Sunday treats us to just a couple of fixtures, with our attentions first turning to the Etihad as Man City entertain Southampton.

Benched for the last two matches, Sergio Aguero returns to Pep Guardiola’s starting XI as the hosts look for a first win in five.

Having scored in just one of his previous four Premier League appearances, the Argentine’s armband appeal, allied with Guardiola’s recent team sheets, is on the slide – only 14% of voters backed him in this week’s Captain Poll.

With the fixtures set to turn in their favour, Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling also have the chance to stake a place in our plans having averaged 7.0 and 5.9 points per match respectively.

Claude Puel’s side have conceded just once in their last four away fixtures in all competitions but are once again without first-choice full-backs Ryan Bertrand and Cedric Soares, who remain sidelined through injury.

Charlie Austin is the visitors’ chief threat. Having bagged four goals and an assist in the last four Gameweeks, the Saints frontman has been subject to a price hike in each of the previous three.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

What's the difference between sightings of big foot and sightings of Aguero in the penalty area? Sadly none at all at the moment.

It's sadly true. Pep looks like he's trying to turn him into a midfielder.

I do not believe Aguero is nailed for the next game AT ALL

    Horrible body language

Aguero -> Iheanacho the punt of the week

Seriously speaking, will give Aguero the benefit of the doubt for next GW, his stats were crazy good coming into this game, but yeah as far as I'm concerned no one is essential and everyone is expendable.

Aguero has been terrific in past seasons but it's a whole different scenario now. New manager with new tactical ideas, although I don't think I will ship this week the temptation is to take him out in the next couple if he blanks or underperforms again.

He is tracking back alot of the time and making tackles on the halfway line.

I love aguero but it may just be time to sell on. I am sure he will score goals but is he now the player the team is built around. I think the answer is no

Was rested for one due to fatigue, and then dropped for tactical reasons.

Before that, don't forget how he was banging them in for fun.

          Aguero against WBA!?!? 😀
Clearly no tactical thought put into that. West Brom will set up deep and there'll be little space in the box for Aguero. Presuming iheanacho is on the bench Aguero will be furthest and as i said he'll see little opportunity. Don't you know wba concede only a small amount of goals to strikers?!?!
          Look elsewhere mate.

Why is Zlatan a good captaincy option all of a sudden? He's blanked like 4 games in a row

Serious Hazard monitoring here. He essentially played as a striker vs Leicester

He has played that way since GW1

His position has definitely changed in the last couple GWs

Like Cameron myself, but both he and Pieters are decent picks.

It ought to be Dawson with Hull's fixtures, but I have no confidence in them. They can lose to anyone on this form.

Pieters/Cameron may be the best. Friend/Chambers are options. Even Nyom, given that Brom tend to fare better with tougher fixtures.

Or if you can pin down a su 4.4m starter for Watford/Swans, I wouldn't rule them out either.

Aguero for Costa is becoming increasingly tempting but I know better.

I've already used my 2 FT's. Little devil in my head is already telling me to do Kun to Ibra (C) -4. Will see how this game goes.

Anyone considering Aguero > Zlatan for next GW? At home to Burnley who basically don't bother away from home, and with an average of 5 shots per game surely he's due a goal?
