After a barnstorming match between Cardiff City and Arsenal on Sunday lunchtime, the two 16:00 BST kick-offs at Vicarage Road and Turf Moor bring Gameweek 4 to an end.

Tottenham Hotspur have made three changes to the side that beat Manchester United last Monday, with Ben Davies (£5.8m), Davinson Sanchez (£5.9m) and Michel Vorm (£4.9m) – in for the injured Hugo Lloris (£5.5m) – the men to come in. Danny Rose (£5.9m) and Eric Dier (£4.9m) drop to the bench.

Sanchez’s inclusion means that Mauricio Pochettino’s side are set to employ a 3-5-2 formation this afternoon, with Lucas Moura (£7.2m) possibly set to join Harry Kane (£12.5m) in attack – as the Brazilian did in the 3-1 win over Fulham. Moura was the second-most-bought player of Gameweek 4, being drafted in by more than half a million Fantasy Premier League managers.

Watford, meanwhile, are unchanged for the fourth successive league match.

The injured Phil Jones (£5.2m) is one of three players to drop out of Jose Mourinho’s starting XI, with Fred (£5.8m) and Ander Herrera (£5.0m) forced to watch on from the bench.

Alexis Sanchez (£10.2m), Marouane Fellaini (£5.0m) and Victor Lindelof (£4.9m) earn a reprieve to the United first team, which looks on paper to be a 4-3-3 following the wing-back experiment of Gameweek 3.

United are yet to keep a clean sheet this season (having recorded a league-high 19 in 2017/18) and David De Gea (£5.9m) – the most-sold goalkeeper of this round – has the worst save percentage of all the Premier League shot-stoppers this campaign.

Having naming an unchanged team for his side’s first three league matches, Sean Dyche has rotated his full-backs, with Charlie Taylor (£4.5m) and Phil Bardsley (£4.4m) replacing Stephen Ward (£4.9m) and Matthew Lowton (£4.9m).

An injury to Johann Berg Gudmundsson (£5.9m) means that 18-year-old Dwight McNeil gets a start on the left flank.

Burnley XI: Hart; Taylor, Tarkowski, Mee, Bardsley; Cork, Hendrick, Westwood, Lennon, McNeil; Wood.

Manchester United XI: De Gea; Valencia, Lindelof, Smalling, Shaw; Fellaini, Matic, Pogba; Lingard, Lukaku, Sanchez.

Watford XI: Foster; Janmaat, Cathcart, Kabasele, Holebas; Hughes, Capoue, Doucoure, Pereyra; Deeney, Gray.

Spurs XI: Vorm; Trippier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Sanchez, Davies; Dembele, Eriksen, Dele; Lucas, Kane.

Depends on your priorities (OR, ML). I'd typically stick to a template of 8 or 9 decently owned payers with a couple punts in there

Go with your gut. If u worry about ownership you end up getting the same players as everyone else and its hard to gain ground/pull away. Do what u think looks good and get ahead of the trens

If you consider yourself less than average player, ownership should help you. If you are better than average, play as well as you can 😉

I think my team is in a decent place overall, however this week I have the:

2nd most transferred out GK (DDG)
The 2 most transferred out defenders (Daniels & TAA)
3 of 4 most transferred out midfielders (Walcott, Salah, Mkhi)
    Most transfered our forward (Zaha)
& a bench full of fodder

Is this a recipe for WC over the break or should I hold firm with most of this lot?

    Cheers

I have the same issue. I'm thinking of making the transfers to ensure I don't lose too much value but my team like yours is not in a bad place. Need a tweak or two. I'm going to hold for now and ride it out until after the Internationals I think

My only issue is I've build a pretty good TV so far, but will likely see a lot of drops if I opt to hold

I wouldn't worry about Salah. He bangs in two against Tottenham and everyone will be scrambling to get him back in. Walcott and Mkhi are a worry though. I wonder if Mkhi will be warming the bench further with Auba, Laca and Ozil becoming the preferred frontline, while Walcott I think just isn't really a good option period.

