The final Premier League fixture before the October international break takes place at 16:30 BST – and what a match it promises to be.

Liverpool versus Manchester City is perhaps the most anticipated clash of the season so far, with plenty of Fantasy interest in assets from both sides.

Despite suffering over 210,000 sales and a price drop in Fantasy Premier League this week, Sergio Aguero (£11.3m) is still owned by more than one in two Fantasy managers and has actually been captained by more FPL bosses than Eden Hazard (£11.2m) this weekend.

Aguero leads the line for City again this afternoon in a side that shows three changes from the team that started the win over Brighton in Gameweek 7.

John Stones (£5.3m) replaces Nicolas Otamendi (£6.1m) at centre-back, but the more noteworthy alterations to Pep Guardiola’s starting XI come on the left flank.

Benjamin Mendy (£6.2m), who has suffered over 1,375,000 sales in FPL since missing out in Gameweek 5, returns at left-back, with Oleksandr Zinchenko (£4.8m) missing out.

Mendy’s inclusion, as has often been the case in the past, means that Leroy Sane (£9.2m) drops to the bench, with Riyad Mahrez (£8.6m) coming into the side. Raheem Sterling (£11.1m), it is assumed, will move over to the left flank to play as an inverted winger in Sane’s stead.

Kevin De Bruyne (£9.7m) was rumoured to be in contention for this fixture but is not even among the City substitutes this afternoon. Ilkay Gundogan (£5.6m) also misses out with a hamstring complaint.

Mohamed Salah (£12.8m), Sadio Mane (£9.9m) and Roberto Firmino (£9.4m) all start for the Reds and indeed there is only one change to the starting XI from the side that drew with Chelsea last weekend: Trent Alexander-Arnold (£5.2m), who put in a sub-par display against Napoli in midweek, is replaced by Dejan Lovren (£4.9m).

Joe Gomez (£5.1m) will presumably move across to right-back in Alexander-Arnold’s absence.

Naby Keita (£7.3m) has recovered from a back spasm to take his place in the home dugout, meanwhile.

This fixture features the four most-sold FPL players of Gameweek 8: Salah, Mendy, Aguero and Mane.

Aguero and Liverpool’s front three all registered attacking returns in this corresponding fixture last season, with the hosts running out 4-3 winners in a thrilling match.

No Premier League club has registered more clean sheets than Liverpool and City (four each) this season, though, while City have conceded fewer “big chances” than any other top-flight side. Jurgen Klopp’s side have themselves only allowed six clear-cut opportunities.

Liverpool XI (4-3-3): Alisson; Gomez, van Dijk, Lovren, Robertson; Milner, Henderson, Wijnaldum; Mane, Salah, Firmino.

Manchester City XI (4-3-3): Ederson; Walker, Stones, Laporte, Mendy; Fernandinho, Silva, Bernardo; Mahrez, Sterling, Aguero.

both sound good, depends if you think laca is worth a hit? if you haven't got a king or wilson though i'd be putting them atop arnie for sure.

i think arsenal need to play a couple of tricky games for me to pick one of them up just yet though

Long term I don't think its ideal to keep Aguero. Even in big games he doesn't play more than 65 minutes and he's not as much of a focal point as other strikers in the league, I think a switch to Laca would free up a decent amount and be worth it

Same concern on minutes, but proved wrong recently. I'm giving Aguero next home game then reassess.

Worried about trippier being rested against West ham if aurier is fit. Trips played a few games in a row now. Swap to Robertson for double Liverpool defence with those fixtures?

Bit sideways. Trippier is staying in my team for the foreseeable future.

more than that (for me at least), even though they've managed a few clean sheets Spurs' defense hasn't looked solid at all, especially without Verthongen. It's borderline Arsenal, and with Aurier back as well, and on top of that Eriksen who might take a few set pieces.. it's a no for me

Yes i agree mate, I wouldn't double up. Duffy a good option as he is a goal threat from set pieces and Brighton do well at home so good clean sheet potential. Good fixtures for a while.

However I REALLY want to do Aguero & Chilwell -> Laca & Mendy now.

          Chaps,

If money was no object which three forwards would you want?

          Thanks

Rumours of TAA ankle injury kept him on the bench. If true surely Klopp will withdraw him from the England team ??

Is Alexander Arnold still first choice right back or shall I look to transfer out for Mendy?

You should wait for 2 weeks to see how the internationals pan out..mendy is price locked for a week as hes just back from injury

I think he will be. Gomez definitely not the same for those marauding runs.

          Looking at either:
          A. Alonso, Dilva, Zaha > Mendy, Rich, Laca
          B. Dilva, Zaha, Arnie > Rich, Wilson, Laca

Can see Mendy matching Alonso for points from now on, Arnie will score goals but really want Lacazette.

          Any help?

So folks, what to do with Pedro....is it time for him to go? The little scamp that he is, came on for a cameo appearance and blocked my Robbo points. My problem is that Chelsea are playing really well and I can still see him consolidating a place with them.

Without seeing rest of team I’d keep.

Thanks, the overall team structure is:

              Patricio | 4.0
              Robertson | Alonso | Shaw | Doherty | AWB
              Hazard | Mane | Sterling | Pedro | Fraser
              Aguero | Mitrovic | Kamara

              playing as a 3-5-2

He's not consolidating a place any time soon unless Willian gets injured.

Chelsea are playing really well - he came in for cameo
Why would his cameo consolidate a place when they play really well without him?

Because he seems to be much better suited for their formation and style of play than Willian, I have a feeling that if it wasn't for his recently injury he would have became the preferred starter, so on that basis I'm reluctant to just let him go.

It's very frustrating. Every time I watch Chelsea Willian looks a bit rubbish, yet not convinced the rotation will end.
I want to sell but don't know who to in that price range. Hoping for more KDB news then maybe a double/triple switch.

Guys what do we make of Alonso, is he still worth his price. Didn't really see him bombing forward too much today or in the last 2-3 weeks for that matter. Playing a WC currently so looking to squeeze in every penny from any player I think isn't worth his price tag.

What did you buy him for? I got him at 6.6 & Chelsea look a good thing for regular cleanies so I'm not selling anytime soon.

                I got him for 6.7
I know Chelsea are gonna keep CS but if that's all that Alonso is gonna get me, I'd rather have Luiz for his price

If he was a midfielder around 7mn giving you 6-7 pts you wouldnt have complained. I think keep him till he gets injured or dont keep at all. Learned a lot from last season of knee jerking him in and out at wrong times

My point is that we can squeeze that out of Luiz too. But yeah I agree he's one of those players who won't do anything & suddenly will score a brace against Spurs or something

With the 2x playing 4.0 defenders and budget price strikers doing well I feel Alonso is a luxury I can afford.

I'm on a WC & have got Doherty & Patricio. Not keen on a Wolves triple up.

Has got me 36 points in 6 games for 6.5m. Going nowhere.
