After Saturday treated us to eight matches and 29 goals, we have just a solitary fixture to focus our attentions on today.

West Ham welcome Southampton to the London Stadium as Slaven Bilic attempts to halt a run of three straight Premier League losses.

Both sides chalked up EFL Cup wins in midweek, yet while the Saints saw off Palace to rack up a third successive victory in all competitions, the Hammers had to rely on a last-minute free-kick from Dimitri Payet to see off Accrington Stanley.

With a pair of assists in each of the last two Gameweeks, the Frenchman has been in fine form since returning from injury.

Nonetheless, Payet has remained overlooked by many Fantasy managers due to the form of Michail Antonio, who has netted five times in four since being moved onto the flank.

With his defence in disarray, Bilic will be relying on that duo to get the better of a Saints side that have picked up a single point in their two road trips so far.

For the Saints, Nathan Redmond remains their most popular FPL asset despite a four-match barren streak, though Dusan Tadic is the form player heading into this one, having served up an assist in each of the last two Gameweeks.

Decided going to save FT and not rush getting Sanchez in.

Burnley do well against top 4 teams at home generally, and 2 FT in the international break would be a bonus. Here's to a huge hiding behind the couch weekend coming up!

I'd consider the same with non stud players, but not an in form Alexis on an in form Arsenal team against a promoted team, plus other easy fixtures. Alexis is a risk post international break, but you do risk missing out on another double digit performance. He is currently in essential status territory, IMO.

Sometimes you just have to admit you were wrong. Hanging onto Firmino because it will be his turn next is misguided imo, he is the FIFTH highest scoring midfielder at Liverpool! What's going to change apart from maybe Milner getting fewer pens?

It's hard to provide a decent argument for Firmino to be honest. I can only go on gut alone and what he has done in the past. 🙁

I think it is too early to admit taking firm is wrong. This is premature after a five goal game in which the in others featured (to my dismay, I assure you!). After gw8-10, if this trend continues, I'd give this conclusion to you, and will switch, if not sooner.

    2. Chris_White
      • 15 Years

As long as he plays up front, he'll keep lagging behind. Just creates space for Mané/Lallana/Cout. Look what happened against Leicester when Sturridge took his role.

I'm giving him a few more weeks because of other issues, but will eventually switch to one of the attacking mids as I see Klopp sticking to his current front four.

Idk, WR. I think are all going to rotate big production on pool in hard to predict ways. We are only six games in, and the number of big hauls per player still represents relatively small sampls. Playing the pool merry go round will be a tricky challenge and use of precious trades. I predict cout, mane, firmino, lallana, Milner and Sturridge will all have high fpl totals due to pools ability to score goals in bunches.

It's not worth a transfer taking him out for another Liverpool mid. We're 6 games in, Firmino could easily be the top points scorer after another 6 games

2 blanks in a row and Firminios price dropped, then he scored a brace and was the one to get.

2 blanks in a row and Coutinhos price dropped, scored a brace at the weekend and now he's the one to get again.

    So confused.

I think the real answer is to double up. Liverpool will score plenty of goals this season it seems. Every chance Mane, Lallana or Cout could be the one to miss out in their next 5-goal haul. I still think Firmino's price will prove great value over the course of the season
