I'm not quite fully up to speed with this Sunderland keeper lark.
I assume that they've applied for special dispensation due to injuries and have been granted it as a back up keeper. Surely they wouldn't get special dispensation for a first choice keeper....that must surely be viewed that they fecked up when they had their chance in the transfer market...shouldn't it?

I don't think it matters how good the keeper is because that can always be debatable. I believe the amount of keepers atcthe club with first team experience but don't quote me on that
I think they did have Mika signed but it kind of went wrong at the other end so they appealed to FIFA and won? Not sure they could have got a loan etc on the grounds that they have 2 keepers anyway? They could have got a free-agent I think, or when one of the keepers is crocked get a loan.

Although you could argue that clubs risking things very late in the window with transfers are gambling on everything running smoothly...which it might not.
Yeah, especially with keepers and current injuries etc. It's a position that can quickly deteriorate so I guess that's why they allow some room re. loans.
