Sunday’s third and final fixture sees Hungary and Belgium do battle for the right to take on Wales in the Euro 2016 quarter-finals.

Having bounced back from an opening loss to Italy with wins over Republic of Ireland and Sweden, Belgium are regarded as favourites for the top half of the draw.

The Red Devils were placed fourth for shots on goal over the group stages, though found the net on just four occasions with big-hitters Kevin de Bruyne and Eden Hazard yet to open their accounts in the tournament.

Bernd Storck’s side will be no pushovers, though. Despite firing far less attempts than their opponents across the first three matches (35 to 56), Hungary registered just one attempt on target fewer, firing 16 to Belgium’s 17.

Joint-top scorers with Wales for the group stages, their three-goal salvo against Portugal last time out certainly suggests this evening’s match could be tighter than many expect.

            OPTA were still happy to give it as an assist, as per this place's members area and elsewhere.

              Counted as an assist in the Euros. OPTA means nothing to McDonalds.

                UEFA didn't count it as an assist, hence it wasn't given in McDonalds. I know OPTA aren't the supplier so they don't have sway on the game but they are the ubiquitous data provider and the differing interpretations of what is an assist show its not a clear cut thing.

            Yeah, but KDB set that up. AKA assist. These game rules should follow the rules of soccer. He passed it to Hazard and Hazard scored. That's an assist. End of story. The site sucks.

            No assist is ever a goal unless the receiving player does his job. KDB found Hazard in space with a clear run at goal and played a perfectly weighted pass.

            Had Hazard been the kind of player to take the ball forward a few strides and smash it into the net, an assist would have been awarded. Because he's the kind of player to beat a couple of opponents first it wasn't? Senseless and also wrong by the rules of the UEFA game.

      Why is it a surprise? This is not FPL. I believe the rules state that an assist is given for a direct pass leading to a goal not if the scorer dribbles past players. Hazard created his own gola by the rules of this game.

        I know, but is Kane really even a gamble? I do think he'll score, but that's only = to my current. Will he get 2? 3? Mayyybe. But depends what Iceland team shows up. I'm thinking Ramos and go for the 24 pointer. Risking 6 points to gain 6 points. Only behind by 9 points, being so close, maybe it's not worth it...yet...

    If England do well enough to remain in the tournament I think most of us will still have most of their squad still in the tournament.

    Wildcard holders are you going to use it and try to optimize your side for the quarters or hold off and hope some surprises happen in the quarters?

      Very bold statement but just don't disagree with you. I got burnt using my unlimited transfers in the group stages but I brought in Dier so gone all out captain (after Perišić and Müller failure). I have to now weigh up make some transfer or completely wold card. If I wild card I can't see a consistent English player to bring in other than Dier...

        Because Firmino and Coutinho are miles better and they play well together. Plus they have Lallana, Ibe, Milner and Origi who can play on the left. They desperately need two CBs, not Manè.

      He's a goalscoring attacking midfielder who can even provide some width with his pace. I really like him as a player and I think he'll do really well, quite young also.
