The Euro 2016 group stages now come to their conclusion this evening as Group E treats us to two final matches before the knockout Round of 16 gets underway on Saturday.

Group E winners Italy already know their fate.

Having won their first couple of fixtures, The Azzurri will battle Spain for a place in the last eight after the defending champions threw away a one-goal lead against Croatia last night.

With five regulars just one caution shy of a ban, there’s no surprise that Antonio Conte has made numerous alterations to his XI for the clash against the Republic of Ireland.

Martin O’Neill’s men are hoping to upset the odds and register a shock win to seal a place in the next stage, though they are clearly up against it here – the Italians have racked up back-to-back shut-outs and allowed their opponents just six shots inside the box, whilst Ireland have managed a mere four attempts on target.

Belgium and Sweden square up in the other fixture.

Marc Wilmots’ men bounced back from their opening loss to Italy with a resounding 3-0 win over Ireland and need only a draw to seal second place. Such a scenario would see them face the winners of Group F, Hungary, in the next round.

Given that the Swedes have yet to register a single attempt on target, The Red Devils look strong favourites to clinch a spot in the knockouts and send Zlatan Ibrahimovic and co. home early.

First half of the knockouts bracket:

    Switzerland vs Poland
    Croatia vs Portugal

    Wales vs N. Ireland
    Hungary vs Belgium

    Second Half:
    Germany vs Slovakia
    Italy vs Spain

    France vs Ireland
    England vs Iceland

So it looks like Germany, Belgium, Bale and France are the teams to stock up on early doors

Lovely! Gained an extra 0.7m with Perisic, Sommer, Rami, Hector, Giaccherini and Payet.

I think Sommer is the only one I'll sub out, changing him and Patricio for Neuer and Hennessey (better clean sheet chances?!).

Some observations about the changes relating to player price:

All goalkeepers on 0 points stayed the same price
One goalkeeper (Sirigu) fell after scoring 2 points
All goalkeepers between 3-15 points stayed the same price
Both goalkeepers with 16+ points (Sommer, Neuer) rose by 0.1

Only one defender who scored 0 points (Bese) fell, the other 23 stayed the same price
All defenders between 1-5 points fell
No defender above 5 points fell
One defender on 16 points (Alba) didn't rise, the other 4 (Rami, Bonucci, McAuley, Dier) rose by 0.1
One defender on 17 points (Boateng) didn't rise
One defender on 19 points (Pique) rose by 0.1
One defender on 19 points (Schar) rose by 0.2

All midfielders on 0 points stayed the same price
All midfielders between 1-5 points dropped by 0.1
All midfielders between 6-15 points stayed the same price
All midfielders above 15 points rose
One midfielder on 19 points (Perisic) rose by 0.1
One midfielder on 19 points (Payet) rose by 0.2

2 strikers on 0 points (Insigne, Finnbogason) fell, the other 9 stayed the same
All strikers between 1-5 points fell by 0.1
No strikers rose in value, even the two with 18 points (Bale, Morata)

I think starting price must have come into the equation where players on equal points rose at different rates (Alba not rising from 7.0, Schar (5.5) rising more than Pique (6.5), Perisic (7.5) rising more than Payet (8.0))

Thanks for researching all this mate. Must have taken alot of time but it's good to see none of my players went down in price and a fair few went up in price look. Do you mind me asking if Schär it's worth keeping against Poland?

Remains a good pick in my view - great goal threat and ok clean sheet chance. I'm going without but I'm deliberately focussing on only a few teams so it's more of a tactical thing than anything.

Not really, they could quite easily get a work permit given how rich they are. Could be harder for the lower leagues to get European players from overseas though.

Dzsudzsak 2 goals, Gera one goal.
Alaba assist and 2 pts for penalty earned, Dragovic missed it. Schoph scored for Austria. Bodvarsson and Trausasson scored for Iceland.

My only hope for tomorrow is people vote with their head. I hope people don't vote Remain in fear of the scaremonging that the Bremain campaign have piled on, and I hope people don't both Exit because of some misplaced sense of British pride / belief that immigrants are destroying the UK. Most of all I hope people don't vote because it's what their friends/families are voting for.

One of the most important decisions in British history.

Stinks of divide and conquer either way imo

Vote "remain" and you're a left-wing suffering from Stockholm syndrome

Vote "exit" and you're a right-wing nationalist and xenophobe

              No real winning

True, fwiw I wouldn't mind seeing Ireland and UK both leaving and working together economically in some sort of trade agreement

The pound is doing well, and we were thriving under the Irish punt (fair enough it was the Celtic tiger era too). Makes sense for both islands to work together with all the resources we have

The problem is who do you believe is telling the fewest lies ?
It is disgusting that Cameron has thrown £7m of tax payers money promoting his views. This and other personal reasons have decided the issue for me.

Not certain we will, I'm pretty clued up on the economic benefits of both sides and its pretty clear an exit will cause our economy to fall - we may recover, but we may not.

very well observed. I actually met while in Ny a lovely black haired girl, green eyes, olive skin while she was working at lehman (pre-lehman collapse)...model-esque actually; her roomate was from macedonia, equally lovely.
