Saturday’s events draw to a close at the Emirates Stadium where Arsenal host Manchester United.
Once a fixture of huge significance for Fantasy managers, it’s fair to say that both teams have declined as a source of talent this season.
Romelu Lukaku heads into today’s match having suffered significant ownership losses over the previous two Gameweeks. He was sold by 234,000 ahead of today’s deadline, while some 356,000 moved him out in the previous Gameweek. The Belgian has just a single goal in his last seven Gameweek starts, recording three assists over that spell.
Interest in Paul Pogba has also slowed. He exploded with 12-points on his return to the starting line-up in Gameweek 12 but has since returned just an assist and saw his ownership dip by 6600 ahead of this match.
Meanwhile, Man Utd’s defence has produced just one clean sheet in the last four Gameweeks, with Phil Jones’ absence perhaps a key factor.
Arsenal have just started to hint that they could provide us with assets to consider.
Alexis Sanchez – last season’s top scoring player – remains on the periphery as part of just 2.7% of squads but Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey are showing form that could yet tempt investment.
Ramsey has produced attacking returns in five of his last six Gameweeks, supplying four assists and two goals. Meanwhile, Ozil is fresh from a 17-point return in Gameweek 14.
Elsewhere, Alexandre Lacazette is, rather surprisingly involved in the tea-time kick-off. Arsene Wenger had stated that the Frenchman would miss out against Untied, but he starts and leads the Gunners attack.
