Everton take on rock-bottom West Ham United in the penultimate match of Gameweek 5, with kick-off at Goodison Park at 16:00 BST.

Theo Walcott (£6.7m) was the second-most-sold Fantasy Premier League player of this round, with over a third of his owners ditching the Everton winger after he picked up an injury in the 1-1 draw with Huddersfield Town a fortnight ago.

Walcott, however, has won his race to be fit for this afternoon’s match, along with defensive midfielder Idrissa Gueye (£4.9m).

Richarlison (£6.6m), still the most-owned Everton outfield player in FPL despite his recent ban, sits out the last match of his suspension, while the injured Seamus Coleman (£5.3m) joins the lengthy list of players unavailable to Marco Silva for this afternoon’s encounter.

Jonjoe Kenny (£4.3m) – who recorded a clean sheet and an assist in this fixture last season – comes into the Everton starting XI in place of Coleman, with Tom Davies (£5.4m) making way for Gueye in the double-pivot.

Everton have yet to keep a clean sheet this season, but Jordan Pickford (£5.4m) remains the fourth-most-popular goalkeeper in FPL in spite of this.

Marko Arnautovic (£7.0m) is the most-owned player on show on either side at Goodison, with the Austrian having scored both of West Ham’s Premier League goals this season.

The Hammers’ poor defensive record of ten goals conceded and no clean sheets has influenced over half a million FPL managers’ selections between the sticks: 70.8% of Lukasz Fabianski‘s (£4.5m) owners have benched the Polish shot-stopper this week.

Manuel Pellegrini has made six changes to the side that lost 1-0 to Wolverhampton Wanderers two weeks ago, including the recall of Pablo Zabaleta (£4.3m) and Arthur Masuaku (£4.5m) at full-back.

Pellegrini has seemingly switched from a 4-2-3-1 to a 4-3-3, with Mark Noble (£4.9m), Declan Rice (£4.4m) and Pedro Obiang (£4.4m) the all-new central midfield three. The injured Jack Wilshere (£4.9m) is among those to make way.

Andriy Yarmolenko (£6.8m) gets his first Premier League start in a front three alongside Felipe Anderson (£6.9m) and Arnautovic.

Everton XI (4-2-3-1): Pickford; Digne, Zouma, Holgate, Kenny; Schneiderlin, Gueye; Calvert-Lewin, Sigurdsson, Walcott; Tosun.

West Ham United XI (4-3-3): Fabianski; Zabaleta, Balbuena, Diop, Masuaku; Noble, Rice, Obiang; Yarmolenko, Arnautovic, Felipe Anderson

so on my wildcard i held back a few mill to go Haz>Salah.
This weekend suggests that's simply not worth it, leaving me a bank of 3 point freakin' 2 million.

Hold or replace Ings with Zaha, or Jorginho with Willian?

    Hamer Patricio
    Alonso Mendy Rico Bennett AWB
    Mane Haz Dilva Maddison Jorgino
    Ings Wilson Kun

don't want pool defence currently and playing Patricio every week regardless

Not pulling the trigger yet but, irrespective of the -8 it would cost me, what do you think of:

OUT: De Gea, Bilva, Cairney and Zaha

    IN: Hennessy, Hazard, Fraser, Joselu

Knee jerk or solid improvement? Seems a shame to lose Zaha and even DDG but it would allow me Haz, Salah, Mane and Kun.

1.2k no chips played, highest I’ve been ever. If I had just captained Hazard like I thought I had id have gotten top 250. Feels good though

Anyone bringing in Richarlison this week? I can get him in for free but can't make my mind up on the fixture.

    1. MPC
      8 years, 1 month ago

Depends who else you have. I’m looking at Haz, Salah and Mané so he wouldn’t be an option

    2. arndff_

Depends on who you’re going to ditch

      I'm leaning towards yes.
      Walcott -> Rich that is.

I think I will get him for Pedro. Hes the spanish Walcott for me, never seem to get returns when I put him in

      Arsenal will concede

Arsenal not a single clean sheet so far. Tbh I would rather play Richarlison against Arsenal, than Newcastle or Wolves.

Tough benching decision this week - thoughts?

    henny
    robertson - mendy - alonso
    hazard - pedro - moura - fraser
    kun - mitrovic - auba

    hamer - pva - awb - guendouzi

That looks right. I'd be looking to move on Auba obviously but that can wait til next week.

Auba + Pedro > Salah + Ings looks good for next week if you can afford.

Pva over Pedro if he plays midweek otherwise over Fraser for me

  23. Steve McCroskey

Looks like I picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue.

Who should I prioritise getting rid of:

    Walcott > probably Maddison

Arnie > probably Mitro / Zaha

So... who has given up on Salah? And who thinks having him over the season will be huge?

    1. Steve McCroskey
      8 years, 1 month ago

I subbed him out this week for Hazard (luckily) but I'm terrified of not owning him for SOT at home. Problem is if he scores high then your ranks suffers as everyone has him.

    2. Rash
      8 years, 1 month ago

People who held surely didn't seriously expect much against spurs away (although he should have) if they were going to drop then this week was the time imo

    3. Volley127

Happy to keep at the mo, and I think signs are still good. I mean he's hardly blanked 5 games in a row anyway.

Not even sure what i'd do with the extra money getting rid anyway.

Might do Hazard to Salah this week

West Ham is a good fixture.

Salah is definitely in the don't buy, don't sell category right now. All Liverpool players are.
