Dugout Discussion – Stoke vs Man City

Saturday treats us to seven more Gameweek 2 matches, with Stoke entertaining Man City in the early lunchtime kick-off.

Sergio Aguero will be hoping to continue the momentum that’s already harvested six goals in his first four outings under Pep Guardiola.

Having seen Zlatan Ibrahimovic score twice and rack up 13 points last night, though, the Argentine has plenty to do to vindicate his place at the top of this week’s captain poll.

City warmed up for this one with a 5-0 hammering of Steaua Bucharest on Tuesday evening, and their manager has been reluctant to make changes – Pep Guardiola makes just one alteration from that match in Romania, with Nolito replaced by Jesus Navas on the flank.

For the Potters, Shay Given once again deputises for the stricken Jack Butland, who remains sidelined with an ankle injury sustained in training prior to Gameweek 1.

Mark Hughes makes one enforced change for the hosts, with the injured Xherdan Shaqiri repalced by Joe Allen. Bojan is expected to switch to the right flank to allow Allen to tuck in behind Mame Biram Diouf.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Firmino (c) hatty while owning both Kun and Zlatan is the only way to make this better now!

I am an Ibra owner now but missed his 2 goals. Kung captain doing the business and hopefully he gets another. Hope are on Vardy/Carroll to make up for Ibras points and I have faith

Does anyone else wonder how Stoke maintain PL football year in year out? No offence to them but I remember watching Reading play teams in League 1 who hoofed the ball less than them.

Stoke try to play good football these days. Can't really do much vs City though.
