Dugout Discussion – Arsenal vs Liverpool

The Gameweek rolls on with a showpiece fixture at the Emirates.

Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal host Liverpool in the tea-time encounter with a host of Fantasy talent on show.

On paper, this could be a tight and cagey affair but Arsenal’s injuries at the back may just prompt both sides to go on the offensive.

Certainly Jurgen Klopp has named an attacking line-up, spearheaded by Roberto Firmino and supported by new signing Sadio Mane and the guile of Philippe Coutinho and Adam Lallana.

That quartet with surely stretch the Gunners backline with Wenger forced to start with a pairing of Calum Chambers and new signing Rob Holding.

Wenger will look to Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott to provide a response at the other end, with Aaron Ramsey set to start in the number ten role in the absence of Mesut Ozil.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

      I have said it already. When has a Jose lone striker let us down. Costa is a mug but still bagged goals for fun when on the pitch. Ibra is a goal machine who will be fed.

          I love Martial and think he is the next Henry for so many reasons I won't go into now, however he hasn't been great the last few matches, and today's returns were indeed very lucky rather than a result of his obvious talents.

          I actually think he has a little Euro hangover but will no doubt get to his best eventually.

          My point being that I'm not sure the excitement around his two assists today is entirely warranted just yet and reason enough to bring him straight in. I'll definitely consider him once I notice his form coming back, but for now it's a wait and see for me.

          I was much more excited by Ibra's all round performance to be honest, but no doubt the haters won't like me saying that, lol.

          Usually when 2 players are equal on 3 baps, there is no 2. It will be 1 for Rooney and none for Mata

            No, but I thought he looked good. Cut in a lot, had one volley which he mishit wind up an assist, but if he struck it cleaner may have been a goal. Also had a nice chance just on the edge of the box but his ankle was clipped as he wound up for the shot, so it was a fk for Ibra instead.
