After taking a look at the main goal threat from Fantasy Premier League defenders priced at 5.0 and under earlier in the week, we now turn our attentions to the centre of the park.

With the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Eden Hazard and Raheem Sterling high up on our shopping lists after bagging double-figure hauls in Gameweek 3, the need for value in midfield is vital.

This time around, then, we look at the leading contenders in the sub-8.0 bracket over the first three rounds of fixtures.

Had him all along and keeping on wildcard. Unbelievably good dead balls. Has everything in his game apart from pace

My WC team using it to bring Kun back in two GW's my TV was poor £99.5 mil so have had to make do with what I have £4.4 ITB (£4.0 is to keep for Aguero the other 0.4 is free to use) GTG?

    Foster
    Bailly Mashauku Williams
Hazard (C) Ozil Capoue Antonio Lanzini
    Ibra Lukaku

    Bench:Pickford,Amat,Diomande & Love

It's pointless having the 4.0 ITB, use it so you don't have to play Capoue or Diomande every week.

My WC squad looks like this

        Foster
        Bailly Morgan Mashauku
        Hazard(C) Ozil Lanzini Antonio
        Ibra Ineanacho Costa

        Bench: Pickford,Capoue,Amat & Love

Who do I upgrade Ineanacho & Lanzini to?

        A) Ineanacho & Lanzini > Defoe & Lamela
        B) Ineanacho & Lanzini > Defoe & Cazorla
        C) Ineanacho & Lanzini > Defoe & Walcott
        D) Ineanacho & Lanzini & Defoe & Willian

Gray seems like a transfer waiting to happen (I have him myself, but probably wouldn't buy him on a WC with a suspension hanging over his head).

    For the next two matches:

    A) Ozil (SOU, hull) + Benteke (mid, STO)

    or

    B) Sterling (mun, BOU) + Lukaku (sun, MID)

    Thanks!

      A) is a stronger option in my opinion, mostly because Lukaku is still out of form and not up to his fitness. Benteke not 100% fit either but everything goes through him and I therefore think he will deliver sooner than Lukaku.

Heaton/Foster dilemma coming up this GW. Equal options but leaning towards Heaton because it has a bigger upside ownership wise since WBA defence is much more popular.

Could see both getting cleanies, but Wilshere debut should have Bournemouth fired up. Burnley have an excellent defensive record at Turf Moor in 2016

True - and Bou has a special atmosphere at Vicarage Road. I think the fact that the arena is small and tight, with the supporters sitting/standing so close to the pitch, makes the atmosphere electric. I have no stats to back it up but I think Bou scores way more goals at home than away. I know at least that they concede a lot of goals at home.

i have Foster, plus a West Brom defender.

i am hoping for a Foster rise to 4.7, which would lead to a profit and a switch into Heaton (on WC).

Valdes also has terrible fixtures coming up. Heaton is a save machine with the odd PK save in his locker. Mixed fixtures for Burnley - but on home turf they have a good chance for shut outs!

You don't need a WC. Your a manager genius. Oh wait a sec, Holgate will soon loose his spot to Coleman, Love will likely be benched, Jaku is far from nailed because of Marshall signing for Hull, Negredo has been awfully lucky and has bad stats + fixtures.
