After taking a look at defenders priced 5.0 and under and midfielders costing no more than 8.0, our batch of members articles now focuses on the men up front.

With the Fantasy Premier League market in overdrive due to Sergio Aguero’s three-match ban, we cast an eye over the strikers worth considering in the sub 8.0 category.

Last minute decision, it's not a long term move.
    A) Benteke & Sanchez
    B) Costa & Ozil

Yeah, I'm not a fan either, but it's not really longterm and Chelsea have nice stats against Swansea.

2, but very close... I'd prefer Ozil, but leaving Redmond in gives you that edge of cover if it's something you're after.

      Both good .. but I prefer (1)

I think it comes down to Barkley or Redmond. Longterm I think Redmond could be a better pick, especially being cheaper and all, but the point of the game is to have the right players at the right time, so fixtures could be the decisive factor between the 2 and Barkley's are easier at the moment.

I have similar dilemma but Lamela instead of Barkley.
At the moment I'm on Ozil but am slightly concerned of not having sanchez with his explosiveness and captaincy option.

I'm very reluctant to take hits this season...it's something I wanted to try avoid as much as possible. However is it worth taking Kun out for a hit? If so to who? I'd also rather not take a -8 to get in Ozil right now.

    1. Tekkers
    2. Lukaku (Have bolasie & baines already)
    3. Vardy
    4. Costa (Have Haz)

    B) Tadic + Kun -> Sanchez + Lukaku

    For GW6 and onwards....

    a) Hazard - Sanchez - Firmino - Lanzini - Capoue
    Aguero - Defoe - Negredo

    b) Hazard - Ozil - 5m - Lanzini - Capoue
    Aguero - Defoe - Zlatan

One has a weak midfield, one has a weak forward line

    1. Salah’s Sonnet
      • 14 Years

      A. Only one of aguero or zlatan can be kept i feel, as it dismantles the entire midfield almost, it simply cant be done all season, mids will become too hard to ignore.

    Team A:

    Heaton
    Masuaku - Williams - Evans
    Sanchez - Hazard - Sterling - Mane - Antonio
    Ibra - Benteke

    Bench: Pickford, Kone, Amat, Diomande

    Team B:

    Heaton
    Walker - Williams - Evans
    Sanchez - Hazard - Sterling - (Snodgrass/Bolasie)
    Ibra - Costa - Benteke

    Bench: Pickford, Collins, Amat, Capoue

Thoughts as to why? Lamela has looked significantly better than Redmond (as have spurs over Ston) in the games I've seen.
Or are you basing it on Sanchez > Ozil??

        1. Prison Mike
          • 10 Years

Yeah mainly because I prefer Sanchez to Ozil but also there is talk of Lamela being rested this week and I think Redmond is great value for his price especially since he is being played OOP, just hope Ston pick up some form now

I can't afford Ozil without selling Lamela who I have 0.1m gained on:
    - is there a real chance Lamela doesn't start vs Stoke or is it just weak media speculation? (Spurs forums think he starts?)
    - is there a chance Ozil rises again before deadline if he rises tonight? (doubtful, surely)

    1. Netley Lucas

There is chance he doesn't start, especially with Sissoko as back-up. Oz is "99.9% right now... 36 more needed." (if you believe them)

Really boring question, but if you're in a wildcard would you get Pickford or keep Jakupovic?

Heaton gets so many save points, even when they concede more than 2 he seems to get 3 points at least. I can't warrant 1m more on a premium keeper who isn't going to beat his tally by much.

    1) 4.5 non WestBrom defender (leaning towards Souare)
    2) Antonio or Lamela (long term)

    1. BbBb
      • 11 Years
      9 years, 5 months ago

1- Collins if you can stretch to 4.6

2- Antonio for now, reassess when spurs starters are more certain

      1) Kone.
      2) Both have question marks. Antonio because Bilic loves to play him at RB, though Arbeloa coming in might end that, and Lamela because Sissokho might take his minutes. As a big Spurs fan though, Poch loves Lamela and he's still improving.

    A) Koscielny - Valencia - Collins - Amat - £4m
    or
    B) Stones - Valencia - Williams - Collins - Amat

Not sure - Marc Wilson if he can get in the team (which he hasn't) Love at Sunderland? There's no starters... Kingsley at Swansea I spose... They're bad picks, that's the problem.
