The Dugout Discussion – Chelsea vs Leicester City

Gameweek 8 gets underway at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea entertain defending champions Leicester at lunchtime.

The Blues will be looking to Diego Costa to continue the form that’s served up a goal or assist in six of the first seven Gameweeks and helped him to the top of the FPL forward standings.

Costa remains just one booking shy of a single-match ban, though, with his owners hoping he can remain on the referee’s good side against the Foxes.

Antonio Conte makes just one alteration today, with Willian replaced by Pedro in the front three.

Claudio Ranieri’s men arrive on the back of three straight losses on the road.

Indeed, although they have conceded just once at the King Power, Leicester boast the Premier League’s worst defensive record on the road and have already conceded 10 times in three away outings.

With one eye on the Champions League, the Foxes boss has shifted Riyad Mahrez to the bench in one of three changes, with Islam Slimani and Danny Simpson also dropping out to be replaced by Ahmed Musa, Jeffrey Schlupp and Luis Hernandez.

Pretty annoying that Koeman said that Baines is back, yet still doesn't play him. Shoulda transferred out the git.

If he comes on he will probably have 30 mins . I remember I captained RVP one week and he came on and scored a brace . I think it was against Stoke .

I considered it for a hit, but decided it was too risky.

You were warned about Pep's rotational tendencies, even with his best players like Messi. This is not like previous seasons.

No, he's a cheap forward with lots of points. That's all they look at.

    Aguero:

Little injury in the int. break
    Played 90 mins on Wednesday
    Long flight
    Game on Sat
    Barca midweek

Don't think this was out of no where

Yeah but it would have taken a seriously brave person to transfer him out or bench him

    Woah.

Aguero no longer essential for Guardiola. Being their best player and playing every game may not be the same thing

I think this is overreacting to one rest . Especially since they are playing a crucial game against Barca in the Champions League

Glad I kept Antonio and didn't buy Son because of international break. Aguero on the bench is a bit of a bummer though but almost everyone has him so probably better for me as I don't have him captain.