Daniels also needs to go at some point while Zaha could well be back next round. Problem is, there are a lot of excellent options in the sub 7.0 striker bracket right now...

If you have 2 frees I would strongly consider a -4

I'm leaning towards no. Read just earlier that he had been critizied by Arsenal fans for a poor work rate and with that win, Auba-Laca-Ozil could well become the preferred front 3

Arsenal fans were happy with ozil second half and I think emery has realized he can't afford two luxury players in ozil and Mkhi on the pitch at once in. A high press system. Not looking good for Mkhi imo

    1. Snikii
      • 12 Years
      8 years, 1 day ago

Not the reason why he was benched. He just offers the same things Bellerin does when he plays on the right.

        1. Snikii
          • 12 Years
          8 years, 1 day ago

Mkhi does not offer anything playing on the right that Bellerin doesnt. E.G cutbacks. Having Ramsey there is much better as they are more solid defensively and have a better runner in the box. Ramsey also keeps the ball better in small spaces.

            8 years, 1 day ago

Wait, so you agree then? If Ozil stays, Bellerin offers the same Mkhi does and Ramsey is preferred to hold up the ball and runs in the box, then it's not looking good for Mkhi's play time?

          2. Emp
            • 14 Years
            8 years, 1 day ago

Didn't Ramsey start the game in the ten and ozil on the right or am I misunderstanding you?

I think he means having Ramsey there and Ozil playing wider. Either way, I also think Mkhi's playing time is in serious danger. Especially after reading that fans were critizising Mkhi for his poor work rate...

See a lot of people considering selling salah. I did too. Unless you're thinking of getting him back in on a wildcard I would strongly advise against.

Sure, he's expensive, but still playing very high up, lots of shots on target and plenty of assist potential. Highly likely he will still finish as top fpl scorer.

Plus great rotating captain with aguero or hazard. Problem is that if you're trying to get him back in without a wildcard, it's awkward to do as he's so expensive.

Not worried about fixtures, we've seen him score against anyone plus Liverpool are clearly going well...?!

    WC draft any thoughts?

    Patricio - Hamer
    Alonso - Mendy - Robbo - Bennet - AWB
    Mane - Dilva - Fraser - Hazard - Neves
    Lacazette - Kun - Ings

Laca too knee jerky? No Salah a worry but pool fixtures awful and can't squeeze him and Hazard in.

    Any advice welcome!

If Laca starts, then he is a very good pick at that price in my opinion.

However I think he is still an expressive rotation risk. As a Mkhi owner, Emery still trying to find the best tactics to start worry me

Salah to hazard is the proper move

Hi guys, I am thinking about Salah->hazard and Walcott->Moura for a -8 hit. Is the forthcoming increase in value worth the hit, or is -8 too much?

Salah can score against anyone and Wally may be back for next gw, not worth -8 imo

Why is Stephens being heavily sold? Is it mainly kneejerking to ward or billing?

If I wildcard right now and confirm my transfers, can I change them before the next gw deadline?

Also, would you wildcard a team with 1 FT and this lot?

      B. Silva
      Walcott
      King
      Cairney (bench)
      Peltier (bench)

+ I want Alonso, Hazard and Mitrovic

Tomkins, Bilva, Zaha -> Alonso, Fraser, Mitrovic for a -8 is ridiculous risk now right?

Yes...Zaha to Mitrovic is well worth doing though if he is out for 4 weeks as reported

Anyone got any idea how long Tomkins is out for?

Also got Peltier so if he is out for next gw I'll end up taking a hit. An extra to get Alonso doesn't sound too crazy in that scenario

On WC which would you prefer? :

    A - Lacazette & Rui Patricio (set & forget 4.5 GK)
    B - Vardy & Schmeichel (set & forget 5.0 GK)

    Thanks.

If anyone is willing to bring Bennett in and Peltier out, do it today as both prices likely to change tonight
