      Probably. Could work out to be 12 easy points minimum against those attacks.

      A little crazy I think yes. WHam don't keep many cleanies, so you are mostly relying on Cresswell attacking points. Why not just go for an attacker?

      I'm considering Firminho or Sturridge. But if both play a big part in the Villareal game then I might just go for Payet or Defoe

    Did Howard play ahead of Robles as a one off or is it a sign that they are going to try and get him to 400 EPL appearances?

            If that is the case I will have to make do with Darlow v Spurs at home. Maybe some save points in that game. Probably the least of my worries anyway. Clean sheets in GW38, I suspect, will be in short supply.

    1. thegaffer82
      • 14 Years

      Sounds like Robles is golden for the DGW. He might play the home game against Norwich, but his two games in the DGW are both away. So no suggestion he will play either of those.

      I'm keeping him for sure

      btw - I heard the 400 figure on tv (I think), but it doesn't appear that it must be referring to just EPL as he is around the 350-ish mark. Maybe it included other Cup games.

      But... it seems to be moot. Worries (mostly) averted.

          Thank you. I only saw the Everton appearances.

          Ah - so 398 total atm (Everton 353, Man Utd 45).

          So he needs 2 to get to the 400.

          If someone is being sentimental he could be pencilled in for GW38 (at home) and then maybe start (or sub on) in one of the GW37 games.

      Nobody can answer this question until we see the team Klopp puts out against Villareal.

      If Studge starts and plays most of the game then I would be worried he'll only start one of the DGW games

    ditching bellerin for gabriel on my wc has to be one the worst decisions in my fpl career. has cost me approx 10pts now.

    if i lose to my rival by a small margin, i will be blaming it on this brain lapse of a decision

      Relax... though I still did ok, but my wc32, tc33 troll and not having a TC for 37 would eventually cost me likely 50 points overall!!!

        Got a feeling that most peoples options for TC in GW37 are going to be a big dissapointment (Studge & Firminho will likely play one game, Payet not in great form)

        Hope I'm wrong though!

    Which transfer(s) will you *not do for the dgw?

    A) Kane -> Sturridge (-4)
    B) Aguero -> Lukaku /Carroll (-4)
    C) Deeney -> Defoe (-4)

    2. thegaffer82
      • 14 Years

      I would do C) and Kun > Studge

      So I wouldn't sell Kane for Lukaku or Caroll basically

  7. thegaffer82
    • 14 Years
    9 years, 11 months ago

    .................Robles
    ....Smalling - PVA - Simpson
    Payet - Lanzini - Cout - Firminho
    ....Kane - Kun - Defoe
    Bench: Darlow== Sanchez - Monreal - Gabriel
    1FT & 1.7 ITB

    With this current team, which moves look the best for GW37? Obviously I'll be waiting until after Pool have played against Villareal, but just want to know what other peoples initial thoughts are....

    A) Cout & Kun > Cesc & Studge(TC) -4pts
    B) Cout & Gabriel > Cresswell & Cesc -4pts
    C) Kun & Gabriel > Studge (TC) & Cresswell -4pts

    Leaning towards A) as I feel my DF is decent for next week with Simpson a good shout for keeping a SGWer in the side, and I like the idea of Studge as triple capt (providing he doesn't start v's Villareal)

      It's A for me too, you need a Chelsea mid cover... They could do well

  8. Beautiful Game

    9 years, 11 months ago

    I had wasted my TC on the troll on gw33, so have no chips left to play... So a little worried whether 2 of my ML chasing pack can overtake me...

    A) I'm leading by 70 points, he has Aguero(c)this week(i had Sanchez) and all out attack to play.
    B) I'm leading by 98 points and he has TC for 37.

    Do you think I am safe or there's an outside chance for a twist in the tale?

    (A) Gabriel to PvA
    (B) Kane to Sturridge
    (C) Both for -4.

    I'm aware it's too early but if I do (A) I have the exact amount now - so may have to act before tomorrow.

                * 5th

                Can't see them getting by ManCity or Arsenal

                More likely to rotate players so they're not too strained for the FA Cup final (which I realize is ridiculous basedo on timing... But it's filoshefee)

    Whats up with Lanzini? Whu scoring for fun(11 goals in kast 4) yet he's got no returns.

      He has been playing quite deep . From what I saw yesterday , West Ham were playing a 4-3-3 with Lanzini in the middle 3

        Lanzini, Payet & Cresswell were occupying, and interchanging, in the upper left third of the pitch and the centre third of the pitch, with Cresswell all but twice remaining on the left.

        As per usual.

    I'm browsing through league tables and every team seems to have Sanchez as captain this week. Anybody got the stats for top 5 (C) picks for this gw?

          Mahrez ll be on pens so maybe DDG can emulate him anyway

      Sorry. Reasonable call. Every Darlow owner was shocked that Newcastle's 3rd choice keeper saved a penalty.

    So I've overtaken the mini league administrator who was 90pts ahead ten days ago.
    Now to try and catch some of his other teams.

    Odds of Tottenham, Arsenal or ManCity not finishing in the top 4?

      Tottenham are almost certain. If United win vs Leicester today, then whoever loses in the City vs Arsenal match will go out, imo.

        Okay

        Arsenal will lose to ManCity and beat Arsenal for 70 points

        ManU must win all 4 to finish on 71

        If ManCity lose by some strange chance, they will beat Swansea in the last week. If ManCity beat Shampton today, that also puts them on 70.

        Hard to see for me unless Mancity have draws or worse at Shampton and home to Arsenal

      Play Robles. He should start away matches. Howard only starting at home as a send-off for 10 years of service.

      Hold off until Friday for your transfer. I think Kane to Sturridge, but depends on Thursday night match

    What happened with Mertesacker yesterday?

    Is he done now for the season?? Gabriel back?

          Aye, I'll keep him for GW38 now, and lose someone else for Cresswell. Maybe my Leicester double-up (although they do have Everton next week!)

        Hope so, after he trolled me yesterday with a cameo that I never thought would happen when I started him "just in case" 😡

          Yes - unlucky! I have been very lucky in that Mertesacker was brought back in the first place - thereby negating all those potential Gabriel cleanies, (I'd gone for Bell+Kos). Looks like good news for the Gabriel owners in GW38

      Actually Valencia played twice and is classified as a defender. Welcome to my team , Antonio!

    So I'm sitting nice and bonny at 81k, 4 left and darlow to come of the bench, 2 game weeks left, I'm wondering how far I can push it? I jumped nearly 20k ranks this week already.
    Top 20k finish realistic?
