Sunday treats us to just a couple of fixtures, with our attentions first turning to the Etihad as Man City entertain Southampton.

Benched for the last two matches, Sergio Aguero returns to Pep Guardiola’s starting XI as the hosts look for a first win in five.

Having scored in just one of his previous four Premier League appearances, the Argentine’s armband appeal, allied with Guardiola’s recent team sheets, is on the slide – only 14% of voters backed him in this week’s Captain Poll.

With the fixtures set to turn in their favour, Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling also have the chance to stake a place in our plans having averaged 7.0 and 5.9 points per match respectively.

Claude Puel’s side have conceded just once in their last four away fixtures in all competitions but are once again without first-choice full-backs Ryan Bertrand and Cedric Soares, who remain sidelined through injury.

Charlie Austin is the visitors’ chief threat. Having bagged four goals and an assist in the last four Gameweeks, the Saints frontman has been subject to a price hike in each of the previous three.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

You transfer out Aguero and keep the money in the bank for a week to avoid the hit. Next week you get in a premium mid. That mid blanks, while Aguero scores and looks dangerous. Suddenly you look to downgrade a mid to fund him again, but now you feel priced into letting your new mid get at least a couple of games, so you transfer out someone else, this time for a hit. But your new mid keeps blanking.

That's EXACTLY what's going to happen

Want to see a city peno. If Aguero doesn't take it, we'll have some exodus.

Might be cynical, but I think the only thing Pep has given us is leverage in transfers...other than that we haven't been anything special since that winning run.
