Gameweek 8 comes to its conclusion this evening as Liverpool welcome Man United to Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp’s in-form outfit seek a fifth successive win in the top-flight and could even climb to the summit if they register a victory by a margin of four or more goals.

That’s perhaps unlikely yet, having netted nine times in two matches in front of their own supporters, the Reds will be in buoyant mood tonight.

The likes of Roberto Firmino, Philippe Coutinho and Sadio Mane will be keenly monitored by Fantasy managers as the Merseysiders prepare for a superb upcoming run of fixtures.

For United, the form of Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the main point of concern around these parts.

The big Swede has a single goal in five appearances and has already earned more transfers out than any other forward in the Gameweek.

Another blank and the exodus will surely pick up pace, given that Jose Mourinho then takes his side to former club Chelsea next Sunday – the Blues have chalked up back-to-back shut-outs since the switch to 3-4-3.

With keeping De Gea and Valencia now for a few weeks now? Could get another 0-0 at Chelsea and fixtures get better

Aguero and Benteke playing their parts for my underwhelming 38 points this GW.

Ibrahimovic -> Costa is a no-brainer, right? Costa on 4 yellows though got me worried...

Costa also has bad fixtures, go for someone else.

    1. Pochecinno
      10 years, 21 days ago

Once we stop considering a game with Man United to be a 'big game' you'll stop being disappointed.

      1. The Enlightener
        10 years, 21 days ago

Lol. Perhaps so. I think the stat is 1 shot on goal for them. Not that Liverpool did much better with just 3.

  21. PaoloRabbiiiii

How the hell does Clyne get 3 bps? Valencia was much better

    1. Buck The Trent
      10 years, 21 days ago

Accurate passing, clearances, interceptions, blocks etc

    2. Pasqualinho
      10 years, 21 days ago

I think Bailly might pip Valencia to the 2 pts - My estimate Clyne 3, Bailly 2, Valencia 1 based on Valencia being disposessed twice.

Evening guys - how does this look for 2FTs:

    Antonio --> Lallana
    Rashford --> Bony

    Current squad:

    Heaton - Foster
    Bellerin - Walker - Holebas - Pieters - Amat
    Sanchez - Walcott - Firmino - Antonio - Fletcher
    Aguero - Austin - Rashford

    1. Transfer Window
      10 years, 21 days ago

I think they are well thought out transfers if you are considering good fixtures.

    Wildcard this team?

    Foster (Jaku)
    Koscielny Smith Baines (Amat Friend)
    Antonio Firmino Sanchez Sterling (Capoue)
    Aguero Rashford Benteke

    1FT, 0 ITB

    1. Transfer Window

Get rid of Antonio. Bring in either Tadic or Arnautovic. Also Allen for Capoue.

  26. BLANKET DEFENCE
    10 years, 21 days ago

I had two FTs before this gameweek and nothing to use them on. So I tried to be smart and used one to get VVD in for Clyne for this GW thinking he had an easier match before then reversing the transfer ahead of GW 9.

    1. Rhinos
      10 years, 21 days ago

Don't ever lose attacking defenders. Lesson learnt

      1. BLANKET DEFENCE

Hes back in this GW cos I've two FTs and he's probable staying put for the best part of the season

Clyne could easily top score for defenders this season

  28. Concrete

  29. kesh
    10 years, 21 days ago

How was Coutinho's performance tonight compared to Firmino? I have Coutinho and one of my rivals has Firmino. Is it worth switching?

    1. The Fantastic Mr Fox
      10 years, 21 days ago

Kinda equal. Couti had a shot brilliantly saved. Firmi had a chance which Valencia cut out equally well

  30. Dr Dream
    10 years, 21 days ago

    Funny old game.

Clyne and Valencia looked like my two weakest picks this week. A few missed pens later and they dug me out of a black hole of a week.
