Nice to Finally Michu: “Heading to Waterstones on my lunchbreak today to pick it up, can’t wait to read! Congrats to all who contributed!”

AlbrightonDKnight: “Birthdays or Christmas sorted!!”

Snazzy Viking: “Great news. I will give it a read the moment it comes to my doorstep 😉”

raoulduke71: “My copy of wasting your wildcard arrived a few days ago, great job guys!”

    Tragically bottomed

Just got in from work and have seen that arsenal played laca through the middle with auba wide in today’s friendly.

Auba owners what do we think about this - Sticking? Considering switching to laca or Aguero?

Been very happy with auba in my team till this news. We surely want our 11m forward to be playing as near the goal as possible.. Would love to hear thoughts on this as I’m now a tad confused. Cheers

Auba always cuts in off the wing anyway.

I honestly don’t think it makes a difference with how often the Arsenal attackers interchange positions during a game. They are very fluid.

Okay useful to know, cheers. Issue is that this news has changed auba from a dead set in my team to more of a “wait and see”

I still like him. He's really the only premium striker who you can feel really confident in playing 90 minutes every week for the first month or so and inverted wingers/second strikers can pile up the goals, depending on the player and the team. Maybe Lacazette will prove to be better value or Aguero will come out like gangbusters, but I find it hard to look past Aubameyang.

    Right, fresh eyes please.
Been on this for a while now.
Going for the 4.5s across the back strategy.
Not keen on the premium defenders at this point in time.

    Patricio
    Tomkins Cedric Daniels
    Salah Sanchez Mkhi Jota
    Aguero Firmino Zaha

    4.0 Yedlin Diop Stephens

    Could this work...??

Bench could use some work, prefer the 4.5 Everton CB whether its Jagielka or Holgate. Id even put a Watford, Brighton or Wolves defender over Yedlin, Diop

Also think Sane + 1 mil is better than alexis

        Thanks for the reply.
I’m not 100% set on the 4.5s yet am definitely watching the Everton situation.
An set on having Sanchez from the start, but he’s far from secure in my team...

Would appreciate some debate on this, as I'm in a bit of a quandary. I'm designing my drafts based on the idea that I will be wildcarding gameweek four.

    +++ POSITIVES +++
    1. The first few weeks are a lottery. There is no certainty over lines ups and getting the correct budget players is purely down to chance. Minimising the number of weeks you start with your *uneducated* team, the better.
    2. Definitely starting with him, but those four weeks will give me a chance to decide whether Salah is worth the £13m outlay.
    3. Those who featured heavily at the World Cup will be back and raring to go for gameweek five.
    4. Possible chance to increase overall Team Value early doors.
    5. Initial team building is taking account only four games. Using the fixture tracker, this makes clear the teams to target and those to avoid. Smaller sample size = more skew.
    6. Less stress. Can go for both the highly owned players but also a few punts, knowing full well that your wildcard is just around the corner if it goes badly and that you've planned for the situation.
    7. Four fixtures in which to determine the teams who will struggle and those that'll exceed expectations - it's anybody's guess at this point.
    8. The wildcard itself will last longer, giving more opportunities to delve into underlying statistics and the like.

    --- NEGATIVES ---
    1. It feels wrong and I have never planned a wildcard before.
    2. Going from early September to the end of the year without a wildcard in my back pocket, in the event that an injury crisis hits my squad, would feel dangerous.
    3. Seems to be leaning me towards picking some players I wouldn't otherwise consider, which is throwing me off a tad.

Thanks in advance, ladies and gents.

I have read this book. It's incredibly interesting. Unfortunately my writing skills are quite poor. But thanks to the research proposal online https://www.phdresearchproposal.org/ service it became easier for me to study at the university. Writers help me complete difficult tasks and my academic performance remains at a good level.
