After Roberto Firmino earned Liverpool the points at West Brom, our attentions now turn to Old Trafford as Manchester United entertain Chelsea in the 4.00pm kick-off.

The big news is that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been named amongst the substitutes for the home side, with Jose Mourinho conceding that the veteran is “very tired” as he juggles his options ahead of the upcoming Europa League clash with Anderlecht.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan is also on the bench, though Antonio Valencia’s 15.7% owners can breathe a sigh of relief – he’s handed a first league start since Gameweek 30.

With a double Gameweek 34 against Burnley and neighbours City just around the corner, this afternoon’s match affords Fantasy managers the chance to cast an eye over Mourinho’s side.

Certainly, Ibrahimovic owners will be desperate for more than just a late cameo – he’s the second most captained player for Gameweek 33, with more than 621,000 handing him the armband.

Chelsea pair Diego Costa (7.9%) and Eden Hazard (4.3%) could emerge as differential captaincy picks, though United have been solid in front of their own supporters, conceding just twice in their last five at Old Trafford.

Indeed, that resilient record – allied with two goals in his previous nine appearances – goes some way to explaining why Costa was the most transferred out player last week, with over 121,000 owners looking elsewhere.

Marcos Alonso’s 15.9% owners are left cursing their luck, though, after the top-scoring defender in FPL was forced to withdraw prior to kick-off after picking up a knock in the warm-up.

Struggling with this myself (have kaku and kane). I guess it depends on EL, if united seals the win early then ibra is rested and has bigger chance to play 60mins> in both DGW matches

      In that case: zlatan.

      wait and see

Why do you think we should give siggy one more game FPLVIRGIN??

For all the abuse pogba gets he deserves praises today

I thought he was superb, he won the battle over kante tonight

Shame the press and most people won't highlight this but when he has a bad performance they are the first ones to pipe up

This indeed was the reason Chelsea faltered. Many teams have tried to nullify him without success. Mourhino learned his lesson well from the previous 2 defeats against Chelsea

100m+ was paid for him for much more than just keep Kante quiet...

Pogba is overpriced player and under Mourinho he can't reach that performance level when he played for Juve..

    Jakupovic

    Lovren/Walker/Baines
    Alli/Siggy/Eriksen/Zaha
    Carroll/Lukaku/Ibrahimovic

    Bench: Heaton/Mawson/Robertson/Allen

    3.4 ITB, 1 Free Transfer

    A) Carroll > Rashford for DGW
    B) Siggy > Hazard?
    C) Both for -4?
    D) Other option, maybe a defensive swap?

If someone in the ML has no WC but uses free transfers to stock up on DGWers for 34 could it backfire when trying to get rid for 36/37

they currently own 5 37 dgw players and 0 for 36, if they attack the 34 gw without a WC can profit properly without hits for the 36/37 doubles

If United beat Burnley they will be 1 point behind City going into the Derby. Surely Ibra shouldn't be rested for the next match against Burnley and if they win that then it's all to play for against City.

They have a really good chance of going into the Top 4 by next week.

He played 3 in a row and got a rest today. Could play the next 3: EL, DGW, but then Swansea is at risk.

Thinking of going Ibra less for rest of season, and WC'ing to something like this in GW35, then bench boosting in GW36 (all players have DGW or good fixture), then TC Haz, Kun or Kane in GW37.

    Pickford, Jak
Alonso, Mustafi, Walker/Davis, Yosida and City/Lei Def
Sanchez, Alli, Walcott/Haz, King, Ward Prowse
    Kane, Gabbi, Kun/Vardy

TC Sanchez/Gabbi in GW36 and bench boost in GW37 (with 13 DGW'ers) also an option.

Today was one of the only times since Jose Mourinho took over at United that i felt he played a tactical master class to snuff out Chelsea's

Azpi is a way better defender than Alonso imo and Zouma made the back 3 stronger.

To be honest they were outplayed. Don't think Alonso would have made any difference.

Courtois was a loss but other teams have had bigger injury problems than Courtois so it's not an excuse.

Risky, but with Palace having a good fixture in GW35 as well it could pay off, if you can WC them out after that.
