The Gameweek rolls on with a showpiece fixture at the Emirates.

Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal host Liverpool in the tea-time encounter with a host of Fantasy talent on show.

On paper, this could be a tight and cagey affair but Arsenal’s injuries at the back may just prompt both sides to go on the offensive.

Certainly Jurgen Klopp has named an attacking line-up, spearheaded by Roberto Firmino and supported by new signing Sadio Mane and the guile of Philippe Coutinho and Adam Lallana.

That quartet with surely stretch the Gunners backline with Wenger forced to start with a pairing of Calum Chambers and new signing Rob Holding.

Wenger will look to Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott to provide a response at the other end, with Aaron Ramsey set to start in the number ten role in the absence of Mesut Ozil.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Half RMT / half my own (slightly above average 10 year veteran) opinions on a team which is probably very similar to many people on here:

    ---------------Foster--Jakupovic-----------------
    --Shaw---Van Dijk--Stones--Friend--Amat--
    --Hazard--Alli--Tadic--Deulofeu--Capoue--
    ------------Aguero--Vardy--Gray---------------
    0.5m ITB

    Fully happy with GKs obviously.
Very happy with defence, given that Amat and Stones played and will probably rise, no other real options emerged, and other well owned assets conceded.
Cap an obvious positive despite being benched.
    Aguero is Aguero.

So that leaves Tadic, Alli, Deu, Vardy and Gray, ignoring the unplayed Hazard.

Disappointing to not have gone with the strongly considered Redmond over Tadic, but all stats suggest that the latter could have had a haul on another day. Deu likewise, to a lesser extent.

That leaves Alli, Gray and Vardy.

In previous seasons I'd have definitely knee-jerked into Alli > Coutinho, Hazard > Martial if he underperforms tomorrow, or even took a hit to get Ibra in. But I'm trying to take a more considered approach this year, and may well just leave it. Vardy and Gray face potentially highly vulnerable defences next week, and however dissapointing Alli was, a home tie vs Palace could be another matter. That turned into a bit of a ramble of a first post. Thoughts?

With straight 2's across my defence I'm regretting benching Azpi now.

Spent hours planning my team, 44 points all out.
Made my dad a team in 2 minutes because he needed one for a work league.... 70 points with Payet still to play.

Remember a Dads for life, not just Christmas.

I too helped my Dad build a better team
I too scored 44pts all out.
I wish it had only taken me And Dad 2 minutes to build his.

I have 34 points. With it only being Week 1 and I require an answer. Whats more important:

    a) having a wildcard in the bank for later
    or
    b) 28 points (the cost to reorganise my team)

Just chill. There is absolutely no point in WC'ing after GW1. Certainly not any point having a 28 point hit. If you're need to, WC but don't take a 28 point hit.

    Need help.

Should I bench Valencia and play both Tadic and Redmond? Or should I still play him? Can't see ManU keep a CS to be honest, they still need time to tighten up in their defence.

Made my first team ever. 49 point and Oscar and Hazard to go. Is that acceptable?
    My team:
    Hennessey (Valdes) Shaw-Clichy-Van Dijk (Kingsley-Cahill)
    Haz-Oscar-Redmond-Routledge (Jedinak)
    Gray-Aguero-Zlatan

Think I'll change Van Dijk to Kingsley next week. Is that okay?

People shouldn't make more than one change this week, unless you don't have a full team starting. It's too early

    A) Vardy to Costa (Chelsea have great fixtures)
    B) Gray to Rondon (Everton next but then 4 out of 5 good fixtures)
    C) Wait a week longer

    Foster - Heaton
    Valencia - Baines - Stones - Amat - Friend
    Hazard - Firmino - Deulofeu - Tadic - Capoue
    Aguero - Vardy - Gray
