The curtailed Gameweek 35 concludes at Goodison Park tonight as Everton host Newcastle United in a fixture that has all the makings of a dead rubber.

The two teams are now surely safe from the threat of relegation and appear to be playing for Premier League prize money only over the remaining matches.

But from a Fantasy perspective, there is still interest in the Merseyside clash, with Free Hit managers investing in the likes of Jordan Pickford, Leighton Baines and Seamus Coleman in their one-week refresh.

All start for the home side tonight.

Meanwhile, those without the chip at their disposal, likely take Magpies assets into this match, with Ayoze Perez, Kenedy and budget defender Paul Dummett among the most likely to feature in squads.

Indeed, Perez is the most signed player on show tonight, having commanded over 133,000+ transfers in ahead of Saturday’s deadline.

That follows a rich vein of form from the Spaniard which has produced three goals and three two assists from his last three Gameweek starts.

Perez sits behind Islam Slimani in the attack tonight, with the Algerian starting a Premier League match for Newcastle for the first time since his loan move from Leicester City.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I'm keeping. Captaining in GW38 and don't want to spend two transfers to get him out and back in again. Can easily score against Chelsea in 37.

      1. Ibracadabra
        • 16 Years
        7 years, 7 months ago

For me it's the replacement and the cost. If it looks like he will be rotated this weekend against Stoke, it means he is AT Chelsea (still going for Top 4) in GW37 whereas Sterling (his replacement for me) would have 3 matches instead of Salah + a bench player for me in 36 (Dunk at Burnley).

More confident than not. He is Pep's teacher's pet. 18 goals. 2 away from 20 in the league. Pep wants to show everyone how he turned the diamond in the rough with average positioning sense and shaky first touch at Liverpool to a true diamond. I think he's featured in almost every game when fit, and no need to rest since no CL or FA Cup.

It looks like even after quite a surprise lineup yet again this week after everyone confidently predicted a full strength team, people haven't learned not to second-guess Pep 🙂

                • 16 Years
                7 years, 7 months ago

It's not second guessing Pep. It's just looking at the data, Sterling has started 21of the past 22 games he has been fit for. I think that's a risk worth taking.

                1. Cok3y5murf
                  • 9 Years
                  7 years, 7 months ago

Yeah but they hadn't won the league then.

Now all he has to play for are either A) experiment with his team by rotating or trying different systems or formations or B) maybe go for breaking that 100 points record with a strong team. A certainly looks the more sensible beneficial option.

The reason you mentioned - "Pep wants to show everyone how he turned the diamond in the rough with average positioning sense and shaky first touch at Liverpool to a true diamond". I have no idea where you got this from but this is completely pure speculation. Unless Pep personally told you this. It seems a petty reason. He has nothing to prove. Everyone already knows what he's turned Sterling into.

I already have Sterling and Jesus but City assets are rotation risks too. No guarantee any of them start both games in GW37.

Only if he's not in the leaked lineup this week. Waste of 2 transfers to sell him in 37 and then bring him back in 38. He'll probably score against Chelsea too

With most the people here right now in 4 digit rank ,( some with 3 too) , I gotta ask how are you planning to end the game with? Are you gonna push yourself by playing aggressively or will play it defensively?

Personally , I am gonna take hits and remove those players with only 3 games left with players who have 4 games left . Stuck between 2-4k forever

How many (and which) spurs players do you expect to have for the dgw37?

Currently on Lloris, Kane (already have em) and thinking of bringing in Eriksen. Son could be good value, but with both Moura and Lamela looming around, both him and Alli look like risky picks

I wouldn' be so bothered if it wasn't for the jammiest ML rival who has now overtaken me with an absolutely garbage team, no luck what so ever this season.

It can play like that sometimes.
Bad captain picks, right team - wrong defender etc.
          Chin up.
You've got 11/12 DGWers but 3 are a bit shaky - Ota, Lingard & Morgan and you've got some hitlist picks for 37 as well but it's hard (or reluctant) to give advice as it looks like you've been plain unlucky. 🙁

It certainly can, and i've hit every bit of bad luck in every department haha.
That's true, i'm still remaining slightly hopeful for a strong finish, and if i take over my rival then happy days.
I would be overjoyed to just finish within top 100k with only TC chip left.

Reckon it's worth playing TC on Kane this week instead of DGW? WBA defending better, and newcastle won't be a walkover either i guess? way to make up some ground?

I would have to say it sounds foolish or risky when you have the opportunity of having 2 games the following week but you know that.
Don't compound your bad luck by making risky or hi-risk moves is my advice.

haha i know, i was thinking out loud i guess, be wrong to force the improvmement, instead of letting it come to me with the DGW. I'll hold off for that then, hoping rival can't afford Kane also.
Think i'll just save the FT this week then man, deep breath, and hold off 🙂

I’d just do Salah to Eriksen if Salah is going to be rested.

    Two quickies:

    1. If we get another Anfield Express leak this week and either Salah or Firmino are not starting, would you start Willian instead?

    2. If both play, am I mad benching Willian rather than Kenedy and Milli?

Feels like such a waste having him on the bench, but he just can't seem to get into my team this week.

    Cheers.

Don't bench Willian for Kenedy or Mili. I would sell Salah or Firmino if they aren't starting this week, so hold transfer. You may get 20 minutes from them this week and then AT Chelsea. I know Salah had a great cameo off the bench earlier this season against Stoke but Lambert has improved them.

My worry is that Milli and Kenedy are both playing at home, in teams that are playing reasonably well, against beatable teams, and both are nailed. Willian is playing away, in a team that is a bit out of sorts, against a team who (City aside) are improving, and is a rotation risk.

I think if Firmino is dropped, then I'll start Willian ahead of him, but even if Salah is benched, I still think I'll still start him ahead of Willian.

Would like to give him one more week to see how he does because he's facing 2 sides that are rubbish away from home in 37.

How many (and which) city players do you expect to have for the dgw37?

Currently only on Jesus and Sterling (already have em) as I think everyone bar Jesus and Ederson is prone to rotation. So not sure I want any more than those two.

I brought in Jesus, KDB and Sterling last week and likely to keep them all.

I think KDB is nailed as well
      Too expensive for me
Going with only Jesus & Sterling myself

    Bottomed last page

Who is better for DGW37 out of

    1. Mili (sto)

    2. Kenedy (wat, tot)

I am thinking Mili as he has a better GW38 fixture too.

    Any opinions appreciated!!!

I'd rather have neither as well, but the funds only allow so many expensive players!! Thanks for the input!

I have 2, but purely due to funds and him being a nice differential.
