This evening we reveal the managers who have made it through to the third round of the 13th instalment of our open to all Fantasy Premier League cup competition.

For this latest contest there are more than £1,000 worth of prizes for UK based entrants courtesy of our partner FanDuel, as well as £350 in Amazon vouchers to the top three managers at the end of the competition.

Last year’s winner I Casillas Winning’s score of 55 saw him overcome Tufs to set up a round three clash with Allezlechef. Just 10,000 places separates this pair in the overall rankings.

Gribude is another former cup holder to make it through. He beat Allgonepozzo in round two and faces Cok3y5murf next.

Ex-champ MCH also progresses, after seeing off Shem Bayley. He takes on community regular Rhinos in round three.

Sadly, the second round marked the end of the road for another former winner, Ninja Fit Saints, who was beaten 70-49 by Jurgen.

The highest scoring manager of the round and recipient of a £30 FanDuel credit was DaJoeyNdo Show, whose sensational score of 95 left Stoorey’s tally of 40 for dust and saw him leap from 346,603rd in the overall rankings to 57,443rd.

Teguh D Puncak, who he faces next, is unlikely to be worried though as he sits more than 50,000 places higher within the top 5,000.

The four next high scoring managers, who all receive a £10 FanDuel credit, were Captainjpd, Delt_eple, DJDave1979 and Dogba.

Andy85wsm, the competition’s only Scoutcast representative to make it past the first round, marches on. He beat Lardy to set up a third round tie with Anuliz.

Two other members of our moderator and contributor team also make it through. Greenwindmill will face Archie, while Stilicho squares up to lowlifegimpe in round three.

Other notable match ups in the next round include Lateriser12’s encounter with The TinMan, Parm’s tie with TommyJ and What the Fans Say community article writer Bolivian Seaman’s clash with Al Fresco.

The manager to draw the short straw in round three is 433,854 ranked Malvern Angells. He faces Dempele, who at 177th is the highest placed manager remaining in the tournament.

The second round results can be found via this link, while the full third round draw can be found here.

Good luck to those still involved and if you would like more information on the schedule and prizes click this link.

Utd win in the EFL cup against poor opposition and everyone wants to lump on. They only managed a1-1 draw against the same opposition in the league, this site isdo knee jerky

I once brought in Darren Bent after a League Cup hatty. If that's not a warning, I don't know what is.

I'm 0.1 short of making a direct transfer from Snoddy to Lallana. Should I get him next week?

    I'm playing 352.
Currently Sanchez, Hazard, Firmino, Snoddy, Siggy, Austin, AGUERO (Anichebe).

    Raise cash from:

    Foster, Pickford
    Koscielny, PVA, Stones, Holebas, Amat

trying to get my head around the fact that the plane carrying those people may have ran out of fuel..how do you explain that to the deceased's loved ones?? that is breathtaking negligence if thats the case

It sounds to me like it's something that the pilot did many times before

Easy to say that, but small, unexpected changes in weather have huge effects on fuel consumption.
Plus, a lot of these smaller airlines will only be able to afford to fill up the minimum that is required.

Do top level brazilian clubs fly on budget airlines? I'd have thought they would not skimp on cost when flying their team, no?

talk that airport where they had to re fuel was closed at night so they skipped the refueling.

I really can't comment on the financial strength of Brazilian clubs, but I suppose the only thing that might give some perspective is their stadium only holds 22k people, so whilst they're in the top tier, I don't know how rich they may or may not be?

            9 years, 7 months ago

Oh they are rich, at least the bigger ones are. Especially by Brazilian standards. Certainly rich enough to not skimp on safety. That doesn't mean they don't though eh.

Yea, I know the bigger clubs are obviously very wealth, I'm just not sure about the bottom of the league. Whilst the Hulls and Sunderlands (no offence meant) of this world are crazy wealthy, I'm not sure if it's the same for Brazil.
But it's difficult to have a proper take on it without many of the facts, terrible tragedy.

Yeah true. No point making assumptions eh.
I'm amazed there is actually survivors.

One of the survivors died later. One survivor's leg was amputated.

If an airline can't afford to fill a plane with fuel for the flight then they should not be an airline.

      May have been leaking fuel.

    5. Worzel Gummidge

Apparently the pilot decided to not refuel the plane, the journey distance was at the upper limit of the planes fuel capabilities and they were asked to fly around for 20 minutes waiting for an opportunity to land (another playing called in an emergency). Only when they called in a fuel emergency did the ACT start trying to help by which point it was too late. It is also regulatory to have 45 minutes worth of emergency fuel to get to an alternative airport but I am not sure if it did but due to the journey distance it was used or if this was not done as the pilot decided to not refuel. Either way it is all pointing to pilot negligence IMO.

Sanchez vs Kane for the armband. Who and why?

Currently on Kane (at home and on pens to a leaky SWA), but it feels somewhat safer with Sanchez (form form form)

You have to go with Kane here. Swansea are absolutely shocking at the back. West Ham will be up for the derby although they are in horrific shape as well.

This time last season Vardy became the first player to score in 11 consecutive Premier League matches. This season he hasn't had a shot on target since September 10th. Now that is a fall from grace.

It's a bit rubbish, the FanDuel Cup, isn't it? You can't see your team's fixtures or results without wading through the entire fixture list, which takes a long time. The table at least needs a search function. Or put teams in alphabetical order.
