After a 1-1 stalemate at St Mary’s, we now move to Anfield as Liverpool and Everton square up in the first Merseyside derby of the season.

The big news is that Jurgen Klopp has named both Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino on the hosts’ bench for the 2.15pm encounter.

The Reds’ Brazilians were among the top four players for transfers in last week, with 293,000+ and 220,000+ new owners respectively.

Mohamed Salah owners can breathe a sigh of relief, though, as he’s named on the teamsheet up front along with Dominic Solanke and Sadio Mane.

Second only to Harry Kane for the Gameweek 16 captaincy, the Egyptian has been handed the armband by 15.8% of Fantasy Premier League managers on the back of three sets of double-digit hauls in his last five league outings.

Mane, meanwhile, has two sets of 10+ hauls in his last three league starts and netted twice at home to Spartak Moscow in midweek.

For Everton, the form of budget frontman Dominic Calvert-Lewin has caught the eye of late. He was the sixth most transferred in (157,000+) player for Gameweek 16 after bagging a goal and assist against Huddersfield last time out.

The youngster retains his start, though Sam Allardyce also names Oumar Niasse on the Toffees’ teamsheet for the first time since Gameweek 12.

Gylfi Sigurdsson is another to monitor ahead of back-to-back encounters with Newcastle and Swansea – the Toffees’ playmaker has served up attacking returns in each of the previous four league fixtures.

It wasn't a dive - he was clearly pushed

so that's enough to put a grown man to the floor. Pathetic

If it was a push with his shoulder fine. You saw him use his hands in the back of DCL. No a grown man doesn't have to go down because of that, but a defender shouldn't push so obviously in that area. He was late and out of balance, could have just kept himself between DCL and the goal.

yes Lovren wasn't very clever for putting his hands on DCL's back, but if we've got to the point where that is a foul, football has officially become a non contact sport

Idk, Jimmer’s. The contact was quite minor. I think it was a dive.

It was a clumsy shove. Not a dive. Lovren at fault not the ref

You post a lot of good stuff but you have this badly wrong. Clear push , clear penalty.

It was a push, but not enough to constitute a foul. If that's a foul, there would be hundreds of fouls every game

Depends to the referee right. Sometimes it's foul, sometimes not.

Dont know about niasse or reid to morata yesterday, but i think we know that different referee sometimes producd different decision. No replay help makes this even harder for referees to decide properly. Think we have to accept this as part of the game

that's the main problem at the end of the day, too much subjectivity in decision making, which I admit is a hard job. I just don't like the way the game is going in regards to fouls , and suppose that's why I have such a strong reaction to such instances as the one today

What i really think is football referees are not being supported by tools or rules to make their work easier, while for example in NBA referees can check the replay to make decisions. Or in tennis players can challenge referee if they think th referee's decision is not right.

I just think those things lead to subjectivity or decision errors made by football referees. Or maybe, just maybe, that's the area where bookies can play. Just maybe 🙂

Can safely assume the following on Rotation for this week... My little take.

Gomez will be rotated with TAA for Wednesday
Ramsey pulled up injured today so will be out Wednesday
Sterling will be rested Wednesday as he is playing today
Aguero will probably start Wed night as Jesus starts today
Coutinho Will start on Wednesday after being rested today
Salah came off in 67th min so touch and go if he starts Wednesday
Spurs will most likely rotate both full backs for Wednesday with Aurier and Rose to play over Trippier and Davies
Jones back to fitness and may be cheap in to United Defence for Wednesday
