As we approached the new season, hopes were high that Dimitri Payet could prove irresistible for our five-man midfields in 2016/17.

Restricted to just 26 minutes over the first three Gameweeks due to injury, Payet has been sold by a massive 589,000+ so far – only Eden Hazard and Riyad Mahrez have been subject to more sales in the centre of the park.

Since returning to the West Ham first XI in Gameweek 4, though, Payet has been quick to rediscover his Fantasy form.

Impressively, the Frenchman has played a part in all five of his side’s goals over that period. Payet provided two assists against both Watford and West Brom before serving up a stunning solo effort at home to Middlesbrough last time out.

With 30 points accrued in his four starts, then, this latest article for members casts an eye over Payet’s recent displays, assessing them against last season’s numbers before checking out the stats over the last four Gameweeks relative to other midfielders.

    My search for a 5.5 and below defender has ended.. Van Dijk comes in. Will bench him GW 9/10/12 for Pieters/Amat and enjoy owning him till January. The baps potential and goal threat is huge!

            yes.. cause his baps potential is huge when they get a CS/he scores and the 3 games in question are che, MCY, LIV so i'll play the odds and stomach any bench points he gets

                not really mate... the tougher the defense the tougher it is to score for attackers. so it's doubly tough for defenders!

            I'm taking a gamble on defense because most of the players in my ML have a bad defense. could hopefully make a 30+ point difference over the next 2-3 weeks without em even realising while they are stuck with evans/friend/stones etc

    I need to replace the poor fella Souaré. Have 0,3 ITB and was originally going with Adam Smith.

    But now I'm actually looking to Stoke, specifically Pieters or Cameron. Their fixtures are superb, they have a seemingly capable keeper, and probably an extra boost in morale after a point at Old Trafford, I'm thinking this is a perfect time for Sparky's crew to turn things around - especially at home.

    If my read is indeed correct, who would you choose of the two at 4.4 An OOP Cameron in CM or Pieters at LB, stats-wise I can't see any standout choice.

    Is anyone finding the members articles a bit inconclusive?
