Chip strategy has been all the talk of the Fantasy community over the last week.

The results of the FA Cup fifth-round ties would have firmed up the approaches of some Fantasy managers towards the Free Hit, Bench Boost, Triple Captain and Wildcard chips – though caused uncertainty among others.

With Joe away on a mid-season break, David, Az and Luke share their thoughts on how to navigate Blank Gameweeks 31 and 33 and how they plan to capitalise on the likely Double Gameweeks of 32 and 35.

Our trio of Scoutcasters also examine the options available to Fantasy managers who have used one or more of their chips already.

One player who will be particularly affected by the Blanks and Doubles is Sergio Aguero, so Luke, Az and David discuss whether ditching the Argentinean striker – or performing the “hokey cokey” with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – remains a viable option given how in form the premium Manchester City forward is.

Continuing their discussion on the Blank Gameweeks, our panel muse on whether any out-of-sorts Chelsea assets are worthy of consideration given that the Blues are now guaranteed a fixture in Gameweeks 31 and 33.

The crew then finish off with a detailed look at their Gameweek 27 transfer moves, captaincy decisions, differential picks and clean sheet prospects.

This Scoutcast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday evening. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

Ludicrous the amount of people taking 4, 8 point hits to fill their Blank week starting x1 with dross.

Entertaining players they wouldn't touch with a scoutcast bargepole a few weeks ago yet now these B rated players have been elevated to the status of point machines. They won't suddenly burst into life just because you want them to.

Agree that you need to target the right players and leave the rest. I remember a few years ago where you scored well if you had King and that was about it.

Pretty much. There will be a few players who do very well. If you manage to get them you won't need a full 11 or even 10.

Get the captain right and that could be the peg that your hat hangs on?

There's probably a core of around 7 players that will be in the vast majority of teams. Taking hits to cram dross into the line-up will be of little benefit most likely.

I talked myself out of the Auba/Kun Hokey-cokey because it isn't worth the hit and the nonsense of getting him back for next week. It's more about week 27 than week 31 or 33 right now.

Buying tickets for the raffle and all that.

Don't think a -4 (-2 😉 ) is the worst thing in the world if it allows you to field 11 this week and get a player in that plays in the both later blanks.

Potty fodder doesn't need to be played every week from now till BGW33

BGW 33 so far away, and besides, when Rafa is smiling his chops off at 90 mins with the score at 0-0 and a valuable point in the bag, Rondon will fall from a present rose-tinted lofty height 😉

          There’s potty and then there’s Rondon 😉

I’d prefer to look at King/Wilson closer to the blanks than a Newcastle attacker.

Me too to be honest. Week 31 fixtures looks dire and hardly warrant a rise in your pulse-rate.

I'm excited by a Newcastle attacker for some reason like the abandonment of Victorian principals by the nightclub girls parading along the Tyne.

Why did they abandon Victoria Principal anyway, and what was she doing in Newcastle on a Friday night?

She used to get me excited. Oh those Sallad days!

If he doesn't I'd say there's a great chance he plays both of the league games but personally I think Pep will play his strongest team. It's still a trophy.

I am considering TAA - > Pereira/Lascelles (currently doubling up on LIV defence). Have 6 GW31 starters as of right now, so can potentially build towards 10 for free. Can also bring in Mane this way if needs be...

Does this make sense, or best to swap out a non-GW31 starter instead..?

Think I’m going to Build my team for 31 then FH in 32.

    My team as it stands.
    Fabianski
    Robertson, TAA,Periera, Doherty
    Salah,Son, Pogba,Jota,
    Aubamayang,Rashford

    Hamer, AWB,Groß,Kamara 1FT 3.3m itb.

Dispensable players that I plan to shift and not lose too much value.
    AWB,Jota,Groß,Kamara and Aubamayang.
This week. Save. AWB as back up on the bench.

    5FT’s upto GW 31.
5 gw 31 players as it stands. Plus 4 for the blanks and Aguero as the planned 5 transfers will give me 9 starters for 31.
Not decided on the 4 gw31 players yet. Probably Anderson,Luiz and Bournemouth players.
    How does that sound?

EFL Cup minutes for City’s threesome. Hoping to find some sort of indication for Sunday as I have Sterling and doubting his minutes for the next two Prem games.

Sterling not started an EFL fixture this season but has been subbed on
Sane rested a lot two but this can be down to his Prem form at the time and Mendys injury meaning he was important (at that time)
Mahrez has played the most minutes

    Conclusion: Pep roulette?

    V Oxford

    Sterling - 35 min (sub)
    Sane - 0 min
    Mahrez - 86 min

    V Fulham

    Sterling - 0 mins
    Sane - 90 mins
    Mahrez - 12 mins

    V Leicester

    Sterling - 34 mins (sub)
    Sane - 0min
    Mahrez - 120min

    V Burton

    Sterling - 0min. 0min
    Sane - 66min. 0 min
    Mahrez - 90mins. 90min
