Saturday treats us to seven more Gameweek 2 matches, with Stoke entertaining Man City in the early lunchtime kick-off.

Sergio Aguero will be hoping to continue the momentum that’s already harvested six goals in his first four outings under Pep Guardiola.

Having seen Zlatan Ibrahimovic score twice and rack up 13 points last night, though, the Argentine has plenty to do to vindicate his place at the top of this week’s captain poll.

City warmed up for this one with a 5-0 hammering of Steaua Bucharest on Tuesday evening, and their manager has been reluctant to make changes – Pep Guardiola makes just one alteration from that match in Romania, with Nolito replaced by Jesus Navas on the flank.

For the Potters, Shay Given once again deputises for the stricken Jack Butland, who remains sidelined with an ankle injury sustained in training prior to Gameweek 1.

Mark Hughes makes one enforced change for the hosts, with the injured Xherdan Shaqiri repalced by Joe Allen. Bojan is expected to switch to the right flank to allow Allen to tuck in behind Mame Biram Diouf.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Man of the match is Mike Dean for assisting Aguero's 2 goals. Aguero was almost invisible for 82 minutes.

I don't think so Donald, it's a factor around CL games and maybe a consideration for the armband.

Aguero might play a few minutes less around CL games yes, but he's also a better goalscorer than Zlatan...

            * in your opinion, if you look at both players stats you will see that Ibra has scored more goals in his career to date than Aguero, granted Kun has time to catch up but that statement imho is in correct.

2nd game running I felt the scoreline flattered them. They start well and then faded away. Its like Pep is used to Bundesliga where if he is 2-0 up, the game ends 5 or 6 nil. Would be interesting to see them against the big boys.

Sorry I have to disagree. If that was Stoke playing well I'd hate to see when they play badly.

I think it was much more a case of tired legs from City in the second half, as they could have scored so many more even in that second half if not for some tired looking touches in the final third.

Stoke gave them the space to do as they pleased, and this could have easily been 6 or 7-1.

Guys any update on why Alli was dropped? Surely his position isn't at risk.
    Also surprised Bolasie isn't starting.

Poch has said he will start with his best eleven and since Janssen played well, and he can't drop Kane, he's going to drop Alli because he cant play on either wing like Eriksen or lamela and not a DM like wanyama or dirt

So yes, if Janssen scores tonight u should get rid of Alli or at least start worrying

Everton with a 3-5-2-ish line-up, I was suspicious Koeman was planning to do that, when he was in the market for 2 extra CBs.

I'm expecting Kone with "back injury" -> Everton.

Indeed. Would be a great FPL option too.
