A disappointing Gameweek 12 stutters to its conclusion at the Hawthorns this evening as West Bromwich Albion entertain travel-sick Burnley.

The Baggies have mustered just a single clean sheet in five fixtures in front of their own supporters but will fancy their chances of improving that record, bearing in mind that Burnley have scored once in four road trips.

Sean Dyche’s side have shipped three goals on a trio of away occasions, heightening the hosts’ optimism for finding the net. With Nacer Chadli still unavailable, Salomon Rondon seems the likeliest source of attacking returns.

Chris Brunt is handed another chance to impress as an out of position prospect, with the Irishman set to start on the flank once again.

No side have conceded more attempts from set-pieces than Burnley this season, which suggests that Tom Heaton can expect an aerial assault from Gareth McAuley and co, with Brunt’s delivery a key weapon.

Burnley’s lack of bite on the road means that top scorer Sam Vokes faces a tough task of maintaining his fine form, having netted against Southampton, Everton and Palace in three of the previous four Gameweeks.

If Kane impresses next weekend I'm considering taking another -8 to bring him in:

Austin, Mane, Walker → Kane, 6.1, Cedric
Or → Kane, 5.7, Baines/Cresswell/Zouma (you never know)

Would this be a worthwhile sacrifice for a Christmas period with Kane in the team?

No one is worth a -8

Can you elaborate on that please? Are you saying that Kane will at no point have accumulated 8 points more than Austin?

With plenty of midfield options in that bracket (Moses, Bolasie, Bojan, Stanislas, Philips, Capoue, Morrison etc), it doesnt seem so bad, especially with Anichebe to bring in on rough fixtures

I probably will also -4 Walker and Lukaku out for him if he does anything

However, Walker has a very good chance of a cleanie that week

Yeah I'd like to keep walker the whole season, but there is better value elsewhere in defence, and especially better value in forward options like Kane

Pickford (7) bench, highest scorer in squad. Cedric (5) bench, third highest.
Would love a brace from McAuley right now.

Why would Pulis buy a non-CB only to bench him?

Because non-CBs belongs on the bench...

Difficult to say yet I guess. Galloway pushing for a start and maybe Brunt will be moved to LB when Chadli is back.

That being said I think he is pretty sure starter at the moment and a good pick - espieciay considering price and fixtures

I'd do that move all day long, could pay off the hit week 1 with Firmino vs Sunderland at home, but will almost definitely do so over a few weeks.

Value is worth considering too, Gundog and Lukaku both dropping, Firmino and Austin both rising, fixtures are great for both as well.
