, though Connor Wickham misses out through suspension.

Claudio Ranieri will make a late decision on the fitness of new signing Daniel Amartey ahead of Leicester’s trip to City tomorrow lunchtime.

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe reckons Josh King – who made an appearance off the bench in midweek – is now up to full fitness. Junior Stanislas remains a doubt, though, with the Cherries set to make a late decision on the winger’s fitness.

Jeremain Lens is a major doubt for Sunderland after being forced off with a groin problem in midweek. Yann M’Vila is expected to shrug off a foot problem to continue in the centre of the park, whilst Younes Kaboul is back in the squad after overcoming a hamstring injury.

Jonny Evans has been ruled out for a couple of weeks with the hamstring injury that forced him off against Swansea. James Morrison and Chris Brunt also remain on the sidelines for the Baggies, Tony Pulis has confirmed.

Ki Sung-Yueng has been ruled out of Swansea’s clash with Palace after being forced off with concussion in the 1-1 draw with West Brom. New manager Francesco Guidolin has revealed that Alberto Paloschi “could” be in line for a first start on the back of an impressive sub performance at the Hawthorns.

Seems a little strange that the rush to ditch Lukaku gained such momentum on here. The sensible veterans always tell you to wait for news/pressers but in this case they were all for getting him out. I don't know if it was the Vardy brace or Barkley penalties that skewed their thinking.

Think it was just coupled with 4 blanks in a row.

I'm personally hoping he can do the business against Stoke and West Brom but some of that is because I can't get Vardy in without a hit currently.

      1. RustyBz
        10 years, 9 months ago

Would you get Vardy in for free now? Even with next 2 fixtures?

      2. FPL Daniel
        10 years, 9 months ago

His stats really turned to worst too. Vardy is cheaper and better option.

Kun Kane Vardy looks like optimal

He was blanking before being taken off on Wednesday. And all the talk was of getting rid of him for GW27 anyway.

It was woeful before Wednesday night but there was no talk of getting rid until at least GW27

There was quite a bit of talk about getting rid if he blanked vs Newcastle - I think even on the last Scoutcast Jonty said it was "last chance saloon". Or maybe that was when we were discussing scout picks...either way - some people were considering getting rid.

Vardy then scored 2 against Liverpool and suddenly GW27 made sense (for me at least), but others fancy taking a punt before then.

          1. Pochecinno
            10 years, 9 months ago

Fair enough. I haven't watched this week's scoutcast. Vardy has 2 difficult fixtures while Lukaku has 2 really good ones. That and his injury wasn't so serious, I thought things would have been more cautious round here.

            1. Fitzy.
              10 years, 9 months ago

Vardy has proven he can score in difficult fixtures.

Sorry I meant the one before last nights. But now I think again I believe it was when scoutpicks were being discussed - Mark wanted Lukaku and Jonty didn't but ended up as a "last chance saloon" kind of thing.

There's plenty of cautious people I expect (I'm keeping him), but you tend to find those that make the moves tend to be a bit louder to try and convince themselves it's the right move and to get others to tag along 🙂

    6. Piggs Boson
      10 years, 9 months ago

Most veterans waited. Jonty and Mark as two examples.

      1. Pochecinno
        10 years, 9 months ago

Indeed. But Jonty didn't help the situation with a Hot Topic on Lukaku replacements. Anyone coming on here would have thought getting rid of Lukaku was essential

        1. Piggs Boson
          10 years, 9 months ago

The hot topics tend to focus on topics that are popular (or hot) at the time to help as many people as possible.

Thanks Eden but that wasn't really a personal jibe at Jonty. Just that it fuels the hype to get rid of him when a bit of caution would appear more sensible

            1. Eden Hazardous
              10 years, 9 months ago

    DOUBLE GAME WEEKS!?

Hi guys, first timer on here so be gentle...any idea when we'll find out what the double game weeks will be?
And are the current fixtures for game week 27 correct so I might need to get rid of a coupe. If Everton/city players or risk not fielding an 11?

Looks good, why are you going for Butland over Hennessey? I'm currently on Henn based on stokes defensive injuried?!

        10 years, 9 months ago

Don't think either will keep a CS so I'm going with Butland for save points.

Do you think Alli and Lukaku will make it to this GW? Should I play them both?

      Alli should, lukaku more unsure

      Both likely to start

    Would you start
    A) Williams
    B) Bellerin
    C) Moreno
I'm on Williams at the mo.

    Rest of my team is:
    Hennessey (Schmeichel)
Ivan - Alderweireld - Williams (Bellerin - Moreno)
Payet - Wijnaldum - Barkley - Mahrez (Ramsey)
    Aguero - Kane - Vardy

    Any flaws elsewhere?
Thanks and have a great weekend!

You sure? I really don't like Liverpools defensive record lately.

True, I fancy a change in their attacking returns though this week, also Williams lost me points last week by conceding in the last minute (there might be some bitterness in my choice).

Play Alli or Mahrez? Alli's illness makes me want to play Mahrez

Alli will start or doesn't play at all

      1. Mahesh_Kumar

Yeah. So should i double up with Kane against a decent Watford defence or spread the risk and play Mahrez?

Fair play to China, at least they're buying players at a good age rather than MLS.

RP. Did Kaku --> Vardy last night. Obviously carries risk but it's a nice move for negotiating the blanks and I prefer Vardys form and fixtures for the run in, plus the value swings.

Which of these do you prefer as my next move? 1Ft & £4.6ITB

    DDG / HENN
    Bellerin Sagna Waker Dawson Simpson
    Payet Alli Ozil Mahrez Stanislas
    Vardy Aguero Kane

A.) Stanislas --> Arnautovic ~ great for the blank GW27 & 30 and allows me to not have to play both Leicester assets of needed.

    B.) Ozil --> Sanchez

    C.) Save

    Thanks :).

    Walker
    Van Dijk
    Moreno
    Hoolahan

    Thanks!
