The first competitive game of the domestic season warrants our first Dugout Discussion.

There is just so much on show to interest Fantasy Football managers, as Claudio Ranieri’s Leicester City clash with Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United under the baking sun of Wembley.

The form of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan will inevitably come under the closest scrutiny – the latter begins on the bench but Ibrahimovic starts; his display will surely be crucial to his burgeoning ownership levels over the next 24-hours.

But it’s dangerous to ignore Leicester.

Both Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy are on Ranieri’s teamsheet as they bid to play their way into our day one thinking for the potentially profitable trip to Hull City. Again, their performances could change everything, forcing us back to the drawing board in a matter of hours.

It’s a fascinating scenario and a fitting taster to the season kick-off next weekend.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Thoughts please chaps

    Foster Jakupovic
    Shaw Walker FMori Friend Souare
    Hazard Firmino Lamela Redmond Fletcher
    Kun Ibra Wickham

Not 100% sold on Wickham but given thought it's a decent punt given the opening fixtures

    a) Evans or Pieters?

    b) Kouyate or Feghouli?

    c) Which 2 out of: Mandanda / Valdes / Foster (is Vales nailed on with Guzan?)

    Thanks 🙂

Thanks! Who would the second keeper be? Atm my first choice is mandanda, and have valdez over foster as he rotates a bit better but coming round to foster first choice and find someone he rotates with... Especially if I don't go with Evans!

    Foster/Jaku

    Stones-Shaw-Evans-Pieters-Friend

    Hazard-Eriksen-Tadic-Bolasie-Fletcher

    Aguero-Gray-Ibra

    How does it look lads?

Strong attack, unsure about Jaku despite being cheap don't trust Hull defence with so many injuries. Would be tempted by West Ham / Liverpool defender over stones at 5.0, just to see how long it takes for Koeman to stop a leaky everton defence. That said I've Baines....

Goalkeeper rotations have been really confusing me so tried to do some of my own analysis for first 19gws for what its worth:

    8.5m:
    - wba/hull: 17/19 fav games; 11 fav home games
    - cpl/hull: 16/19 fav games; 10 fav home games

    9m:
    - cpl/sland: 16/19 fav games; 11 fav home games
    - wba/sland: 16/19 fav games; 10 fav home games
    - whm/hull: 17/19 fav games; 11 fav home games
    - wba/burn: 16/19 fav games; 11 fav home games
    - wba/bourne: 17/19 fav games; 11 fav home games
    - cpl/bourne: 16/19 fav games; 9 fav home games

    9.5m:
    - wba/whm: 16/19 fav games; 12 fav home games

    Conclusions:
    - havnt considered swans, stoke as they have a cheaper def optiont
    - same could possibly be said for westham with byram/newbie cheaper
    - going the uber cheap wba/hull combo is alot better then i expected but the risk that hull might get a new gk
    - wba/burn is a popular here and to an extent rightly so but wba/bournemouth is surprisingly good option...guess not popular here due to lack of faith in bournemouth def? boruc not nailed on?
    - cpl/sland is also tempting but potential risk with mandanda not nailed on plus kone/pva better value then mannone (baps magnet)?
    - the expensive option of wba/whm has the benefit of an extra home game but doubt thats worth the additional 0.5/1m overlay

Please feel free to add if you think i have missed something. in terms of classification of fav, city/utd/ars/chel/spurs/liv/lei are considered unfavourable both home and away while i have also regarded saints/whm/everton is unfavourable away from home.

What is with Pep and his weird defense? He's forgetting he doesn't have Neuer in goal. Don't think he could carry out like this without any CBs in the league.
