After Everton defeated West Ham 2-0 at Goodison earlier, we now turn our attentions to St Mary’s as Southampton entertain Chelsea at 4pm.

Diego Costa and Eden Hazard boast the greatest threat as the Blues look to grab a fourth successive league win.

The Spain international – who remains one yellow away from a single-match ban – has netted four goals in as many road trips, whilst Hazard has notched in each of his last four starts for club and country.

Chelsea’s recent move to 3-4-3 has harvested three straight clean sheets in the top-flight, though their hosts have been similarly resilient in front of their own fans.

The Saints have conceded just one goal in their last five home matches in all competitions and have been breached on only eight occasions over the first nine Gameweeks.

With a trip to Hull next up on their agenda, Nathan Redmond and Charlie Austin have the chance to stake a claim for our consideration, as the latter looks to net for the third successive league outing.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

    2FTs + 1.8m ITB

1st transfer Son to Hazard or Coutinho?
    2nd a) Cech to Heaton
    b) Koscielny to Fuchs
    c) Antonio to Gundogan

or risk it and take a -8 hit to do
Son to Haz , Antonio to Cout , Defoe to Austin and Kosc to Bur/Sto def?

    Evening all,

Would welcome views if you have a moment...

    Heaton

    Kone, Pieters, Smith (Valencia, Amat)

    Sanchez, Walcott, Coutinho, Firmino (Capoue)

    Aguero, Costa, Austin

Already used 2 ft for Son and Deeney to Coutinho and Austin...

Would you do the unthinkable and play Kone or take a -4 for Fuchs. I'm thinking -4 now so I can sell Capoue for profit next week and then focus on getting Kone out for someone (anyone) after Hull fixture in 2 weeks. Will obviously wait on Walcott injury news before doing anything further.

I like your proposed trade. Cout feels important, and you can downgrade jags or get a Leicester defender, stones, or even Holebas.

You could also ditch Capoue for a bit if your profit is 0.3 or more. I did that last week. I don't think we will ever have enough ft to prioritize the Capoue cash in, and it can't wait until next WC. Of course, you may not care about reaping the money gain.

I think I am - I transferred Lukaku out last week in order to get a combo of Coutinho and Walcott in and don't think I'll get him back. I'd take a better look at Costa if he wasn't so close to suspension. Other than that, no other Strikers catching my attention - so Deeney with his pen duties doesn't seem like a priority at the moment!

  28. Mick J

    Advice, please?

    Heaton – Foster
    Valencia* – Clyne – Holebas – A. Smith – Evans
    Sánchez – Firmino – Walcott* – Allen – Capoue*
    Agüero – Costa – Benteke*

2 free transfers, £0.4 in the bank. Before Walcott’s drop tonight, I’m considering doing the following transfers.

    a) Walcott to Coutinho and
    b) Valencia to Stones (partly to afford the above).

Stones has decent clean sheet potential in gameweeks 11–13. From gameweek 14 I can change him to Cédric when Southampton’s fixtures gets better. I would’ve considered Fuchs instead of Stones but I’m £0.1 short. And I’d rather have Stones than the remaining Leicester defenders.

There’s a risk that Stones might get injured midweek, and Coutinho might not play gameweek 12 due to international travels. Also, it’s a good idea heading into the international break with 2 free transfers.

But still, this seems like the way to get in Coutinho. Is it worth the risk?

I found myself looking at Stones, but took me 4 weeks to get rid and don't want him back!

Understandable. But Guardiola’s system is said to be complex and difficult for the players to learn. But when they get it ... And they have Middlesbrough, Palace and Burnley. Three clean sheets should be quite likely?

Are there any other £5.3-or-less defenders you’d rather have for gameweeks 11–13? Morgan? Pieters?

    2 transfers away from this.....

No idea how to set up my team this week. Injured Theo, 3 Watford away to Liverpool and Walker vs Kos isn't great. Fortunately I have 2.5Mil in the bank and 2FTs, but where to start? I'd like Theo and Deeney out but that still leaves defensive issues. Deeney Theo Walker to Austin Smith Sanchez?

    Heaton Pickford
    Holebas Walker Kos Evans Amat
    Walcott Allen Firmino Sterling Capoue
    Aguero Deeney Costa
