Dugout Discussion – Arsenal vs Liverpool

The Gameweek rolls on with a showpiece fixture at the Emirates.

Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal host Liverpool in the tea-time encounter with a host of Fantasy talent on show.

On paper, this could be a tight and cagey affair but Arsenal’s injuries at the back may just prompt both sides to go on the offensive.

Certainly Jurgen Klopp has named an attacking line-up, spearheaded by Roberto Firmino and supported by new signing Sadio Mane and the guile of Philippe Coutinho and Adam Lallana.

That quartet with surely stretch the Gunners backline with Wenger forced to start with a pairing of Calum Chambers and new signing Rob Holding.

Wenger will look to Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott to provide a response at the other end, with Aaron Ramsey set to start in the number ten role in the absence of Mesut Ozil.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    I'm still planning on a WC after GW3. So taking hits now must be avoided. But I want to remove Vardy and Gray out my team for Costa and Carroll.

        I think the biggest mistake is taking a hit but it is tempting. I think I go for Gray Carroll.

      Martial looked mustard... Mahrez also looks like will get a fair few points... Mane/Coutinho/Firmino look like they'll all get goals this year... Theo looks good value at 7.5... Ozil will come back in soon... Maybe wait & see how Haz & Payet both do tmr? There are too many big hitting mids thisnyear, its giving me a headache 🙁

    Based on the 'X with blah, blah and blah to play' posts, not many on here seem to have invested in Azpi, or benched him. Could be a good differential tomorrow.

        A lot of kneejerking going on.

        It took a couple of ganes vefore Wilson stated to score.
        Bournemouth lost 1-0 to AV on opening day last year. Wiilson went on to score a hatruck agaist WH away.

        I think Gray could good and just needs a couple of games to settle.

          Actually thinking to save, Vardy and Gray at home to LIV and ARS after this afternoon look like captain options. Other option is VVD & Vardy > Williams & Ibra -4 but it feels unnecessary. I'm all for taking hits but I'm not feeling this one too much. What do you think?
