As we approached the new season, hopes were high that Dimitri Payet could prove irresistible for our five-man midfields in 2016/17.

Restricted to just 26 minutes over the first three Gameweeks due to injury, Payet has been sold by a massive 589,000+ so far – only Eden Hazard and Riyad Mahrez have been subject to more sales in the centre of the park.

Since returning to the West Ham first XI in Gameweek 4, though, Payet has been quick to rediscover his Fantasy form.

Impressively, the Frenchman has played a part in all five of his side’s goals over that period. Payet provided two assists against both Watford and West Brom before serving up a stunning solo effort at home to Middlesbrough last time out.

With 30 points accrued in his four starts, then, this latest article for members casts an eye over Payet’s recent displays, assessing them against last season’s numbers before checking out the stats over the last four Gameweeks relative to other midfielders.

You've probably got him because of the potential pens so the fixture shouldn't matter.

What's the consensus on Walcott vs. Son?

50/50 call really. Both great form, Wally has better fixtures but more likely to get rotated (in theory).

      Personally I got Son.

Wally for me. I don't see rotation for him either he is fit and Wenger is using him quite a bit right now. Also goal threat plus fixtures what's not to like?

Have 2 free transfers and a bit of money to play with. I'm doing Valencia to Koscielny with 1 of them, what about the other one?

    A) Redmond --> Son
    B) Antonio --> Son
    C) Save

    Front 8 for reference are
    Sanchez - Antonio - Redmond - Snodgrass - Capoue
    Aguero - Costa - Benteke

That's what I'm thinking - on the one hand I want to strengthen the midfield and have the money to do so, on the other both Redmond and Antonio have good fixtures coming up.

So what, its this week that counts

I would just make one defensive transfer and save the other. Son might not even start at the weekend, and even of he does he os no guarantee to outscore Redmond

I hear that but with City Chelsea Liv and Everton in the next 6 I'd get it over with now.

Obviously it could hurt this week but I'd be making it next week, and without any form to speak of if it was me I'd just get it over with for a form and fixtures player

What would you do with 2 FT's 0.5 ITB

Your defence will struggle this week.

I'd be tempted to do Baines > Arsenal

      I can't decide on Antonio > Walcott/Son myself. I'll likely hold

I would have enough for either Monreal/Mustafi and with Cech already I think I'd rather downgrade either Baines/Valencia with 1 transfer and sit on the other. Possibly play AOA this coming week.

Hm that's a good point. AOA is a decent shout but I see 2pts from Capoue.

Holebas/Cameron/Pieters possibly in for anyone of McAuley/Baines/Valencia.

If Baines is healthy and playing this week against City I think I'll keep for the Burnley mathcup next.

Is anyone else monitoring Marcos Alonso closely? If Chelsea continue to play 3 at the back, Alonso looks set to hold a wing back position, and will get forward a lot, plus will be likely to benefit from a more solid defence for clean sheets as well. Underlying numbers from last gameweek (admittedly against Hull) were good.

Azpi is same price, but it looks like he might not get a wing back role after Moses impressed against Hull, especially as he looks like one of the more assured centre halves (more so than Ivanovic, Luiz or Cahill). That might limit his attacking potential

Arsenal to suffer from Swansea new manager boost?
Swansea already have a good record at Arsenal , having lost
only one of their last Five visits, and winning Three of them.

Add in Arsenal stars coming back from all corners of the globe and
the chances of a difficult match look to have increased further

I am slightly worried about the past form and the new manager boost card. They've conceded 5 goals to Swansea in the last 3 home games in the PL and scored just 3.

That said Arsenal are looking fantastic at the moment and I still think the Swansea outfit is pretty awful defensively. I calculate my own version of Expected Goals Conceded and Swansea are the 3rd worst at the moment.

              Mourinho v Klopp

              Games 5, Wins 1, Draw 2, Loss 3, Goals For 7, Goals Against 11

Mourinho's Real Madrid took on Jurgen Klopp's Dortmund four times in the Champions League in the 2012/13 season. The German came out on top, winning their group and then eliminating Madrid in the semi-finals thanks to a four-goal blitz from Robert Lewandowski at the Westfalenstadion.

The pair have met once since Klopp's arrival in the Premier League, and it ended in more disappointment for Mourinho as Liverpool beat Chelsea 3-1 at Stamford Bridge last October. (Source, Sky)

Firmino didn't even come on as a sub tonight, MNF in a big game that 'Pool will thrive in looks tasty. Along with doubts over Aguero' and Sanchez' minutes that makes him look solid Captain material.

United have a much better defense than Chelsea had last season. And Lewandowski is on another level than Firmino..not discrediting pools form. But I don't think it will turn out quite the way it seems.
If I were to make a guess it will end 2-0 or 2-1 for United.

Mustafi 0.9% vs 4.7% and most likely defender to get baps unless others get attacking returns

Hi. I have 2FTs and 0ITB. What to do?

              Pick, Jaku
              Koscielny, Baines, Lovren, Holebas, Amat
              Sanchez, Sterling, Firmino, Capoue, Snodgrass
              Kun, Lukaku, Deeney

              Maybe ditch Baines?

              1. Eze Really?

Baines and Jaku most concerning but can't do much with them. Lovren not someone that would tempt me

Very similar to mine, I asked the question above about Snodgrass + Lukaku or Deeney and Walcott, but you seem to have gone for the former combo

Premium vs Cheaper defenders in the same team..
Do you reckon that the following are worth the 0.5+ difference over their counterpart? or have they just been overpriced/the cheaper option is performing better than expected?
                A) Alderweireld vs Walker/Rose
                B) Bellerin vs Koscielny
                C) Clyne vs Lovren

or for the arsenal one: Bellerin over Kos is worth 0.3 but not worth 0.5 over Mustafi

GW10 onwards looks pretty tasty for SOT defense, must save free transfers for that!

Agreed. i'm considering getting Van Dijk in on WC now and benching him for Amat/Pieters for his tough fixtures in the short term ie 3 out of 5. gonna be an immense buy soon

He's attacking history is not so bad(about a goal + assist every 10 games) and he has looked pretty attacking so far.. so yes. plus he's bossing the bps so should be a good option
