The final match of Gameweek 18 – and indeed the last Premier League fixture before Christmas – takes place this afternoon, with Everton and Tottenham Hotspur in action at Goodison Park. Kick-off on Merseyside is at 16:00 GMT.

Marco Silva declared that Richarlison (£7.0m) had recovered from a cold in his press conference on Friday and indeed the Brazilian midfielder is well enough to take his place on the left flank today, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£5.3m) given the nod to lead the line after his goal at the Etihad last Saturday.

The former Watford winger is owned by twice as many Fantasy Premier League managers as the next most-selected Everton asset, sitting in 31.2% of FPL squads.

Over 240,000 Fantasy bosses have benched Richarlison for this game, though.

Silva has made two changes to his starting XI and has reverted to a 4-2-3-1 after his experimentation with a wing-back system in last week’s 3-1 defeat at Manchester City.

Theo Walcott (£6.2m) and Tom Davies (£5.1m) come into the side, with Bernard (£5.9m) and Yerry Mina (£5.4m) dropping to the bench.

Harry Kane (£12.5m) is the third-most-popular captaincy pick of Gameweek 18, with just over 700,000 FPL managers handing him the armband.

The England striker has delivered an attacking return (four goals, three assists) in each of his last six Premier League starts.

Kane, the second-most-sold FPL forward of this round of matches, lines up as the spearhead of the Spurs attack this afternoon as Mauricio Pochettino makes four changes from the side that beat Burnley in Gameweek 17.

Son Heung-min (£8.5m), Harry Winks (£5.5m), Christian Eriksen (£9.3m) and the fit-again Davinson Sanchez (£5.8m) come into the side as Danny Rose (£5.8m), Oliver Skipp (£4.5m), Erik Lamela (£6.2m) and Lucas Moura (£7.0m) make way.

Kieran Trippier (£6.1m) makes his third start at right-back in eight days, while Dele Alli (£8.9m) does likewise in midfield.

Everton XI (4-2-3-1): Pickford, Coleman, Keane, Zouma, Digne, Davies, Gomes, Walcott, Sigurdsson, Richarlison, Calvert-Lewin.

Spurs XI (4-2-3-1): Lloris, Trippier, Alderweireld, Sanchez, Davies, Winks, Sissoko, Eriksen, Dele, Son, Kane.

37 (-4) final score and one to forget ASAP. Down from 50k OR to 100k!

    Weighing up doing either:
    A) Laporte, Fraser > Digne, Martial (-4)
    B) Sterling, Laporte > Salah, Holebas (-4)
    C) Laporte, Wilson > Digne, Rashford (-4)

    Current team:
    0.3itb 1FT
    Fab
    Laporte*, Luiz, Doherty, AWB
    Sterling, Sané, Haz, Anderson
    Kane, Wilson

    (Hamer) (Fraser*, Schindler, Kamara)

    Advice appreciated!

Dont rush into selling City assets, chill, they will bounce back emphatically, in their next 2. We know how capable they are

Let the kneejerkers take the transfers for the flavors of the day.

No plans to kneejerk but one MUN asset instead of one of double BOU doesn’t feel so silly at this stage

Mids I agree but Laporte hasn’t justified the extra cash imo

The switch to Digne helps me bring in one MUN asset to test the waters and I can’t justify double BOU with their upcoming matches

    A plea for help.

I am pretty sure this will be my last Fantasy season. I have a hectic job and a one-year-old and just don’t have the headspace to do this properly anymore.

I would like to go out on a high though. I am struggling here - 100 points behind in my minileague and keep missing bandwagons or turning up 3-4 weeks too late, captaining the wrong option (this week - Sterling over Aubameyang).

I have 2 FTs for Boxing Day and want to use them wisely. It seems Man United and Spurs are the places to invest. 0.8m ITB.

    Fabianski / Hamer
    Balbuena / TAA / Laporte / Doherty / AWB
    Salah / Sterling / Richarlison / Fraser / McTominay
    Jimenez / Chicharito / Aubameyang

    Any help is much appreciated.

Fraser / Laporte / McTominay the obvious sticky points, although you can't do much with the latter.

      Fraser could go to Lingard/Martial/Pogba.

Laporte could go to Digne. (I also like VVD but harder short term fixtures... Not that they cannot keep CSs in big games!)

Two West Ham defenders is a liability - I'd take out Balbuena. If TAA is still injured then you might take him out for Lovren. McTominay could be replaced with someone who plays. Not much wrong with the rest of your team

      Good luck.

2 is not simple, but you'd imagine he is more nailed.

1... in my mind, it kind of does, but it's really hard to lose someone like Anderson through these fixtures. Snodgrass is much better to keep through West Ham's tough fixtures, but it does feel a little wrong.

    Patricio
    Alonso, Robertson, Doherty
    Salah, Felipe Anderson, Richarlison, Snodgrass
    Kane, Lacazette, Wilson

    Hamer; Wan-Bissaka, Balbuena, Kenedy.

    2 FT 2.2 ITB

So I've made up my mind to switch to 3-5-2 bringing in Son and Martial. Who needs to go first, Laca or Wilson? And who should make way, Anderson or Snodgrass? These are the options:

    A) Wilson, Felipe Anderson & Kenedy -> Kamara, Son & Martial (0.8 ITB)
    B) Lacazette, Felipe Anderson & Kenedy -> Kamara, Son & Martial (3.8 ITB)
    C) Lacazette, Snodgrass & Kenedy -> Kamara, Son & Martial (1.8 ITB)
    D) Lacazette, Felipe Anderson & Kenedy -> Rashford, Son & Martial (1.2 ITB)

Genuinely staggered. 28 all out after a -8 (which included Kane and Son our for Sane and Hazard). Transfers cost me FORTY-TWO points in total and gone from 50k > 150k.

Just as an extra Christmas bonus, my ML rival scored 106.

    Kane / Aubameyang / Wilson

    Hamer // Fraser / AWB / Camarasa

Fortunately a very nice finish for my team this evening... 2 FTs to use:

    Fraser/Wilson > Martial/Ings

Look alright? Would probably prefer Jimenez vs. Fulham, but 0.1m short of that with Lingard (instead of Martial).

Sterling rest worries me but won't lose value after the first price drop & 1st bencher looks decent either way. Pogba also likely nailed but harder to get in!
