    @FPL VIRGIN

Mark doesn't have Aubameyang, that will hurt him this week

Knowing Mark’s recent luck, he’s probably picked up an injury.

What worries me is Wilson has one good fixture left next week and Rashford is a rotation risk
Surely Mourinho has to play him as he looks sharp and the united fans are demanding he plays over Lukaku

Tough season, My Pre-WC team doing better then the WC team...sigh! Always a chance of it happening I guess. Thoughts below?

    Fabianski
Alonso Kola Schindler - Doherty (LIV) Digne (TOT)
    Hazard Anderson Rich Sane Son
    Kane Mitro — Kamara

Surely save right? Have 0.4m itb. Kane > Auba (c)?? Else captain will be between hazard or kane

I know Laporte has been disappointing as of late but Crystal palace, Leicester and Southampton next 3 fixtures. Can see two CS there for sure and he is nailed on as can be.

Glad I ditched him when I had the chance - got him at 5.6 which was fine. 6.1 is way too much with Doherty/Kola/Digne in the mix.

City seem uncomfortable defending against the threat in the air. They also score so many that they don't mind conceding the odd one. Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs look more secure at the moment.

Laporte can certainly get clean sheets in those games. However with so many other options available that can get both Laporte was never an option for me. Mendy was the only Man city defender I owned or will own and it will probably stay that way.

      Burnley is tempting yeah.

However, big game against Spurs on Wednesday means all the big guns probably play in that.

Might be a rather subdued, low-key performance against Burnley at the weekend.

    I need some advice here.
In last few weeks I can't choose the right keeper, 3 weeks in a row I have points on the bench.
So Patricio&Foster have to go. One of them will become Hamer as bench fodder, but can't decide with set-and-forget keeper should I choose.
    a) Kepa - No other Che def, nice fixtures
    b) Alison - I have Robbo, not great fix but Pool are the best defense so far
    c) Ederson - Own Laporte but not thrilled with this keeper too much
    d) other suggestion? (not including obvious Fabianski)

Allison is he best long term option of you want a premium keeper, but he may disappoint in the short term. Do you have wildcard left? Would you spend two transfers on this? Although I know how frustrting budget keepers can be if things don't go right.

I bought Raul at 5.6 and he's averaging almost 5ppg for me.
What a lovely cheap and consistent asset he has been so far, the perfect third forward!
He has scored 15 in 70 appearances for Mexico too, not too shabby!
Remember people (including a well known Kiwi poster) harping on about how useless he was on here a couple of months back 😉

He is only on loan from Benfica too atm but there is a large buy out clause of 38 million in addition to the 3m that they have paid to loan him for this season!

One thing i learnt in this game this season is watch as many games as you can, be flexible in your approach, take into consideration the history (player's history mainly with regards to stats) and put yourself in Manager's shoes when deciding on getting rotation risk players. Players like Snoddy/Son/Sane will always give you points when playing for attacking teams, having known their history, so i would say jumping on them 2-3 gw's ago would have given you loads of points. We have seen Kane struggle ( and Spurs in general )

    1. ZeBestee
      • 11 Years
      7 years, 7 months ago

... this season so Kane without Eriksen, Alli and Son on the pitch was always going to get you fewer points.

  12. Sgt Frank Drebin
    • 9 Years
    7 years, 7 months ago

Fraser is averaging 5.3 pts per game for 6.3m and everyone says he is such a great value. Trippier is averaging 5.5 pts per game, for 6.1m and no one is gonna say that about him...

    1. MTPockets

compare tripps with other defenders like pool defs, doherty, etc.. among the mids fraser has been good value so far.. although for the near future I would have trips than fraser

      1. Sgt Frank Drebin
        • 9 Years
        7 years, 7 months ago

4-4-2 then? My ideal defence would look like this: Alonso - Robbertson - Doherty - Trippier. Interesting is that defenders outscore mid price forwards for less. For example Jimenez is avereging only 4.8pts per game, Arnautovic 4.5 and Mitro only 4.4 pts per game.

        1. Sgt Frank Drebin
          • 9 Years
          7 years, 7 months ago

But maybe forwards are more of a safe picks? Most of them usually score some points, because the whole team rely on their goals, whereas it's harder to predict which premium defender to pick? So maybe the variance among defenders is much higher than among forwards?

Difficult fixture for pool and everyone’s assets and patience likely to be tested.

Not many will play a wolves attacker or a defender/goalkeeper, whilst owners of Liverpool assets likely to be wary considering wolves results this season.

    Ederson. Hamer.
    Alonso. VVD. Bellerin. Bennett. Peltier.
Salah. Sterling. F. Anderson. Fraser. Kayal.
    Aubameyang. Wilson. Kamara.

    Should I do:

Alonso+ Kayal > David Luiz + Snodgrass....??? Or Should I keep Alonso...?? Cuz he is 6.8 in my team and outside he is 7.0 and I can't afford to get him back later....... What u say..??

I would do it. You already have Peltier, Bennet and Kamara as fodder so Snoddy is a nice upgrade.

I feel Alonso attacking threat has dropped

Looking to do the same in a couple of weeks

28 with Lacazette, Hazard, Robertson, Alonso, Ryan, and TAA to go. Martial first off the bench. AWB second off the bench. Going to be an interesting day.

I still miss Oxlade-Chamberlain, he was in fantastic form before that horrid injury 🙁 I hope he recovers for the semi final against the Netherlands. Would be nice if England had Sterling, Sancho, Rashford & Ox as options on the wings.

Not likely, with his prior injury history and the fact that literally all of the tendons in that knee got ruined, it'll be a miracle of he can play to the same level ever again. Wouldn't you want him in midfield anyway?

        🙁

We have Alli and Lingz for the attacking central midfield role. Might be unbalanced with Ox next to one of them. Need someone like Delph with them who's a bit more cerebral, defensive and can pass from deep.

    Auba / Aguero / Jimenez
