Saturday’s late-afternoon clash finds Arsenal playing host to Norwich City at the Emirates. The Gunners tasted just one victory in their previous quartet of fixtures, while the Canaries will strive to rebound from successive defeats.

Arsenal’s attack has recorded middling stats over their last four outings, ranking ninth for goals (six) and joint-12th for big chances (four). It’s also worth noting that the Gunners place ninth for goals scored in home fixtures (26). On a more positive note, Arsene Wenger’s troops have conceded the second-fewest goals (11) and third-fewest big chances (18) on home soil, underlining their strong clean-sheet potential.

Norwich failed to net in their last two league ties and have struggled to exert their attacking influence away from home this term, ranking joint-third-bottom for goals (13), joint-second-bottom for big chances (12) and third-bottom for shots on target (51). Equally, Arsenal will be buoyed in the knowledge that the Canaries place fourth for goals conceded (33) and joint-top for big chances conceded (40) in road encounters.

What a lot of Arsenal fans don't understand is that Arsenal are an elite club because of Wenger. He should be able to leave when he damn well pleases.*

A club of Arsenal's stature should not be in the top 2 on numerous occasions at Christmas and still end up in 4th

This has happened so many times, and it's really unacceptable. If any other team did that they would be slated

Apart from a few good years under George Graham, Arsenal have not been good for a long time. Arsene has done an amazing job with that club. Time to get Stojkovic in to replace him now though 🙂

        The Bus Driver’s Prayer

Our Driver, who art in Hendon -
        Harrow Road be thy aim.
        Thy Kingston come; thy Wimbledon,
In Erith as it is in Hendon.
Give us this day our Berkhampstead,
And forgive us our Westminster -
        As we forgive those who Westminster against us;
But, lead us not into Temple Station,
        And deliver us from Ealing.
For Thine is the Kingston, the Purley, and the Crawley!
        For Iver and Iver,
        Crouch End.

I can't agree with that. He's very active and "interested." Arsenal are not stringing all of their passes together, and Norwich are playing very tenaciously. I think Arsenal may fare well due to sheer talent, but for now, they seem a bit off.
