Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

As terribly as last night went for those of us who sold our Spurs contingent, the majority of people who kept Spurs players don't have many DGW players, so most have (hopefully) 10+ extra players to go before the end of this gameweek.

We can claw back points or even hopefully have a big showing from someone and take a tiny lead.

Holding 2 FTs in my pocket.
    Which transfer(s) should I do:

    A. DDG ➡ Lloris & save the other
    B. DDG & Lanzini ➡ Mannone & Alli
    C. Robles & Coutinho ➡ Lloris & Alli
    D. DDG & Coutinho ➡ Lloris & Alli

I kept Kane as Spurs coverage, but Alli > Milner is looking a real mistake now. Pick a trio to have for GW37:

    A) Alli / KDB / Defoe
    B) Milner / Alli / Costa

I was leading my ML by some margin, but my main rival was close. He blew his WC in January on nothing, even spent the next couple of weeks cleaning up the bad choices he made in the WC.

No matter, I thought. I'm a good player. I'm keeping my WC for GW33, just like all the other smart players. I joked with my other friend (who's also in the ML) - "he's gonna pay for using his WC so soon".

Then came GW33. Here we go, I thought. Time to outsmart my main rival. I spent so much time on my WC, reading a lot here on ffs. In the end, I went for

    DDG - Robles
    Bellerin - Gabriel - Sakho - Delaney - Simpson
    Sanchez - Coutinho - KDB - Payet - Lanzini
    Aguero - Lukaku - Martial

My GW33 went pretty well. Delaney and Robles made sure of that. Coutinho and Sakho didn't play, while KDB was subbed.

Then City progressed to the semis. Oh well. Then Liverpool did the same. Oh hell.

Last night, I was hoping Alli and Alderweireld would blank - or at least not score as much. Then Alli gets 15 points and Toby gets 6. In two weeks, my rival has gotten 43 points from two players. Who needs DGW-ers?

I went to bed last night feeling I'd tried to be too clever, and forgotten about the basics of FPL. This 34 DGW had been a grail, shining in the distance, for so long. I ended up getting rid of all the Tottenham players just to maximize on DGW-ers. And what happens? Sakho is rested, Coutinho is rested, Martial is rested, Lanzini doesn't start, Fosu-Mensah (transferred in before 34) doesn't start, Mitrovic doesn't start (but still gets 4 points).

My best hope for a good GW34 result is Sanchez getting a sizeable amount of points tomorrow. Right now it looks like I'll need three hits before GW35.

Anybody else feels like they've both outplayed themselves and been unlucky at the same time?

ye well no one could have seen the excessive pool rotation coming though. Also, defenders are never going to hurt one that much cos of low points ceiling and kane is so expensive even with his haul if you have mitrovic + 4 itb vs kane (lets forget the mitrovic bench debacle for a sec) it shouldnt be a problem. Its alli who is the one i regret not keeping , in hindsight expecting someone like lennon (comparable price) with an extra game vs the mid plauying upfront foir the best attacjking stats team in the league to keep par at least was overly optimistic.

This I kept Mahrez instead. which meant I had less money for the wildcard, could've done things like Firmino instead of Coutinho and Monreal instead of Gabriel (not that the second one mattered, but he has security of starts). Also it pains me that I didn't jump ship from Lukaku when he was doubtful. Then again I still couldn't have afforded a striaght swap back to Kane then. It all stems back to keeping Mahrez over Alli

God its strange logging in here and seeing the state of affairs...

Unbelieveable that guys in work who genuinely dont have much of a clue are having 90+ point gameweeks and I am here with 55 points and chasing a 20 - 30 point gap!!

Praying the midweek games provide some entertainment and hope to us...

Worst case have the KDB & Martial --> Alli & Kane (-4) transfer ready...

My main rival in my ML, who always runs me close (he beat me two years ago), is pretty good at picking a strong team and making sensible transfers, but is pretty laid back about it and just pops on Sat AM to make a change and that's him done for the week.

Moaning at me in the pub this week, "how come you can't play your BB at the same time as your WC!?" (he played his WC this week).

"It's stated in the rules Bob. That's why I played mine last week"
"Well I don't have time to go through all the rules"

    The definition of schoolboy??

In fact, he went on to admit, he hadn't realised there was a second WC this year until he saw I'd played mine. And THAT is why I didn't WC in GW32 😎

Both must be quite high. But LvG don't know what he's doing, wouldn't be surprised if I saw him put Rashford at RB

Selling Toby and Kane I have no regrets over. But I'm really struggling with why I got rid of Alli for Lanzini especially considering I was always going to have to take a hit to field 11 next week. Seems a very bad move.

With Lanzini and Martial having a dgw37 & assuming they start. Is it safe to do Darmian > Rose?

1 goal, 2 assists and 6 bps in last 9 & spurs seem to be on hot form.
